Sent from my HTC Desire

Thx for reply,so I find this:
[4]RUU PROBLEMS
"I tried using a RUU, but it failed, and now my phone is stuck on a black HTC Screen with /!\ In every corner!"
Possible Causes:
- You were S-OFF and you flashed a custom bootloader from alpharev
- You didn't check the MD5 Sums before proceeding, and the download may have been corrupted.
- You tried using the wrong RUU
Fixing your problem
Your phone is stuck in RUU mode. RUU mode is like fastboot mode, and can still receive fastboot commands, therefore it can be easily "fixed". It helps to have a goldcard for this problem, so that you can use any RUU you want.
S-OFF
[STEP1]- download "Bravo Stock" from Alpharev
[STEP2]- download Android Flasher
[STEP3]- use android flasher to flash "Bravo Stock"
[STEP4]- run the RUU again and wait for it to finish
S-ON
If you're S-ON it eliminates the possibility of you having a custom bootloader, and the only possibility now is that the RUU was corrupted or you used the wrong RUU for your device. Therefore, for this process you need a goldcard.
[STEP1]- Create the goldcard from the tutorial
[STEP1]- Use the WWE RUU
NOTE: If you are restoring for warranty purposes, unless you bought an unbranded phone, using the WWE RUU will VOID YOUR WARRANTY, and you should use the 2.3.3 RUU (link available from #resources)
Im really beginner ,I dont know how can I do it..Im S-OFF..They say I need to download bravo stock from http://alpharev.nl/ But there are 2 bravo stock:
bravo_alphaspl.img and PB99IMG_stock which should I download and how can I flash it? I cant turn on my desire and I cant turn it with power+vol.down.. what can i do now?

pull the battery out and put back in, hold volume down then hold power, tell me what happens
Sent from my HTC Desire

As I said in the title and there is same,
"I tried using a RUU, but it failed, and now my phone is stuck on a black HTC Screen with triangle In every corner!"

yes i know but in first post u said power and vol down. just thought u did it wrong. did u try hold back button and hold power? that takes u to fastboot and u can get to hboot from there. u need to get to the hboot menu for the PB99IMG to work
Sent from my HTC Desire

Its the same:-/ Always black HTC Screen with triangle In every corner..I think its totally bricked...

hmm u need fastboot for android flasher to work
Sent from my HTC Desire

Ok, I understand, but I cant get to fastboot :-/ Is there any other way to get there?

lol i dont mean to sound cheeky but when u press volume down then power do u hold them down for bout 4 r 5 seconds? i only ask coz its strange that u cant get to hboot and ur s-off
Sent from my HTC Desire

I said Im beginner and noob, but not idiot Sure, when I try to press anything, always is the same..this guy got same problem...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1256720
I want to try this,but I dont understand :
turn it off, plug it in via usb, hold back and power
if you know where your fastboot.exe is then cd into the path in cmd.
if you don't then unzip my attachment and put it in your c:\ and type these commands
Code:
cd\
fastboot devices
if it gives back a serial then it is not bricked and you can flash a RUU

ok download the file and unzip it, click my computer and drop the file into C: then follow the other instructions
Sent from my HTC Desire

Exactly this I understand :
"ok download the file and unzip it, click my computer and drop the file into C: then follow the other instructions"
But I dont understand to this: if you don't then unzip my attachment and put it in your c:\ and type these commands
Code:
cd\
fastboot devices
if it gives back a serial then it is not bricked and you can flash a RUU
What commands? where should I do it??

click my computer then C: drive find the fastboot file u put there then open it, then in a empty space in the file hold shift then right click and u should see "open command window here" click that to open cmd window then type in those commands that bortak said
Sent from my HTC Desire

Yup. Okay so you're good. Did you get the phone on contract? e.g. You pay monthly to Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange etc.? Or did you buy it from a shop and it's unbranded?

