thanks, i followed all the relevent info for me there, seems the site psas://revskills.de seems to be not working, i type in the cid number and security symbles but when click to get goldcard it just comes up saying page can not be displayed, is there anywhere else i would be able to obtain a goldcard?
im going crazy cant flash recovery img in fastboot it says can not find, adb wont recognise the phone gives nothing when look for devices, get serial number in fastboot and fastboot oem fastboot says cid htc__001,
no matter what i do nothing works but htc says at it goes to fast boot etc its just a software issue

post hboot screen info:
mostly hboot version and are you s-off?
HTC__001 is unbranded so run WWE RUU 2.29.405xxx if your hboot is 0.93 or lower

to Kotag82, hboot is as follows
bravo pvt1 ahip s-on
hbbot 1.03.0003
microp-031d
radio-5-11-05-27,
i bought it from ebay, i dont know its history and messages are not being replied to, when i tried to run a ruu from the laptop as told should work, i got error 140 saying needed correct ruu, and did say the current version was 2.3.5,
i only have fastboot, adb will not recognise the phone as i believe usb debugging is not enabled, i have a goldcard, i have tried flashing PB99IMG from fastboot etc, nothing seems to work

Ok no probs... You have htcdev unlocked device. So far good, boot phone to fastboot and run command in cmd fastboot devices Is it recognised now? If not you need to uninstall htc sync if installed and download USB modified drivers from revolutionary website... Then you can flash recovery of your choice via fastboot. Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Wipe your phone in recovery and flash rom of your choice but bear in mind you have to use stock hboot variant of rom

Why did you run that bloody RUU? That was last thing to run. Let it cool or stick it in bag and do freezer trick... Keep trying 2.3.3 RUU

was told it was the latest and would sort phone for me, after its cooled down do i just boot up again, re run the ruu or do the recovery.img
wish i could just send it away and get it back all sorted lol

Forget about recovery because you are on full s-on you can not flash it( for that reason I did not tell you-easier to get it working by you)... Keep trying RUU if not working xclip in phone shop may help you to get it working somehow but this is behind my knowledge

i let it cool down, rebooted it, stayed on white screen saying htc for a while, then went to black screen with 3 green triangles 2 around the outside forming a circle and the other in the middle, then went to white screen saying htc and quietly brill, then came on to normal htc home screen, before had chace to do anything it went off and just rebooted it self comes to white htc screen few seconds later off then back to white htc screen over and over, guess i have bugged it now

Unrevoked or revolutionary needs android running

Freezer trick... You were ripped, you bought pvt1 model well known for mobo overheating issue, keep trying hopefully it will boot... But look for another phone

You can still try the hboot downgrade. It is linked in bortaks guide (resources). Do s-off afterwards, flash a ROM and see if it works. If not, you can still throw it away.
edit: Just saw that hboot is already 1.02..wonder how that happended without downgrader? Can you still access fastboot, or does it also reboot there?

muellersmattes..
yes i can get into fastboot and it did boot up so i enabled usb debugging

So it's running now? Or is it still rebooting? If the latter, it may be that faulty mainboard. If it's running fine now, you can do S-OFF with revolutionary.

[Q] Potential Internal memory corrupt Issue with S-On (Flashed 2.3 RUU)

I have flashed the original 2.3 RUU upgrade from Htc dev. The phone is stuck on boot loop. It stays on HTC logo screen for few seconds and then restart again.
History:
I originally had RCMix installed on my phone. Suddenly the phone restarted and then got stuck on Joker screen. I found out that the memory card was corrupted, so reformatted sdcard through windows. Tried re-flashing but again was getting stuck on joker screen.
I flashed RUU's (initially Amoled one and got blank screen for a while) successfully but again was getting stuck on boot screen with no access to recovery , could only access fastboot.
So as a last resort , tried flashing 2.3 upgrade , so its no more stuck on the htc logo now, but keep restarting from that logo screen.
1) I understand it could potentially be a Mboard or Nand issue, but I suspect it could also just be bad sectors on internal memory or some other internal memory corrupt issue. Any thoughts ?
2) I could delete those partitions using fastboot commander but after using RUU , I have got a S-On device now. Is it possible to do S-Off just with fastboot without access to recovery/Adb ?
(Tried asking this on Revolutionary IRC, but no answers)
Got this device from e-bay and htc customer care says they don't honour the warranty after flashing 2.3 upgrade.
PS: I have tried searching and posting on various threads, but still looking for answers. That's why created a new thread.

try leaving it for an hour or so, and then stick it in your freezer for 10 minutes in a plastic bag (no joke), then try again with the 2.3 RUU.. not much else you can do I'm afraid.
So is it a bricked device now even when I can access fastboot ?
try to boot it without the sd card..
as the first boot require some time, wait 15 minutes or more..
Did you DOWNGRADE hboot??? and than intall stock hboot?? which hboot did you used? if the new ones from alpharev.nl you'd probably didn't read this "Downgrade protection, these HBOOTs cannot be overwritten by an OTA or RUU, unless you flash a downgrader HBOOT first." it's not too late for downgrade... just do it on fastboot

I did S-Off using alpharev few months earlier but don't remember specifically running any downgrade. After installing the RUU, the Hboot got overwritten, so definitely I was not on the latest alpharev's HBoot's.
Now to downgrade or S-Off , the phone needs to be detected by the setup, which uses adb. But I can not access adb, can only access FastBoot.
i think you can try to flash stock hboot on fastboot by fastboot tool and than do the RUU again... you can... try...

