Htc one x loops. Please help!!!!! - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hello,
I have succesfully rooted my phone and installed Android Revolution HD 6.x
After I saw that 7.0 was released I installed total wipe (the zip file) and the new rom zip file to my sd card.
I installed the total wipe and then the rom and now it loops.
I have tried everything the forum has told me, but no result.
Flashing won't help. It does not regonize the phone. I tried everything on the forum.
Is there anyone out there that can help me with this problem. I am not a total nubb so don't be gentle with the words/ solutions..........
Please help me!!!
Kind regards
Casper

did you post in this place ?
I insist to post there it's impossible not to get help here this is a Big Brother phone:cyclops:
loops at what level when starting at splashscreen or later when running bootanimation (just before to enter Android interface)
loops usually happen just because this is not a clean flashing
unfortunately you have work to do: try to describe in details how you made that upgrade
have you used CWM-clockworkmod recovery ?
what do you mean by " not recognize the phone" ? have you tried to reinstall ADB drivers ?

if by looping you mean looping at the boot animation, you have to erase the cache with fastboot... and fyi i DID find the answer here at xda...

Try to reflash the ROM and use the superwipe script:
1 flash boot.img from you pc and fastboot erase cache.
2.flash the superwipe script
3.flash ROM and GAPPS
4.reboot
You can find the superwipe script here https://www.dropbox.com/s/0y31poo1kiaif4y/Super wipe script.zip

Take the ROM you've downloaded and extract the boot.img you find inside the rom's zip file;
I suppose you know how to use fastboot commands and so, connect your phone to pc in fastboot mode;
Do the following:
1. fastboot flash boot boot.img (boot.img is your kernel's name, it could be different so pay attention)
2. fastboot erase cache
3. reboot to recovery and flash the superwipe script i mentioned before
4. flash rom and gapps (obviously you have to put superwipe script, rom and gapps into your sd card)
5. reboot
You should be able to boot without problems
I may have forgot something so please read carefully the thread in wich you downloaded your rom!

[Q] Android Revolution HD error while restarting

Hi all,
I have problem with Android Revolution HD by mike1986 ROM. Everything working well expect restarting. If I restarted, phone didnt start rom but only clockworkmod and only one way how to correctly start phone is connect via cable to computer and over fastboot boot boot.img push boot.img into phone.. And second issue - in clockworkomod I cant make backup - everytime it ends with error message..
Any idea how to fix it? Thanks
I have this exact problem too. I'm ENG S-OFF and ARHD 9.2 installer is fine until the very last step when it goes "assert failed" and something about extracting the boot.img to /tmp/boot.img.
I tried going about it the same way I read before with CyanogenMod where I'd manually flash the boot.img in fastboot to make sure it was flashed properly or I'd just get bootloop into recovery, but it's a no-go. It flashes fine, of course, but it doesn't help one bit. I'll be damned if I'm giving up and moving to CyanogenMod again after going through all the guides and reading page up and page down of things that basically didn't help me.
Does anyone have a solution or an idea why ARHD 9.2 fails when extracting the boot.img to /tmp?
EDIT: Same issue with ARHD 7.3 btw.
EDIT2: I gave up and went to CyanogenMod 10.2. Worked the first time...
did you already tried using another custom recovery..like 4ext or TWRP..?

Hi, I have same problem, I tryed install 2 custom rom, but device started only to ClockworkMod Recovery ...
I tryed hard reset - wipe all data, not help
just tried installing TWRP recovery..look in here..
I've been using TWRP2 all along. It works very well on my HTC One and Nexus 7 both. I gave it another try today, but it's still a no-go. I think I've tried most every combination of things now. No matter. I'm giving the nightly CM11 a try now. :fingers-crossed:
Aha! Turns out I had a faulty SD-card. I could write to it and all, but I couldn't delete any files off it. No format worked. Nothing. It couldn't readily be identified, but at least I found the cause and now it's working perfectly. Smooth and fast. Very, very nice. :good: I'm a happy camper.

help please ;) stuck on HTC boot screen

hi guys,
I knew I shouldn't have done this...have enough to do already without creating problems for myself !
So, all I did was flash TWRP which worked fine, then copied over UPDATE-SuperUS.zip and installed zip from TWRP then fastboot erase cache . Now I'm stuck on the boot screen...
is there a way to fix this ? I can still get into recovery and fastboot fine...just can't boot the OS.
I'm on UK Vodafone and had the marshmallow update recently. Hoping it's just a matter of flashing the stock ROM but I don't have it....
any help much appreciated..
Thanks,
Ant.
phew
flashing revolution HD brought it back to life....just gotta spend the rest of the evening reconfiguring now ;-(

Marshmallow requires SuperSU 2.65 or later. Using an older SuperSU version is the most common reason for stuck on boot screen after trying to root.
thanks mate, that will have been it...had 2.37. Revolution solved it (and SU) so happy...other than the fact I can't do an ln -s to link from sdrcard/show_box to push downloads to the external sd card. Says function not implemented...any ideas/work arounds ?

Urgent! Stuck on twrp after flash no matter what ROM

I need my mobile working in a few hours I do not know how to fix it. Any time I try to flash any ROM (doing the wipes and following all the instructions) the ROM apparently gets installed but when I reboot, there is not operative system and I got stuck on TWRP (twrp-3.2.1-0-rio.img). I was on Android 6 (why I need this version if before install the ROM I have to wipe everthying?).
Could you help me? I'm just a little on edge.

Hey,
Hope you got your device back online. It's a pretty easy fix.
Flash TWRP recovery and follow my guide, which will be up in a few hours! can be found at https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8-pro/how-to/unbrick-device-revert-to-stock-complete-t3802298
Follow this guide
There is a thread in xda describing same thing but in this website each steps are written clearly.
Here is the link-
