Request: Remap home button - Galaxy S III Themes and Apps

I'm looking for an application where I can remap the double click on the home button so it goes to recent apps.
Rather double click for recent apps and long press for S Voice

Any luck with getting this accomplished? I too would like to remap the home button to match my iphone 4s: long press for Siri, double press for running apps. Please let me know if this can be done. Thanks.

Missing Menu Buttons

Hi Guys,
Strange problem, but on my HOX after flashing LeeDroid, my Menu button in the top right is missing from Play Store (so I can't access My Apps) I just have the spyglass. Also the menu button is missing in some apps (Like in Zedge)
Any ideas?
That means your menu will be either
1 recent apps button
2 long press recent apps button
3 home button
4 long press home button
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Does tapping the recent apps button bring up the menu instead?

No, recent apps brings up recent apps as does a long press. Home button long press also brings up recent apps.
But good suggestions all the same! It's going to be something simple I bet....

Adding Hardware button shortcuts

I'm looking for a tool that can assign shortcuts or the likes, by long pressing one of the hardware buttons.
(Like Long pressing home opens recent apps and longpress power button opens shutdown menu.)
I've searched a litte but nothing usefull comes up.
Thanks.
Use this app-Home2 Shortcut from the play store..works well..

Thanks for the input, but it stays up, Taking RAM & Battery. I was looking more for a sort of System edit to make it work, without having an app open all the time.
Else I'd just use swipe opener.

Remap multitask to menu?

Any way to do this without root on the Note 4? I believe HTC offers this option on their M7 and M8 phones, so I really hope Samsung did the same since they switched it.
yes please! I believe it can be done but uncertain without decompiling the app doing some recoding and then recompile the results into a .apk file.
Hold the button down....it's menu with a long press of the multitasking button

That's the exact opposite I want.

Thanks! I'll take it over the three dots or lines at the top.

haha me too i want menu one touch menu and recent long press of home button
I didn't realize the back button still did menu with a long-press. Glad to have learned that rather than having to search the 4 corners of the screen to see where the menu in whatever app is hidden.
When root is found, it should be a simple thing to flip the functionality of it right?
Also, anyone else wish there was a flashlight quick toggle in the notification tray?

Custom navbars not working

Hi.
So I've been trying to get my navbar buttons to work as they did in my previous phone. What would be:
Recent apps short press: open menu
Recent apps long press: search
Recent apps double tap: open assistant
Home button short press: home
Home button long press: recent apps
Home button double tap: split screen
Back button short press: back
Back button long press: kill app
Remaping the buttons doesn't seem an option since the soft keys are not detected as buttons. I rooted my device as well.
I've tried several methods using other apps that should replace the stock navbar but those despite being shown they do nothing.
I would also like to have it so the home button is disabled when typing.
I would really appreciate some help. Thanks
-Device: OP5T
-OS: OOS9.0.5
-Rooted with magisk. Twrp recovery. No xposed
Most of the functions you listed can be achieved by using the navbar customization built into Oxygen OS. (Settings->Buttons->Navigation Bar->Customization) The kill app button could probably be done with Tasker.

Although it is true the actions themselves are available on the stock menu apart from search and kill app. The short press action cannot be changed
Ah, didn't notice the menu one. Just for curiosity, do apps still support a menu button function? I haven't seen a hardware menu button in years.

Oh yes they do. All of the ones I use at least it just opens whatever menu the app has that you would access by pressing on 3 dots. I just hate that some apps use other methods so you always have to think how to open the menu as oposed to just pressing the same thing

Question double tap power for camera

You can't double tap power to open another app other than the default Google camera app. But you can set the double tap feature to open an app of your choice.
Setting/system/gestures/
that workaround will have to do for now, much appreciated
You can also map another double tap on the up volume button for example to launch an app using Button Mapper.
Button Mapper: Remap your keys - Apps on Google Play
Remap hardware buttons to launch any app, shortcut or action
play.google.com
Nothing to map soft keys though. I'm looking for 'double-tap' back button for notifications, like the OnePlus 8 Pro has.