I don't think that's doable, is it ? I don't think we can downgrade the Hboot just like that with S-On.
The risk is loosing the access to Hboot/fastboot itself.
I tried that and it doesn't work with S-ON. I can't access my phone outside fastboot and hboot and I can't even flash radio that way... So now I have an expensive mp3 player with (occasional) wifi access... Anyone have a solution?

I think only way for us is to go to HTC now unless otherwise a senior member here sees this post and suggests something else.

Don't you have to be S-Off to flash recovery? I went through the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137763 and it seems I won't be able to flash it, since I'm still S-On
Yes, Seems that my device is bricked and only way out seems to be HTC now.
ridhavm,
Have you swapped hboots to Downgrade from alpharev's site?
If not, then you are still S-OFF.
Check your hboot if it's not old one.
If you are desperate, you can msg me on gTalk. I can have a look. I have saved many phones, so if it's not physical damage, we will work it out.

RUU 110 error help

I had friends alpharev hboot RUU 1.8 r2 CM7 CM7 r2 installed the system has failed to establish when it comes hboot trying to open because of the HTC says the phone will not turn on the four corners bootloadder exclamation comes only allows you to install RUU ondada error occurs when installing the system please help
I'm not joking when I say I answer this question every day. It's not a dig at you in particular but why don't people get this?
The cm7 r2 partition is too small for a stock Rom. Also the hboot has write protection on it. You must flash the downgrade.img from the alpharev website in fastboot mode (from off, back+power) using fastboot commands THEN RUU
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
So, if you have already made the mistake of running the RUU first and gotten the error 110, can you still just go flash the downgrade.img and then RUU again or do you have to take stronger messures in hand to fix your mistake?
Edit: my friend made the mistake, which means i dont have the device on hand so i can see if thats even possible..
Yes you can, due to the fact that you are still S-OFF because the r2 Hboots by alpharev have an overwrite protection against RUU or OTA.
Yes you can. The only thing is the fastboot screen looks like 4 !!!! instead of the text it usually has, but it still functions
Do not have an opportunity to show a way to fix you happy
How about CWM? Would you be able to access that or has it been replaced or broken in some way?
(you might be able to read between the lines, that I dont know much about this stuff)
No, everything has gone except hboot. Fastboot flash downgrade.img then RUU is the ONLY fix
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
Thx m8's, really appreciate it, I've gone ahead and thumbed all your posts up
4 fastboot commands work well with an exclamation point on the screen is by HTC so I can do with downgrade.img and fastboot commands will open the RUU bootloader then yeah
So, my friend claims he got fastboot working and flashed the downgrader.img only to get a bootloader error 140 when running the RUU. Atm im trying to get him to use an RUU reported to work here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=857245&highlight=140. Plz let me know if this is not the right approach.
It just means the RUU he has has too old a hboot version. What RUU is it?

Once you have the downgrade.img flast via fastboot, Maybe the htcdev.com android 2.3 RUU will work as it is unbranded. It works for most branded devices, but I dont know for sure if your Carrier in your location is covered.
The RUU is here:
http://www.htcdev.com/process/legal_download/152
Go there, tick the agree box and proceed. Try to flash that (ONLY after flashing downgrade.img) and see what happens.

[Q] Bricked my phone?

I had rooted my Desire about 1 year ago. Updated to GB 8 months ago (forgot which ROM). Friday my phone stopped Sync'ing all mail/twitter/fb etc. Figured it was time to upgrade to a new ROM. Since I was still S-On, I ran Revolution and got to S-Off. I then wanted to change to 4EXTRecovery, but couldn't get it to take. So tried to run the updated CWM and that didn't upgrade the Recovery version (2.5 something). I figured I would start over from RUU, so ran a RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe. It failed with an Error 130 Wrong Device. So I figured I need a Telstra version (branded phone), so ran RUU_Bravo_Froyo_Telstra_WWE_2.26.841.2_Radio_32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14_release_150162_signed and I get an Error 140 bootloader. The phone is now at the black htc screen with 4 exclamation points. When I unplug the usb, it shows the following:
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.00.0000
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYMT0101
RADIO-5.11.05.14
Mar 29 2010,21:34:33
RUU
I think I can still AndroidFlash it, but it gives some FAILS in the log and doesn't change the above info when trying the AlphaRev hboot files.
Any suggestions? I have been searching for 2 days on ways to get this fixed. I can't get to fastboot or recovery, and ADB doesn't list the device.
Cheers
Download the downgrade.img from alpharev
Pull teh battery out of the device, replace.
Hold Back and press power
At the 4 triangles (you are actually in fastboot) Connect USB
Fastboot flash hboot c:\downgrade.img (or whatever the path\name is)
Once complete, pull battery again
Back and power again
Run Correct RUU
Also, if you want to flash a stock ROM, you can flash
RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade (Gingerbread).exe
and you can download from HTC dev site, but first we wait news from you that you fixed the boot problem
When I run AndroidFlasher with the downgrade.img selected as bootlooder I get the following:
1. When clicking "I'm in fastboot", the window just sits there and nothing happens (waited 10 miutes).
2. Without "I'm in fasboot" ticked, it gives "Error your phone is not plugged in or drivers aren't installed" then "Error, your phone is S-On"
Cheers
As you posted above you are s-on you can not flash downgrade, you need to flash correct ruu

