I find myself annoyed that the game hub wasn't included in the sprint version. I got my hands on the apk and it installs but it force closes when you try to run it. Is there a programmer willing to see if they can get it running? Please!!! :-D

Not seen this mentioned, probably because the US ones have it as stock.
As Play music isn't available over here, Google have frozen the app out on UK N7s. If you've got Titanium backup installed, just defrost "Sound Search For Google Play 1.0.1" and it will now appear in your widget list.
Obviously it can only be used for song identification, if you click the widget after it has identified a song it will just open a Chrome page letting you know that Play Music isn't available in your country.
It works extremely well, just as you'd expect from a Google search product

Just a note, the OS refreezes it when you restart the device which buggers up the widget. You just need to defrost it again and put the widget back on the homescreen

I've discovered it yesterday, along with Google Wallet, Books, Magazines and Video... All of these were frozen in my device.
Great stuff.
If your in the UK. Use a free us proxy server to sign into play music once. And you will have play music from then on

Whenever I use sound search it crashes and becomes hidden again

I used Spotflux to get onto Play Music on my PC (Lets you download Play Music uploader and use your 20,000 song allowance) but it still won't enable you to buy music from this widget.
Was curious if anyone updated to this and if it removes local search
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I updated and "phone search" is still there.. Unless you mean local as in area?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Mine still works

The only real difference I have noticed so far is the Yankees score shows up in Google Now. That was the one thing I was missing.

Local search is still there. It also has the option to show movie times and local alerts(Amber alerts, weather etc).

You can also now manually add sports teams, which is a nice feature. No college football, though, so that's a bummer.
what is the latest version you guys see in the play store? I think this is a country specific update... :| Could anyone share the apk if possible?
My Note II did not come with Music Hub. How can I get it ?
Depends it only works for selected countries... if you find a way too install it manually it won't work it'll give you a pop up note "this feature isn't available in country yet"
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium HD app

I just tried to pull it up from my unrooted/unmodified galaxy tab 2 (ics 404), and it too says unsupported.

Find the apk. It should work fine. Find it on a site like apk top. Or use a device that gets it and find an 'app to apk' app.
Bluetooth or usb transfer it. Or sd card swap.
Profit. .
Sent from my GN2 using the xda app.
I have been trying to find the apk, every link that i find just directs me back to the play store or some other sort of apk downloader but NEVER the actual apk.
i Tranfsformer Prime at home that i am going to see if will download and pull the apk from my tablet. but i thought for sure there would be an apk on the web that we could just download and install through package installer.
if anyone finds one please post it here when you have time
thanks in advance for anyone that posted and helped.
I did find the VuDu apk and sideloaded loaded it on my GN2.
It will not play videos. Video window opens with "Failed to find a playable version for this content!"
I understand that the VuDu apk will play videos on Android tablets. Hmmmmm...........
UPDATE
Bad file. Found the right one. VuDu working on GN2

I'll check on mine. But you can always just use the Web browser. That's what I've done before.
