Hello all I am new to rooting I absolutely love my phone but ive rooted it and am using Gummy toro ROM and Franco kernel just updated nightly to 194.
My Wifi sometimes doesn't work, when I reboot most of my apps either disappear or there something wrong w/ them and sometimes my phone completely freezes to the point where I have to pull battery.
Any tips hints and suggestions would be great thank you!

I wiped my battery stats and turned the phone off, charged to 100%. Then I let it die, I charged it again at work and when I turned it on the screen was too dark to see. It almost looked like a negative version of it. I rebooted a few times and the Google image was fine and the boot image was fine. It ways just the screen. Anyone know what could have done this?

I have a GSM Galaxy nexus on AOKP JB stable. Every time i try to open google now, it says that location services are disabled. I turned them off and back on (like everyone seems to say) and that doesnt fix it. Ive tried restarting tuning all location settings off, then back on ...etc, and that doesnt change a thing. I dont have FCs or any other symtoms (i did a clean intall).
Please help

Hi all,
Since flashing 4.1.2 (after a complete wipe) my data connection sometimes doesn't connect after disconnecting from wifi.
I see the "H" icon but the bars stay gray and the connection is down.
The only way to fix this once it happens is to reboot, which is quite annoying...
I've had this problem before on 4.0 but it eventually went away.
I tried both the default xxlf radio and uglh.
EDIT: I should mention I'm running stock and rooted.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I have the exact same problem.
Appeared with 4.0.4 , solved with 4.1, but broken again with 4.1.2
rebooting solves nothing, nor airplane mode.
I have to delete and reset my APN's
I'm not rooted
Me too...

If I turn on then off airplane mode, I get back carrier data.

Same here. Only way to fix it is through a reboot. Airplane mode trick doesn't work for me at all. Seems to happen much more often when I switch from H back to E when I'm done browsing on work breaks.
Same think for me, reboot to resolve.
I'm on slimbeam 2.8 and Trinity S63, but same problem on CNA ...
Nice to see I'm not the only one...
I'll open a bug report tonight (assuming there isn't one already)

Mine only seems to do it if I constantly go back and forth between HSPA and EDGE(like I stated before). Kinda sucks. lol. Wonder what happened that could've caused this.
Stock, Rooted, Unlocked bootloader
This happens to me almost every single time. I find that turning off LTE then turning it back on seems to work.
EDIT:
Also is it only me, or does JB take over 2 minutes to boot up? Long story short I used OTA Rootkeeper to keep root, I installed the update.zip in CWM and it installed. CWM didn't have to be reinstalled and my Bootloader stayed unlocked. When I installed the OTA update.zip though I didn't clear cache or do a wipe, I just installed it, could that be leading to my O.S. issues?

I get terrible signal pretty much everywhere. I have a case on my phone, but i doubt that is the problem. Stock everything

I've noticed dropping reception. And weaker signal.. paranoid android 2.51 with trinity latest stable
Hey guys, I'm currently on rasbeanjelly with trinity kernel. Whenever I connect to my WiFi, it connects, but when loading anything it just hangs. Sometimes it would load for a little bit then it hangs again. Really annoying. I was on mincov7 before this, hoping that it was a ROM issue but the problem carried over to rasbeanjelly. Could it be a hardware issue? Anyone else experiencing this?? Help is appreciated!!

If you had same problem on both custom ROMs maybe you should try flash google factory image (stock) to see if problem still persist. If so, then it's a hardware fault

Yea this happens to me as well sometimes on stock android.
It seems it maybe possible that it could be a software glitch.........
The past week I have been away from WiFi and noticed that my phone will disconnect from the network and not reconnect. It seems to happen randomly. I am on the latest xenon HD for toro plus.
If I flash a different kernel would it help fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated

Look at kmsg/dmesg and logcat to try and see whats happening, forward those logs to your ROM dev. Try to give something back.
I don't have access to a computer to do a log cat. Why I'm asking because I can down load stuff from WiFi to fix it.

You are rooted... At least you can get kmsg.
At the very least, you need to work on the description of your issue - "I have been away from WiFi" doesn't tell me anything.
So, what are you having issues with? Mobile network stability?
Check your bootloader/radio, RIL/baseband combos (you should be on whatever latest bootloader version there is, RIL/baseband must match)
Does the kernel you use alter stock voltages? Make sure SR (smart reflex) is active and try again. If SR is already on, try to disable it, and work on the voltages yourself, although I'm not sure you will be able to troubleshoot all this with your current knowledge (estimated from the way you opened this thread). This is the only way kernel may be afecting anything here.
RIL/baseband are kernel independent.
It's not good principle if something's broken/not working already, to start flashing more stuff on top of it - look around you: does anyone on that ROM thread experiences the same issue recently, or is it just you?
