[Q] Losing Mobile Network - HTC One X

recently i noticed that sometimes when i unlock my phone , i have no mobile network ( all the network bars are gray and there is an "x" next to it . when i try to go to setting to search for network , i get an error message , and i tried to start the "flight mode" it says starting flight mode and stuck there , the only solution is to reboot the phone , i noticed this after i flashed ARHD 7.0.0 , and now im on ARHD 7.1.0 with the same issue .
NOTE: i posted my question here , not in the ARHD thread , because im not sure if its relate to the rom or the device , so please no more "face-palm"

I used to have the very same problem on my Nexus S when using CM9 on stock it was ok.Maybe it is radio problem. On HOX I have simillar problem, when I have mobile data on and lock the phone after a while when I unlock it the mobile data is off, like sleeping and when I unlock it starts to work again.

I have the issue where the WiFi turns off at night , bu this one is annoying because I have to keep checking if my network is on

For your problem search the play store for "smart sync". A dev from here made it and it works for stock non rooted phones too.
I have the problem that sometimes I lose any signal, no wifi, no 3g and no phone signal. Sometimes when I unlock phone it comes back but sometimes I have to use the flight mode to get it or even reboot phone.

Having exactly the same problem on the One X of my mom that come from French to Vietnam now. The phone is unbranded, locked with everything to stock. So it's certainly not a ROM related issue, I suspect a baseband problem. The baseband of this phone is 2.1204.135.20 on 2.17.401.2 build. I'll try to make a factory reset for see if it change anything then i'll report.
Edit:
Just made some more search about this problem. Here someone posted something that fixed his problem. Just did but didn't have time to see if it's really fix the problem.

Wi-fi scan problem

I can no longer connect to wifi.
I turn it on and it scans for like half a second, returning no results, only sometimes it finds a few low-signal secure adress, only to disappear a few seconds later. If i try to connect to an open network it's stuck on "connecting" and then it disappears from the list again! It won't even show the remembered ones.
I tried flashing a different kernel, another rom, even trying the wifi on the stock froyo, but still same issues.
Anyone who could help me solve this issue?
Download wifi manager from android market. See if that works

Same issue sadly, can't find any network.
You have already tried other ROMs and kernels, but I think you have to flash another radio....
You got to search which radio version works the best with the ROM you use
I have the same problem. The guys from HTC Romania told me to sent the phone to the warranty, but the phone is rooted. I`m waiting for an unroot .
HTC Sense works for you?
Flashed all 3 radios specified in this thread:

Still nothing.
And yes HTC sense works.

State what you tried. Was it working before the current rom you are using? When was the first time it happened? Does it happen in other roms?
What error are you getting? Is it a force close? If so go into recovery and fix permissions.
You can always full wipe, reflash or flash a different rom.

I tried flashing other ROMs ( IceColdSandwich , a rooted stock-rom , another version of AndroidRevolution HD .. ) , flashing another radio , doing this superwipe-thing , i even tried another wifi-antenna , i had android revolution hd for something like 1 or 2 months now and it worked perfectly until last week , when i first noticed that i can't turn on wifi . I attached a screenshot of the error to this post ( "Fehler" is german for error )
When you tried a different wifi antenna what do you mean? On your cellphone or connecting to a different router?
Have you tried cleaning the contacts? And all of that? There have been a few posts about this. If you did all of that it seems that it comes down to be a hardware problem. But I may be wrong.
Edit: go back to the previous link cool800i suggested, I added a few things there.

i tried using another battery cover ( because i knew that the wifi antenna is in there ) , no it's definitely not the router , any suggestions on what to do if it's hardware problem ?

Besides trying it without the sd card, and then without the sim card, cleaning contacts and such, nope. Do a search, there have been a few posts similar to yours.
I don't want to suggest anything hardware wise since I have no knowledge in that area. Last time I took my ps3 apart I had 7 screws leftover

WiFi on ARHD 8.x.x

Hey..
So I'm not new to Android development and ROMs but I just can't find any possible explanation or even a temp solution to WiFi on my HOX running ARHD 8.0.0 and 8.1.0
My HOX will not connect to my home network and is stuck on "Obtaining IP address" !!
I tried wiping cache, full wipe and reflash ROM, rebooting both phone and router, turning airplane mode on and off, static IP but no use...
I updated to ARHD 8.1.0 but the problem is still there, and I tried the maXimus ROM.. seems the problem has something to do with the new base or Sense 4.1 .. because those ROMs all use that base, while AOSP / old base ROMs perfectly connect to WiFi.
Each one of the 3 ROMs (ARHD 8, 8.1 and maXimus) connected to that network once after flashing but after that stopped connecting (optaining IP)
any ideas?? I really love the better Sense UI speed and the overall fixes and I abandoned the CM10 ROM for this.. Please help !! Thanks in advance
Sorry if I mess up everything in English, my first language is Greek
Hi this has heppend to me a few times turn your WiFi box of for about 10 sec and turn it of on your phone aswell turn ye box back on then it phone WiFi
Then it should work

Flash the boot.img..
Try a different kernel and see if that solves any of your problems
WiFi Fixer App did it for me... Had a WiFi /3G issue right after flashing the first CM10 p12 that came out Saturday afternoon, when neither 3G or WiFi would get internet... Apparently it has soneghing to do with the different areas worldwide where Fones with slightly different hardware are sold.. Try the app and see if it works..

thanks guys !! the problem seems to have strangely fixed itself without any effort from me I was just going to make a call and noticed it was connected to the network and working very well.. and when I was at a cafe it connected normally to the network there
tried a reboot and it still works.. finally
I still don't understand what's happening but I'm glad it's fixed !
Thanks a lot for your help !!

[Q] Baseband version becomes unknown after restart

I'm using Droid Incredible 2 and facing a strange problem that I need help
My phone is using GSM network and rom Cyanogenmod 7 stable version
The phone works without problem until I restart the phone, the Baseband version becomes unknown and the notification shows the message "No service" so I don't have any mobile network
I tried to reflash the ROM and the problem seemed disappear. But when I perform a restart, I experience the same problem again
Is there anyone know how to solve this problem?

I would ask in the rom specific thread. You're more likely to get someone with experience with that rom to answer.

He can't post there most likely since he has only 2 posts. I had an issue with Viper like this but thought it was related to Hurricane Sandy....
One morning I grab my phone off the usb (computer) and it says Vodafone instead of VZW on the lock screen. Hmmm. Reboot and nothing changes. Can't send of receive texts or connect to 3g but phone works. I tried pulling battery, sim card....to no avail. As a last resort I wiped data and it has worked since with no issue although that forced me to re-install all my apps.
Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your suggest. I wiped data and my phone works too. But I wonder what is the root cause of this issue? A problem of custom rom ???

[Q] Packet Data and Signal not working on my one x

Hey all,
I have had my one x (running unofficial cyanogenmod 10 nightlies) for over 3 months now, but recently, my mobile data connection dropped. Now, the signal often disappears (especially when i reboot) and it takes random fiddling with settings to fix. When i do get signal, i can call and text, but am still unable to use packet data. I tried taking out the sim method and even factory reset my phone (still running cyanogenmod.) Now it wont let me connect to my google account as it says "cant find a reliable server" so i cant even restore my app with titanium backup. Is this likely to be problem with the rom? If so, should i flash another (eg viperx rom?)
Thanks for any help
Well it doesnt hurt to try a different rom ..... just do it and find out if the problem is sotware related
Thanks
