Hello, O'Holy XDA.
I'm a totaly newbie on this, and i was hoping to get some help. (sorry if my english is bad, I'm from Norway)
I have installed advanced hack tool kit on my device, and the ROM called Android Revolution HD. The phone boots perfect, but when i have typed in the Pin-Code, i get a whole bunch of messages nobody wants to see. The messages sounds like this;
-The application Facebook (process com.facebook.katana)has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
-The process com.htc.bg has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
-The Application YouTube (process com.google.android.youtube)has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
-The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
When i press the button that says "Force close", the messages keep on popping up
on the screen. And from here, i cant do anything. I can't use the phone, because it just appears to boot from scratch, with that i mean that the HTC logo comes up, the same as when you turn the phone on, if it has been turned off, when i finally got those messages to stop popping up. Difficult sentence, sorry for that.
I dont know if i was stupid, but I thought it would be smart to format the sd card, but it didn't work at all. Now i feel like an useless kid.
Big thanks to the person(s) that can help me with this, it would be brilliant!
it really sounds like you didnt wipe all data off the phone before installing that rom.
Thanks
Thank you for the fast reply, it did work for me!
Works

I decided to switch from CM7 to Fresh today, and boy was that a mistake! I can't get most of the apps to work, and I can't get market to work so I can't re-download ROM Manager to go back, and I can't get it to boot into recovery!
HELP!
I can't use messaging, email, or phone. The dialer won't pop up when I press it, and the others force close before I can even get into the app. Settings force closes when I try to change various things. Android.process force closes every 2 seconds. Market force closes if I try to download anything. I'm getting no messages, emails, etc. I tried to download ROM Manager by going to android.com/market since only the premium license shows up, tried to send it to my phone and it never shows up or downloads. When I try to reboot by holding down the volume and power button it just goes straight to the Fresh boot screen, no bootloader. Have I wrecked up my phone beyond repair at this point? I'm freaking out oh just a little bit!
I realllly wanted to use this ROM, but not at this cost. Hopefully someone has some suggestions on how to get my phone back in working order.
*****UPDATE*****
Please excuse my panic! I fixed this issue by doing a factory data reset. So simple that I overlooked it.

LOL, while reading that, I was gonna ask if you tried a reset and rewipe....
Hello all...i'm a noob
I have an EVO 4G and i've been rooted for a few months now and have flashed a few roms. Sprint Lovers All in one was my first and now i've switched to MikG.
Initially, i downloaded and flashed to 2.58. Was having some issues with the com.htc.launcher so i decided i'd wipe everything again. Downloaded 2.59 and after full wipe of everything 3x flashed that.
I did have Go Launcher EX installed and have removed that. Could this be an issue with that or with something i restored through Titanium as well?
I have searched forums, internet and i can't find anything that will resolve this issue. I have tried to clear the data under manage applications for both sense apps that are on my phone to no avail.
Weird thing is that i seem to be getting the "sorry, the application htc sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again" error only after trying to launch the calendar through the widget but it happens when i launch the app itself as well. Force close is my only option and when i hit force close, of course, sense restarts.
Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Thank you!

Take a look at this, maybe it'll help

Hey 7j7man...I tried that to no avail prior to my OP. Any other suggestions?
Thanks..
Hello, noob here.
I've tried doing some homework searching but could not fin anything specific to my situation or written in plain english that a noob like myself can understand. Here's what happened:
I bought a phone and activated it with Sprint
I got it "rooted" through UnrEVOked3 website/program
I installed a bunch of awesome crap including Titanium Backup
Whilst exploring TB and killing off bloatware from Sprint, I was sure that i was uninstalling a htc.android.stock file, which I thought was the Stocks app, I accidentally removed some other file, blatantly ignoring and not reading the warning messages. After forcing the uninstall, I got a loop saying that service htc.android.phone is not working and that I need to Force Close it. Obviosly I neglected to create a backup file.
I restarted the phone, same message, this time not looped appeared after boot, now my mobile service won't turn on. Needless to say I can't receive or place any calls or send sms.
I have so far tried resetting the phone to factory settings from the fast boot menu.
Here's what I need help with
I know that there is a way to just "push" the missing file into the stock ROM. I need a detailed description, in English please, with step by step instruction on how to do that. Hell, at this point I'm open to just flashing the stock ROM on the phone.
Please please please help
P.S. I'm downloading Flashtool as I'm writing this thread.
Just flash the stock ROM, after making any backups you would like of course.
Find the ROM you would like, download and put it on your sd card.
Boot to recovery, wipe ALL/factory reset, cache, dalvik cache, system, and boot
Select flash and select the .zip for the ROM you chose.
If you can find the stock ROM you are on and would like to keep all your data, you can simply wipe system and flash the ROM, all data will remain intact.
You can hit me up on gtalk if you would like me to guide you through it. PM me for the contact.
just as a hail mary, tried running unrevoked3 again, to reflash the phone to ClockworkWhateverthehell, same story, "the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Force close.

unrevoked is simply the root method, to gain superuser access, has nothing to do with the ROM.
what is your ROM version? check under settings > about phone > software
Whenever I try to get into setting/about phone/software, it dumps me back out to the home screen with the same damn msg. As far as I can recall it was version 2.2.
thank bro. I downloaded a ROM of htcevohacks and was able to upload it to the phone with little guessing. now the dialer works and my phone is a lean mean calling texting machine.
I have a first generation kindle fire that I have not ever rooted. I side-loaded a bunch of launchers onto it in order to see what would work. I accidentally set the Xperia Home launcher as default before confirming that it worked and now I'm stuck in a permanent loop with an error message that says:
"The application Xperia Home (process com.sonyericsson.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." When I tap Force Close, it continues to come back up.
I saw a similar thread where someone ran into this problem, but on a rooted device. My device is basically stock. Is there anyone that can help me? Thanks in advance.
Race it to factory reset and reset it. I know it seems like you can`t do it but many succeed.

It worked, and I didn't have to factory reset. I got lucky. I quick tapped the notification bar and because Android App Manager was running, I was able to keep at it and open it to uninstall the Launcher which resolved the issue.

Thanks again for any replys. Im in way over my head with this so beer token on offer to who solves this.
If you can get into settings you could try going to apps and force closing set up wizard, you could also try wiping it's data or cache if that does not work.

Hi, thanks 4 the reply.
I just tried it and no luck. I stopped the wizard process then restarted phone.
It starts to say updating andriod apps on a white screen and there is only 8 apps to update usually there is like 60+ apps it runs through.
Looks like Im missing a load of apps .
Yes it looks like you have an incomplete or corrupt flash. You are probably best to follow one of the guides to go back to stock and start again from scratch.
