Does anyone have this case? - Galaxy S III Accessories

I am looking for a lightweight case for my Galaxy S III and I was wondering if anyone has this case. It is currently being sold in eBay for $8
If so, do you like it?

Yes,
I got mine from Amazon for $5
I like the frosted back with semi rigid sides.
I also like the fact there is no cut outs for the power and volume.
See my pic and link to Amazon here:

The exposed charging port and headphone jack don't concern you about that case?

Video Review: Incipio NGP case

Hi guys,
Got my hands on the NGP from Incipio, an awesome TPU case that offers good protection while keeping a slim form factor. It is comfortable, lightweight and cutouts on the case are spot-on. Watch the video review for all info.
Anyone know how it compares to SGP's ultra-capsule?

Yup, I've been sent the Ultra Capsule for review as well, the Ultra Capsule is a lot more flexible but the buttons are WONDERFULLY easy to press. The Ultra Capsule is glossy whereas the NGP has a soft touch backing, I like it better since it provides better grip.
Cutouts are a little better on the Ultra Capsule but overall both cases are great.
Another good video, thank you

Apologies, my version does not have it so I forgot about it - but you are right, this is made specifically for the i9100 version.

Are buttons really hard to press?
I'm looking for such case... it seems to be parfect except this one little issue...
Its harder and lacks feedback but it means u dont accidentally change volume which is what i do when i dont use a case
The micro usb cut out is a little small but the oem cable and charger fit fine
However my blackberry micro usb cable cant fit in fully

Thanks for the vid. I bought the magenta one. Can't wait to receive it. Looks like it offers good protection and still manages to maintain a thin profile. A Win-Win case for me.
I like the Neo Hybrid too but wasn't too thrilled about the antenna cutout.
Just picked one up recently after purchasing a Casemate Barely There the day prior. Of the 50+ stores in my million + city NONE had them in stock. That is until I found the 51st retailer. FWIW I like the Barely There as well.
Overall a very good case. Same price point as the SGP Neo Hybrid, similar dimensions, etc... but higher quality. It's replacing a Neo Hybrid which suffered from the sag on the back side of the phone; I ran double side tape for a while, which worked, but then it pissed me off that I had to run double sided tape.
As much as I liked the Neo Hybrid initially, it wasn't worth the price IMO considering its construction, and sag issue. At the end of the day it costed more than the Incipio after factoring in shipping, etc... and it's not nearly as good. $25-30 isn't going to break the bank, but that's not the point.
Both: look good, are "economical", are slender, lightweight, and offer some protection.
The Neo Hybrid: would be a better case if it were priced at $15 and the rubber didn't sag after many heat cycles.
The Incipio: worth the cost, and much higher quality materials and build quality.
Caveat: This post will be updated if I experience any issues with the Incipio.
And yes, the power button is hard to press. I hold my phone with my left hand, and it takes much more force to press the power button with my index finger if I'm in one hand mode. Not as much of an issue for you right handers since you can use your thumb.
Curious if anyone has done "surgery" to the power button with a sharp knife? I'm thinking of making a small incision on either side to lighten up the action a bit.
Edit: micro USB port is "tight"; takes a little bit more force to attach the cable to the phone. It doesn't appear to alter the angle the micro USB enters the port however, so I doubt it will lead to charging port damage. Will see if it wears the case to accommodate itself before I break out the knife.
Can the power button be modified? Perhaps stick something inside the case to make the button more responsive?
Another question - has anyone tried the case with the Samsung 2000mah high capacity battery? It looks to me like the case would fit, but given how snug it is it may not.

Case mate pop case review

Hello, I have been searching for a while for the best case and purchased several cases, and I think for me, the pop case is the best of all. (I have some TPU cases from amazon, case mate tough case, and pop case ( I wanted to try the otterbox, but after using the pop case I am going to just use this case)
Picture qualities are pretty bad, but it gives pretty good idea how it looks life overall. I have a white one, and it really makes my Gnex much more fancy and its really rugged with dual protection, so no worries about dropping the phone. All the buttons works perfectly all ports are working great as well.
Does it add much bulk? I'm looking to get it.