Installing Stock Rom doesn't work

Hi there,
as I recently bought the HTC One X, I wanted to reinstall a Stock Rom to my old Desire. Unfortunately it won't work for some reason, as I always get an Error [110].
I have tried the following releases from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667 :
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.15.405.4_Radio_32.30.00.28U_4. 05.00.11_release_122704.exe
RUU_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4. 06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.exe
(the phone used to be branded by o2 Germany, but I wanted to install a branding-free rom).
When I try to start the boot loader of the Desire now, I just get the HT screen with warning signs in all 4 corners. Please find attached a photo of the screen + a screenshot from the error message (for some reason it's in German, but you'll get the idea).
As I cannot access the actual hboot (CM7rev2 hboot was installed) I can't even install a "normal" rom.
As I don't necessarily need the phone right now it's not that urgent, but I hope you can help me anyway.
Cheers!
did you change hboot back to stock? I haven't done it first time and got the same problem. there is a solution but can't remember where.. try googling..
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
No, forgot about that, but now it seems like it's too late to do this, isn't it?
From my understanding, that state your phone is in is fastboot. That means you can probably flash the hboot downgrader from alpharev and run a RUU again.
via xda app
your phone is in fastboot mode at the HTC logo with 4 "!". Download hboot downgrader from alpharev and flash it before rerunning RUU.

but if you dont have S-Off, cant access to anything instead of fastboot.. from which i can only flash stock ruu's but no one of ruu's are installing successfuly.
so i cant flash hboot, recovery or anything else... that means that the only solution is to reach nearest JTag service...
hm... but if he forgot to downgrade then I assume that he was s-off. so it's doable. I was there... scared the p*ss out of me... ;-)

It won't work with revolutionary / alpharev, it's always stuck at "Waiting for device".
I really don't know what to do now. Any other ideas?
EDIT: I also tried unrevoked just to see if it recognizes my phone, but its the same there: "Waiting for device".
Its late and I'm tired so sorry if you've already tried this...
Install HTC software on your pc and android sdk (to get the drivers and fastboot)
Plug in your phone when its on the 4 !'s screen
fastboot flash alpharevs bravo_downgrade.img
unplug the phone, pull the battery, put it back in, turn it back on then plug it back in (or just reboot the boot loader with fastboot)
then try running this RUU http://www.filefactory.com/file/b4a4027/n/RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.29.405.5_Radio_32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27_release_159811_signed.exe
If that doesnt work see what version it says you're when the ruu says what version you're on and what you're updating to and download the ruu with the same number as the one you already have and see if that helps.

[Q] Phone unable to boot

Hello, I know I posted a similar thread but the problem has changed.
Here's the story;
I went to put in a custom rom on my HTC Wildfire S (this mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1515120 ), everything was going okay, but all of a sudden the phone was stuck on the white HTC screen for about 15 minutes. So I took out the battery and tried again, once again it was stuck on the HTC screen. So I take out the battery, now I boot into Recovery, seems to be working I think to myself, so I do a factory reset. Result! I now see the bootloading screen! Oh wait a second, 10 minutes pass, and nothing happens. Stuck on the loading screen. So, I go back to my recovery and attempt to restore my phone to its previous state before trying to install a custom rom. It says it works, and does. But I then had a black screen. Rebooted, reset, tried installing stock roms, erasing data, more data, more reinstalling of stock roms but now all I'm getting is an unbootable phone. My phone will not boot, it just jumps straight into ClockworkMOD regardless of what I do.
My clockwork recovery version is: ClockworkMod Recovery v5.0.2.8
My HBOOT MARVEL PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
1.09.0099
MICROP-0451

If someone could help that would be fantastic.
Thank you in advance.

Have you tried using a RUU to factory reset your phone back to stock? It sounds like your phone could use it...
You should go to shipped-roms.com and look for the marvel ruus. Try to select one that is newer and in wwe (world wide English) as it will be debranded. Since you are s-off the phone should not give you any trouble
If you can't get the ruu to run come back here and i will walk you through it Pal

No I don't believe I have, right I'm just downloading one of the RUU Marvel roms (RUU_Marvel_HTC_TUR_1.37.468.3_R3_Radio_47.10.35.3029H_7.46.35.08_release_196383_signed.exe) hopefully fingers crossed this will work. Thank you
And I have absolutely no idea as I bought this phone second hand. How would I find this out?

That rom is Turkish i believe pal, look for one with WWE in the title. Also look underneath the battery at the sticker, there should be some kind of model reference
