Hello fellow Galaxy Note users
Are any users willing to take some product samples for free??
I would like to give away 5 products to galaxy note users to see the benefits of the KEEEP! ring for themselves and hopefully put an unbiased review of the phone/tablet accessory here.
It is invaluable in its Ergonomics, of using the note in any orientation without fuss and being able to navigate your thumb to each corner of the screen without trouble one handed.
not to mention it keeps your slippery note Safe in your hand.
not to mention all the other benefits!
Anyway, heres how this is going to work, first 5 replies to this thread listing which name their phone and rom of choice wins simplesss
ONLY 1 per user and a post count above 10, are to be accepted.
The winners should share their thoughts and review the product on here for the benefit of other members.
The winners will have a choice of a BLACK or WHITE Keeep! ring.
THATS IT!
:good: for all you galaxy note enthusiasts!

THANK YOU
First of all, id like to THANK YOU, for trying out this product.
I feel you will find a use for it as many others have and to ENHANCE your mobile phone experience.
The product has been sent out to you, and i look forward to reading up on your thoughts on XDA and anywhere else you choose to post up a review.
Thanks again,
www keeep co uk
p.s. a little tip, try placing the keeep! in different positions on the back of your phone, dont be afraid to reapply it as it can be cleaned with water and re-used try it
i find just above the speaker is a good position for a right handed person, for the 2 middle fingers to go into as you naturally hold the phone.

I currently have the s2 and have been flashing this thing left and right I want my life back lol
So basically what I'm asking is what android smartphone is best out of the box I.e. stock rom and all because the GS2 is a beast only under custom ROM so what would be a good phone with a good UI AND ROM, I have my eyes on the htc one x or one x + and note / note 2 , nexus 4 , s3 , ... open to unlocking phones because I'm on Simple mobile if that helps...

If you want something simpler and less customization options. Then you need to decide what you need it for. Do you play a lot of games? If so then maybe an iphone is best for you. If not then maybe windows phone is a better option..
But if I were you I wouldn't give up yet because we are on the verge of getting jelly bean. It's a good time for the Hercules!

Are you talking about the official jelly bean like the stock ones we see on the s3 and note 2???!? Lol I don't play games and window phones are fugly lol but thanks

Best advice ever. I recommend lurking a bit here for a few days, maybe a week, to really learn as much as possible. It may seem daunting at first, but it is totally worth it. I'm a recovering flash addict myself, but we do have CM10 in the works and like you, I'm very excited! If you would like, PM me or something and I'll help intro you a bit to XDA.

It boots fine no issues right of the bat, it is extremely aosp and straight about it. No real customization options or anything, not even theme chooser lol. It's got the new kernel in it so don't expect it to be awesome on battery and what not. That is all I have to say about that.

u heard it right they have rolled out Jb Android 4.3 (JWR66V) for nexus 4 and other for nexus 7,10 etc
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
so as far samsung is concerned it will take atleast 3 months from now if we are lucky or maybe even end of this year but yes the good news is that samsung has confirmed the 4.3 update for note2 but have not commented anything on the release date yet
There are already many many threads for same subject and I think they will be adding up

How come nexus devices get updates 1st?

Because Nexus devices are devices that are made by Google's standards and android is developed for this devices by Google themselves. Then with the android source code (AOSP) manufacturers such as Samsung, HTC, Sony etc etc. are free to make their own rom for it, this is why it will always follow later, especially 'cause they have to make sure it is completely bugfree. Next to the big manufacturers we have ofcourse developers like CyanogenMod team and other good developers (i.e. from XDA!) who provide us from great roms too, and some even better than the stock samsung roms.

Will people stop talking about the s4 sales. They just posted they made over 6.6 billion which is up from last year.
So they didn't sell as many as they wanted. Well the s3 is still an awesome phone so why would everyone just to an s4

My cat has more intelligence than the people who keep starting these threads. How they scrape up the IQ to actually purchase a mobile phone in the first place amazes me.
Samsung is directly monitoring the Note II General forums, and they delay in a couple of weeks the launch every time someone starts a topic about it.
Thanks, OP. I hope Santa Claus remembers your deeds today.

i am building cm10.2 for n7100 and if it boots, i will upload it.
it is not touchwiz ofcourse (so it ain't crap) and is equivalent to cm10.1 with 4.3

"Crap" is relative. One could call CM10.x crap for the Note 2, as it doesn't have the S-Pen features, leaving the device rather crippled compared to TW.

No, TW compared to CM actually is crap. CM S Pen Add-on, Note Buddy and Papyrus and S Pen features (incl. Pulling in or out detection) work perfectly.
definitely by the time samsung releases official 4.3 there will be 4 to 5 more threads on the same topic for sure
By the time Sammy is almost ready to release 4.3, Key Lime Pie 5.0 will be out and they will then decide to skip 4.3 for Note II and go directly to 5.0.
I am having issues building cm.
I just know how to initiate a build , I don't know how to fix because I don't know any programming language.

Hi,
Some of you guys may remember, some of you may not, but soon after our Note 2 was released there was an avalanche of ROMs for Note 1 with features ported from Note 2, like for instance Airview in gallery and videos (Note 1 didn't have that) and multitasking. Some waited for an official ROM by Samsung, and when it eventually came, with la few months of delay, some of those features ported from Note 2 still weren't included.
What I'm saying here is, instead of waiting for that October release, ( http://youtu.be/VbsAslbUYx0?t=50m52s ) those that know how to port are invited to make cool ROMs that have these kind of features from Note 3 and maybe Samsung Galaxy S4 included. (who knows if Samsung is not going to delay the Note2 update again like it did with Note 1 having in view that Android 4.4 is expected to be launched on Oct 14 or maybe they'll surprise us and the October release will jump directly to KitKat )
Now I don't expect this to be easy, porting apps that were made for Android 4.3 and with FHD screen resolution in mind, but I'm just asking this if it's possible.
If you know such ROMs and I missed them, please post them in this thread. Thanks.
(So far these apps from Note 3 seem to work fine on Note 2: Bloomberg+, MagazineHome+Flipboard, SketchBook see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335530 )