Does the USB cable that comes stock still fit with this case on? Reviews on Amazon say it doesn't.
also interested if the usb cable fits.
thanks

Yes the USB cable which came with "GSM unlocked galaxy nexus (which I have) does not fit but I have a OEM cable which came with verizon galaxy nexus which fits perfectly...(never used the cable that came with this..) so I never really knew untill now lol well if you have any other cable it fits well
I wonder if it works with the exttended battery?? Looks good
Yes it does fit very well with the extended battery. USB charger is not an issue if you have one that fits. Looks like Casemate removed the Pop and Tough case from their website. Could it be because they are looking into these issues?

Dang right when we get confirmation that it fits with the extended battery they take it off the website? DOH!
Pictures with the extended battery LTE?
Please and thank you
sorry mine is GSM and have no extended battery.
You can find them on eBay in Black, White and Pink. $28 and free shipping. Just search "galaxy case-mate pop!". I ordered the Black but it hasn't arrived.
My Case Mate Pop case is arriving today as well, if you are looking to buy it for $16! check this company out shipping is dirt cheap as well from them. http://www.thecellguru.com/Phones/Samsung/Galaxy_Nexus/Cases
I got the black one, great fit, great protection, great case. Bit of a bugger to get off in a rush though !
How is it pressing the power button and the volume rocker is it easy or do you really have to press it in to get the effect?
Easy peasy to press power and / or volume buttons. I sent back a case mate tough as I couldn't activate the buttons freely enough, the case mate pop is much much better, just a bit of a pain to get off
I just got my white pop case today. I am using it with the extended battery on the verizon cdma version. The case is amazing! Great protection, doesn't add much bulk, buttons work great, fits perfect with the extended battery, adds extra grippyness. Highly recommend. I got mine on ebay as well.
I can verify that the STOCK cable for the VERIZON GNEX does NOT fit the port in the case. I got the black/grey case today from my local Verizon store for $19.99.
My old HTC cable from my EVO 3d does fit though.

jeez the Pop case winds up covering one of the mics? that's kind of a downer... wish I came here prior to purchasing the case on Amazon especially since it's supposedly arriving today.
Is there a hole for the camera microphone? Seems like the Barely There and Tough case has a hole for it, but not the Pop! case.

Question about tpu cases.

I am looking for a new case and am trying to find a tpu case that also covers the volume rocker and power button. Its a pet peeve of mine i hate those being exposed on cases but haven't found any on ebay or amazon. I have an otterbox case now but wanna go thinner. Thanks in advance.

Try the Cruzerlite cases. They cover the volume rocker and power button.
try the new casemate pop with the right cut outs adds a little bulk but less then the otterbox but gives great protection
I've seen many cheap and nasty one that covers all the buttons.
Try ebay.

This confused me as well and after searching and realizing they don't exist I still went with cruiser lite. Should be in soon seems solid I hope the exposure doesn't bug me too much.
I have a cruzer lite case that I got with the bag o' cases and one of them covers everything. But I think is only for the gsm GNex it barely won't fit my vzw GNex.

I bought an sgp ultra capsule and it covers everything I'm in the same boat as you I wanted tpu but hate uncovered buttons. Its a good case uber thin and the buttons feel great.

Revision 2 of the Diztronic TPU cases didn't have a volume cut out. They've been selling Rev 3 for a while now but if you emailed them asking to buy a Rev 2 case they would probably sell you one (or maybe even send you one for free). They had great customer service when I had to contact them.
I just bought the SGP Ultra Capsule case. It's TPU and it covers volume and power buttons but it also covers the 3 pin dock connector if that's a problem with you. It's very good quality and shows the contour and shape of the actual phone.

I recommend Nillkin TPU cases. It covers all the buttons and they're really high quality. $10-$12 on eBay.

I never understood why they preffer to leave the 3 pin dock connector uncovered. I don't even know what that's for... I never saw a dock for it, lol.

