Hi.
I don't know if anybody has done it already (If someone has, I can't find it) but has anybody been able to make that bootanimation for the EVO?
Thank you in advance
someone has. there is a thread circulating this forum. I had used it but didn't like it too much
sent via HTC EVO
Me too I want the original not the one that they cut

I had it for awhile and thought it was pretty dumb, along with the SW LWPs. They could have done a lot better all the way around.

are you talking about the Droid 2 R2D2 Boot animation? If so, here is it. Flash through recovery: http://www.multiupload.com/PGD0EZP32C
Awesome work , wouldn't happen to have the ringtones too would you
never mind saw they are included
I did find some posts regarding this bootanimation, but they were either for the droid or for the hero. I've downloaded the one 2 posts above but I only get a black screen. Any ideas?

you need to use the bootanimation.zip in the system/media/ within the .zip itself
Here is the Boot Animation and a sound I put together. I put it all in the
system/media/ using push method.
Enjoy!!!!
I will also post the apk live wallpapers and the wallpapers for the R2D2 droid also when i can pull them off my phone.
Here are the Live Wallpapers most of them you have to shake to activate them.

Hey everyone,
So I have a thread posted in Themes and Apps but I need a little help. I decided to extract png files from the AT&T boot animation and invert them. People are reporting the boot animation is not working for them so what I am wondering is will one or some of you look at the files and tell me if there's an issue. It plays just fine in bootanimation factory, but it seems to be an issue in rom toolbox. I want to figure this out. Here's the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1906092
Thanks so much. I feel like it's probably a really stupid mistake as a result of too many beers when making it.
I should also mention I made the original for someone else and it worked for both me and him, then I messed with the inverted and that worked for me too, at least on UCALH9 with insecure stock kernel and bootanimation support.
Also here is the original request thread:

I want to flash this but I also want to have a way to get the stock one or cm10.1 boot animation back. Could someone explain where I would get those 2 boot animations from? And if I reflash a ROM will it remove this boot animation?
Looks great by the way! :good:
Just flashed the zip one... Amazing.. Really smooth
wow ,amazing
It's great! But, it's kinda blurry and doesn't completely fill the screen up. Can someone contact the author and ask him if he could update it for our phone?

Just open up the CM10.1 .zip, navigate to System>Media>bootanimation.zip and just pull the bootanimation.zip. Yes, if you reflash a ROM it'll reset the boot animation.
Great find! Looks great.
Sent from my fingers to your eyes.
thank you  nice work
Looks fine, big THX! :good:
flashed the zip. looks great besides it not fully fitting the screen. but it's still awesome! have it on my N4 and N7!
Awesome effects! Cool
Looks good with cm10.1 thanks

I've already sent him a message. He's working on it but it might take a couple of weeks since his motherboard is wrecked and it's gonna take some time for him to get it repaired. HD version for our phone is on the way rest assured!

I tired to fix it myself but it didn't work. It just blanks at boot.
I resized all images from 720x1280 to 768x1280 and change the text string '720 1280 ' to '768 1280' in desc.txt, but it didn't work
Can anybody guide on how to make it work? I thought just changing the resolution of the images would work. I let the fps be the same.

It would be more blurry since you're stretching the images. No point! Wait for a new release. It's been worked upon.

Send me a link
And I would also see if whoever made this doesn't mind if it wasn't you

Here you go - just rename it to 'bootanimation.zip' and set correct permissions.

Judging by his replies on the youtube video, it seems the original creator is quite open to people modifying the animation to suit other devices

I'm in the same situation as the OP but with a different boot animation instead.
I've attached the boot animation below and would appreciate it if someone could resize it to 800x1280.
Thanks in advance
