The photos explain everything
The case "stamped' permanent mark on my phone
Does this happen to you too
That happened to my phone but I rubbed that area a bit and it seemed to go away....

Same here. I guess we have to do this every once in a while.
Same for my lumia 800, just have to rub it
Is it a one year warranty on the case? It's starting to deform a bit at the top right corner.
The Nokia gel cases do carry a 1 year warranty and AT&T told me they tied the purchase to my account so I don't even need a reciept.

I spoke with Nokia today and they said the warranty is 6 months for cases.
That edge on the original gel case is definitely leaving a mark with time. Even rubbing the mark on the phone now still leaves a noticeable mark.
I am going to put a couple layers of scotch tape on the case where that edge is to try and protect the phone.

Just wanted to post this in case anyone else had done this besides me (it was stupid on my part so don't laugh)...
I had purchased the 3-pack screen protectors from the AT&T store a while back for $9.99. I had installed one of them and it was smooth, but didn't quite feel right. I used it for a while and then I began to see small scratches and wondered why it scratched so easily. This started to distract me because I like the look of a "clean" screen. So I decided to remove the protector. Well, when I went to remove it, I realized that when I installed it, I must've only removed the sticker tab applicator thingy in the corner and not the whole protective sheet. So what was scratching was only the protective sheet, not the actual screen protector! I removed the protective sheet to expose a nice, new, smooth screen protector! I know, I'm an idiot. Just wanted to let anyone else out there know to check this in case they notice theirs scratching easily and wondering why... Oh well, you live and you learn...

gotta love the asshats!
now as for a reply:
i use the at&t ones as well and i love them. Very glass like feel to them!
The other month the metal frame round my Desire came loose to the point that it protruded quite uncomfortably in the hand. I bought and fitted a whole new case which was no problem, however now it lets in a lot of dust, mostly through the middle left of the screen, and I'm not talking about a little bit of dust, it lets in crazy amounts that after 2 weeks ends up obscuring the screen completely and I have to take it apart and clean it. I've added a couple of photos to show what I mean:

I think it's to do with the seal but I'm not sure exactly. Anyone else had this issue, or could help? Thanks.
There is a bit of a seal between the glass and the metal in the desire which you might need to replace one way or another. I also think the glass is put on during manufacture in vacuum conditions.
People who repair watches or replace batteries on watches that require to go x number of meters under water have to go through a similar process. Might be worth seeing what they can do.
it's quite unfortunate. Good luck with sorting out the issue.
I have the same problem. I once dismantaled the entire thing, cleaned out the dust and put it back together. It mostly got cleared for a while but then came back.
I've gotten used to it now...
Remember the two in one case sprint was selling the rubber that snaps around the phone then the phone snaps into the holster.
That dam thing has worn a hole through the phone above the speaker .its a small silver hole

If so that's the exact same case I have myself.
Please do post pics of the damage as now you have me worried whether the same thing might happen to mine.
The locking tab is rubbing the phone every time I remove or put the phone in it .
Just make sure to bend the tab way back even when putting the phone in , but I don't know if bending it so much will weaken it and let the phone fall out one day.

That's what I do.
So I take it you've just been snapping it in without doing that?

Glasszone tampered screen protector that I must of had for a year now with urban armor gear case. Everything was good up until today.
I thought it would be cool to put my phone on my rc car.. so I ziptied it to the rear shock tower without the body on. Was cool for about 15 seconds when I decided to go full throttle down the straight in front of my house, hitting a rough spot in the dirt and flipping it over lol,
Anyways, besides that, the protector worked out great.
but now for repairing my phone, I want another one, but not sure if I want to shell out near $30 bucks on another protector. Anyone got any experience with the clear ones on ebay for about $10 bucks or so?
Also I am kinda interested in this one

I went and ordered a white replacement screen (my phone was blue and the glasszone protector I had was black), so I want to go with a white protector, or maybe the clear ones.

Ohh, and I'm tired of the update available prompt (rooted with custom kernel)
Want to go back to stock, and flash 6.0. But had two drops that damaged the corners and moulding holding the screen. Screen itself is fine, but worry that it will separate in time.
Just filed claim with Square Trade (bought at Staples), and their recommendation was to send me a check. Not sure how much?
I did have epoxy on one corner, but it chipped away. Need a more solid repair.
Any good source for parts? And how hard of a self repair?
What about sending g back to ASUS for repair?
Thanks for comments....
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
http://www.etradesupply.com/asus-google-nexus-7-lcd-and-digitizer-assembly-with-frame-black.html
$44
From the videos, it looks like the broken bezels are part of the front housing. But it also looks virtually impossible to separate the screen/digitizer from that without damaging it. I think this full assembly would be much easier.
Now what would be cost to send to ASUS, or to just get my check and apply a few more dabs of epoxy?
Does it really matter?
Mines chipped at three corners. Granted only one is as big as yours, but its working fine.
Yeah...works fine. But could look better. Was thinking it could degrade over time and effect display.
Squaretrade said to send it to them for $239 refund. Just had to order an Asus charger for $10 to include with my return.