@OP
I have a TPU case that covers the volume rocker and the power button. It has cut outs for the 3 pin dock connector, the microUSB port, the primary AND secondary microphone, and 3.5mm jack. It's mostly known as S-LINE, but lately I found it as being made by CUBZ (or at least so it was advertised). It has kind of an S line on the back. The side edges are also rubbery which makes it feel good in the hand, and less prone to accidental drops.
I had this kind of case on my previous HTC EVO 3D, and it was awesome. It fitted better than the MOMAX (because the MOMAX one didn't have a cut out for the camera button, hence making that pretty much useless, + weakened the right side).
I also had this model on my Galaxy S2, and given the construction and shape of that phone, it was freaking awesome! Barely could take it off!!!!!
I had a black one on my Galaxy Nexus, but it was... I dunno if Google translated this right... sprawling? Mostly due to the way it was stored - the sides were somewhat off...
I have a white one now, which is pretty much rigid. In one month, it got off-white, haha. Yellows, grays, blues... it's still white, but not really white, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I'm gonna buy a new one, BLACK, and try to find one that hasn't been stored under a rock or something .
These S-Line cases seem to be the best, if you ask me. And for that price... I mean... you can't ask for more, really. I even saw them on eBay (for other phones, not necessarily this model), for some pretty darn good prices.
-----
Otherwise, if you have money to spend, buy a Otterbox Commuter. That's the best case ever, if you ask me. It's not THAT hefty, but it's very well built, and rigid, too.

HTC One case with dust port covers

Im looking for a slimline case for the one that includes covers for the headphone jack and charger port. It seems the bulkier cases like otter box defender come with covers but trying to find a more slimmed down case that has them.....

Get the Otterbox Commuter. It has covers for both ports, is a lot slimmer than the Defender and also keeps the shape of the One plus it still offers great protection. It also comes with a separate screen protector. I usually only get Defenders with my phones but I am loving this Commuter. It protects without taking away all of the beauty of the One.

I have ordered a green one , 15-30 days to deliver

Never did even think of that till I seen this thread, and after seeing the Ebay ad (and price) I couldn't help but buying a set myself as my own case doesn't have dust port covers............HD
I did that for my HTC ONE M7 and i kept loosing the charging port cover, and eventually lost it, it`s better to have it attached to the case.

I agree 100% but the way I carry my phone in my pocket I'm more concerned about the earphone port cover as its located at the top of the phone and I rarely if ever use earphones to begin with, I highly doubt I'd even use the charging port cover.

dbrand Grip Review

Hey everyone, gave the dbrand Grip a little unboxing and review. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
Video Review
That's an unboxing video, not a review. Also, the jumper is to bypass the mic connector to attach a "regular" headset without risk of shorting the mic.

Got mine on Saturday. Put it on and immediately took it off. It's big and bulky compared to my RhinoShield, and pretty damn ugly too.
Already have mine up for sale on ebay
I really like the case. It offers much better grip than the rhinoshield, which I found to be way too slippery. It doesn't add much more bulk than the rhinoshield and I believe it offers better protection as well.

Let's go with initial impressions review if you'd like, as I do a bit more than just taking the case out of the box
Also, professional audio engineer here; no. The jumper is literally just a 4 wire passive extender. There is no special 3 pin TRS ("regular") to 4 pin TRRS circuitry or summing of signals to bypass the mic connector or short the mic.
Research before posting fake news.

I don't know about the DBRAND's... but the Rhinoshield transformed my Pixel 2 + case experience, in melted butter. It was back in the box 3 hours later. I haven't even tried to return it and waste more money returning the item.
I'm not a fan of bumper case at all. But it looks kinda dope ( to me at least ). I hear it's gonna be around $60 when dbrand release it. ??

I know right?! I have yet to receive an email about shipping. Ordered this thing in frigging November.
Been using this almost a month. Really like the way the phone shows off the back. I'm using a Note 8. So with this case, my phone just became much larger... And the "grip" is very grippy, to the point that when I want to slip the phone into my pocket, it is not easy to do that. The grip is actually gripping onto my pants pocket! Same thing coming out of the pocket. Because of this, I will only rate it as 3.8/5 stars. It's awesome as a protective case though, dropped it once on a flat surface, my phone survived. Just that it's a bit too grippy
