Gleam is an Android Improvement Project which aims at improving the Android User Interface (UI).
The project is a combination of various UI fixes combined into one flashable zip.

I know it works. He said nice trolling, because the recovery said UI theming unsuccessful...so I said flash the gradient fix if you like trolling, because in recovery when flashing the gradient fix, it says your phone is bricked.

Install Process
Prerequisites:
1. CWM Touch
2.You must be using the latest ICS radio. (T989UVLC8)
3. Clean Install for first Install

1. Backup Current Rom
2. Make Sure You've Read the Requirements
3. Either Format Storage, Cache, Dalvik, and Data or flash Superwipe
4. Install the zip
5. Reboot to system
6. Go to settings - system - adjust font size

OK it looks like a honeycomb tablet. So basically it's designed to run your phone in landscape mode then. I'm guessing in portrait all would look wrong based on the screenshots.

I still had sound incall just keep gps on when you want to reboot just like you would on cm7 but u can turn it off after reboot is complete

this should go in the OP because even I didnt have any in call audio and thought it was a bug which hasnt been fixed yet! but since this is a workaround for the audio bug..it should be in the op

Honestly, This works on just about every rom. This should be something that people try before anything.
starskyrob - thanks for this! if CM9 was a bit more stable, I would jump all over this.

Though some Texts (e.G. in Titanium Backup) are unreadable this is the most awesome Theme ever!

1. Factory Data reset

As I do not have this device, I did send it out to testers and pretty sure all the kinks are worked out. If there are any I missed please be kind and respectful when reporting. Please dont report wether you dont like this rom and are going to another. This is not a competition, all roms are great in their own way..
Okay. Know issues.
*Random reboots. Temp fix is to bump min CPU up one step to 432
needs to be reset every boot. Set on boot not consistent.
* if a random reboot happens while on call.
You lose phone audio. Simply reflash build with out factory data reset will bring it back.
*MMS quick reply setting. If you use setting to wake and unlock when a message is received get a reply quickly. Screen will time out back to lock screen soon.
*Camera. Panoramic mode crashes. Don't use it.
*Aspire some times it seems widgets dissapear from the home screens. Unpredictable. Just replace them when you realize they won't return on their own.
Do Not Complain About these things or post about them. We know these things. If you do feel it necessary to post on these issues please also include a perm fix along with it.
Finding issues not listed here PLEASE include steps to recreate the problem, and a log cat if available.
Please do not post "music won't play"
This helps no one and pisses me off. Savvy?

I Love orange its the national colour of the netherlands. Are all languages included?

Its hard coded color.
Blue is high charge
green is middle charge
Orange/red is low charge
One of the future mods will be the ability to user set those colors.

I went to MIUI hoping for something like this but every theme I tried didn't work properly on the Galaxy Nexus. Figured if no-one else was going to do it I would. Its just soooo time consuming. Not helped because I'm not particularly talented - just persistent and determined to get as much pixel perfect as possible.
I have noticed a few minor visual issues where other apps use part system resources and part of their own (therefore thinking they are gonna get a white background and so have a black icon, and then get white). This is mostly google apps, which I am planning on adding to a later release assuming the community wants me to continue.
Just wish there was a way to monetize this to make it more viable to spend the time to get everything just perfect.

This is for MIUI only at the moment. You download the zip, change the extension to .mtz and copy into the Theme folder. And bingo, MIUI does the rest.
It probably is possible for me to create a flashable zip to just change the appropriate resources but I haven't really looked into it yet. Focus is on getting the MIUI theming sorted. Not all things will work obviously as stock Android doesn't have notification toggles etc.

Pleased you liked in. Have posted a minor update to sort out some of the toast popups, copy paste dialogue etc.
Have been struggling to try and find a way to fix the white on white on the gmail settings - no solution as yet though. Looks to be that the background is hard coded. Will try and find something to sort that one out.

It looks great but I'm unable to have it recognized in themes. I've been on miui for years and renaming it didn't work, running sgs3 miui v4...

Very odd. That's the first I've heard of that issue. Changed the extension from .zip to .mtz and copied to Themes folder right? Perhaps force close Themes and see if it appears when it re-opens.

FINALLY!!!!!! THIS IS AWSOME !! NO MORE ORANGE!!! DDD One thing, do you think you will design your own softkeys? Just my opinion, they dont really look right (current ones) Still, best theme out there for GNEX D

I might do eventually. Priority is getting the core apps sorted. Then the most commonly used ones in for XHDPI (G Nex). Then consider icons, wallpaper, lock screen, screen keys etc.
Stuck on gmail settings at the moment.
Any idea what type of thing you think would work well for screen keys?

Superb theme. One thing on messages and Facebook for example the backgrounds white also so I got to hope my testing skills are great and predictive doesn't mess up. Any workaround because the theme is great

I usually don't want to emulate the iphone but this is a clean and sweet theme. i was getting bored of my previous themes.

Great job man. Looks beautiful and doesn't slow the device down! I will recommend it for everybody that likes iphone UI and appreciates android freedom

Do you realize how inappropriate it sounds?
Cos it's xda-developers.com that promotes development and variation? If you don't like the theme then don't flash it. It's not mandatory. It's not my favorite graphical theme either but I do appreciate OP's piece of work and I respect the fact that there are people that actually find this theme nice and have right to enjoy it without explaining anybody "why".

i always get the error, that i can't apply this theme, but i don't have the option to apply it anyway.
any idea what i have to do?

Appearantly some people like it,who are you to judge? Its not like you are changing your nexus to an iPhone.
Android is about possibilities and that includes the possibility to make it look like an iPhone.
