Can Desire HD in 480p Record 120 Fps ? - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi every body, İ Think Desire HD can this. Any Dev. create this patch for Desire HD ? We need this for Smooth Slow Motion

Well it would depend on the software and maybe the hardware to.

I doubt it can do 120fps. The phone wasn't made to do slow motion video capturing, you would probably have to hardware modify and write your own drivers.

Thank you!

720p recording insertcoin v20 don't work :(

hi guys
when i record a 720p video in insertcoin v20 rom the video is overturned and crushed
why?
I have InsertCoin v20 flashed and my HD recording is fine. My settings are 720p and mp4 format.
If that doesn't correct it, perhaps do a full wipe and reflash the ROM

[Q] recorded video playback glitches

when i watch my recorded videos they like pause for a second, the sound does not stop only the image, but while i record the videos it seems fine, doesn't pause. PLEASE HELP
What rom are ya using?
Sent from my Desire HD
That could be a problem if you are using slow sd card.. You need atleast class 4.
This problem is ONLY AND ONLY , because of the ROM you are using. There is not DHD , using STOCK ROM , that has any problems with 720p recording and playback. Just try another ROM and your problem will be fixed
i was on stock rom, i haven't even rooted my DHD when i had that problem, now i got Revolution HD and its fine
I had the same problem on stock ROM. Now on RcMix 3D runny 4.0 it'ok.

Video Problems? LAG?!

Ok so this has annoyed me for ages now and I can't figure out whats the problem, even after 10-12 hours of searching. Basically if I don't have a SIM Card in my phone, videos (Youtube & recorded ones) play perfectly well, no problems. When there's a SIM Card in it when I play a video (both of the above) O get a white flash for a second and the video lags but the audio comes through fine. Any suggestions?
INFO:
HTC Desire HD (Inspire 4G in the USA)
2.3.5 stock OTA update
Sense 3.0
Crap load of apps (NOT THE PROBLEM)
No Root
S-On
I do know a little about Android (might be Root & S-Off soon) but not too much. Help would be appriciated a lot!

Did you try the previous suggestion? When did you first notice the problem?
Have you tried a different sim card? Same sim card in a different phone?
Wifi vs data connection?

A bit more of a drastic fix would be to switch from stock to a custom rom like IceColdSandwich i moved from stock to this and the speed differentness in the rom is huge! tho you do lose sence

Currently I'm using the Android Revolution HD 7.0.4 and I don't have any lag. It runs smooth
try another sim and see if the problem persist. It happened to me once, i never noticed till i switch on simlock.
The was some minor scratches on the sim which cause difficulties for the phone to read it. Indirectly, the phone allocates certain amount of resource to load/read the sim repeatedly which MAY(or may not) explain your lags.
Just sharing my personal experiences, this may or may not be the case for you. Do try other suggestions as well. Btw, im using MOBO player as my video player.
The main thing I'm worried about is Youtube, cause I watch a ton of videos before I sleep (oh the joys of insomnia!) So if that goes im kinfa screwed. The 3rd party video player solved the lag for the locally stored videos (ones on the SD Card) btw

I always use WiFi, sim works perfectly in Nokia N95 8GB & 3GS, first noticed it a while back but ignored it. Ill try another sim later on

Tried it with two different SIM'S (O2 & Vodafone, both UK) to no avail Maybe flashing a new ROM might help? (rooting seems to be a very enticing option now)

Gapps is supposed to be flashed through recovery. If that's what you meant by from sd card, yeah.

stock is very slow and eventually lagged with me too ... one thing i did at the time was used timelines app whenever the phone would slow down to see what was using up the cpu.... turned out the sense app " stocks" was going crazy and loading up by itself and taking up most of my cpu when i was on other apps even though i had never used it before. terminating it and eventually uninstalling the app solved it for me at the time ( had to get root and titanium backup for that. ) hope this helps.. ..

I've heard the camera doesn't work on ICS properly.
CM7 seems to do the job but battery life isn't all that good (ARHD maybe?)
camera works without an issue. only stock videocam doesn't work. which you can use aftermarket app such as illusion videocam.
well... blackice gave me the best battery among the roms I've played around with... but if you like sense, arhd is the best gingerbread sense rom.

Try CM7 RC3 with LordModUE 8.9b7 kernel (there's a thread in the Development section). Set your CPU settings under CM settings to 122-1152 MHz with smartassv2 governor. With that kernel and those settings I got a little more than 4 hours of continuous screen on time with auto brightness the whole time. That's awesome for this phone.

[Q] Problems play FULL HD video

Hello dear friends! Tell me, why does not playback FULL HD 1080I??? With software encoding - brakes, and the description of the processor set that plays FULL HD, generally with a hard coding - the sound and the screen goes black! Why?

Because samsung don't want us to play full HD on middle class phone, hardware is fast enough.
Our screen resolution is only 480x800 so we can't play full HD videos
Try to play video with DICE Player without changing standart settings, on my phone it works and i can watch 1080p.
I dont know if being a noob makes you blind or illiterate.. For the n-th effing time. USE the Q and A thread for QUESTIONS. Is that too much to ask?

I have check it and Ace 2 is to weak to play full hd.Only 720p can go smooth.I have 10fps in full hd but is one but I like theory:
on 800mhz is 10fps
on 600mhz is 5fps
so on 1000mhz should be 15fps
on 1200mhz should be 20fps
and on 1400mhz should be 25 ))))
If you want to play full hd smooth you must wait for OC kernel and pray to get 1400mhz from NT u8500 (near impossible) Or my theory is not god , heh For what you need 1080p? We have 480/800 screen...720p is smooth on Ace 2 and quality is great...you cant see deffrences bettwen 720p/1080p on that phone...Regards

Why do you think that you need more Mhz in order to play a smooth Full HD?
Let me tell you something about hardware acceleration:
- It's a really old feature to have GPU decoding video, that's why every GPU is capable to decode video up to 1080p, CPU is needed only to get data.
- But there is a problem with Hardware acceleration: It only support a limited amount of codecs, so if you video is not x264/AVC, you won't be able to use HW, and cpu is weak by default on this tasks.
- Other problem is data transfer: Full HD have more than 10MB/s bitrate(up to 30MB/s bluray), a lot of SD cards can't sustain this speed, especially when trying to write something at the same time.
I won't recommend watching videos in software mode, CPU is weak for this tasks and you'll end up with low runtime.
Maybe true, but is right that on our screen size and resoliution is enought 720p.