The latest Hboot version is 6.93.. if that is your Hboot .. it difficult to get back but you can try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=10919215&postcount=5
But if your Hboot is.. 0.93 than you can download below file.. rename it as only PB99IMG.ZIP and put it into root of you sd card.. and switch your phone by pressing volume down and power.. it will automatic detec the file and flash it..
IMPORTANT this will required a goldcard.. but your can try first without making one..
it might get your USB working

yes HBOOT ver is same as i mentioned.
ADB is not detecting my device as posted on your given link that i have to ADB but ADB is not detecting my device even though PC device manager shows Android phone.
When you are in fastboot.. that is volum down and power... update your driver with below
http://unrevoked.com/rootwiki/doku.php/public/windows_hboot_driver_install
and check adb
just installed drivers as per given instruction device manager shows Android ADB interface but again ADB shows error: device not found.
Download this

And than flash from this... I think you did not had USB debugging on .. when your phone was working... that could be the reason..
can you try this command ... fastboot devices

yehs.. you need to create a goldcard...
Please check your ADB now.. is it is working ..creating a goldcard is easy
just go to
http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/10/how-to-create-a-goldcard/
ADB is still not detecting my device.when i have no other phone then how can i make gold card as gold card can only make through phone.
yehs you can... one of the easiest way is.. if you have any one around having android phone.. just put your memorycard in that phone.. and in market search for an app called goldcard helper..it will give you your reverse CID..
If you dont have that .. than also there is a way.. but it will take time and you need to do lots of thing..
what you can do is.. if you are using windows pc.. than you can install... virtual machine.. and install linux in it.. so when you open linux.. you can get your memory card cid from there.. i dont knw the exact steps.. but you can easly find on Google.. ...
Once you got CID.. you can follow the above goldcard guide.. from step 7..
On a other note.. remove memorycard from your mobile.. and than flash the RUU .. see what happer.. you may never know
i think you should try to make ADB work.. thought when I bricked my mobile .. i was not able to use ADB.. so I use my friend mobile to get CID... I dont knw if this tool will work witout ADB.. but try this too
http://android.modaco.com/content/software/308798/pc-application-goldcardtool/
Set veriables also
Right click My computer > Properties > Advanced > Environment Variables
under system variables click "path" and click "edit"
at the end of the line add a sem semi colon ";" and without a space put C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools - It should look like ;C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools then click ok.
Just let us know.. the results

no it's not working.already tried.check attached image.
now working on through linux.just downloaded vmware image of linux.lets hope for the good.i will post linux experience.
Ya i hope you will be able to get it from linux...
as when you will connect your memorycard in linux.. you can directly acces the sector zero where CID store.. so Inshallah.. it will work
Dont want to dissapoint you but read this
You can if you have Linux. You need a Laptop card reader slot and Linux. Once in Linux, navigate to a folder like /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid
I havent tested it out in a LiveCD. Check it out and tell me.
Programmers have tried writing applications to interface the sdcard in USB mode to get its CID number, but it needs a PCI slot or device-a phone-Either Android/Windows Mobile. A PC application may be specifically written for a PCI based card reader to read the CID, but such an application would be hardware specific for the particular brand of PCI card reader. You cant use it unless you are a programmer and know to do that. As far as I know there are currently no Windows programs that do that.
To clarify, Once again,
The only thing you need from your memory card to create a goldcard, is its unique CID number (which is inserted by the manufacturer of the card)
The CID is unique to a memory card. It is not specific to the device
You can get the CID of the sdcard from:
Any Android phone which can connect and use the adb command.
A Linux operating system running on a Notebook with PCI slot which can read a memory card. Note: YOU CANNOT GET CID FROM LINUX FROM A USB CARD READER of a PC/Laptop. You need the PCI card slot.
You can even get the CID from a Garmin proprietory OS or a Windows mobile based phone. There are utilities available online using these, which can be seen in a Google search.
Do not try to get CID from any PC via USB cable. It can display a CID code but not the correct one. It is said that "USB lies about the CID".
goldcard created can u please tell me that what should i do now with this goldcard?
issue has been resolved by creating gold card and stock ruu.thanks for the support (jhonybravo4u)

I`m stuck on the alpharev sense hboot version and the error i get while flashing the RUU is when flashing the system partition which in this case is smaller then the stock one, i suspect this is why after typing fastboot oem in cmd my phone only boots the htc logo (green letters and white background)
Please help
I solved my problem just by flashing the downgrade hboot from the alpharev site. I typed fastboot flash hboot bravo_downgrade.img in cmd after previously extracting the bravo_downgrade.img into my androidsdk\tool folder. I amnowcertain that my problem was due to having flashed the alpharev sense hboot which didn`t have enough space on the system partition. It turns out that my problem wasn`t really that bad.

i have installed android drivers and the phone is well detected when i restart it with volume down and power ....
when i start the phone normally , windows doesn't detect it ....
i can't root it or remove S-ON beacuse i can't go into tel menu .....
the sdcard only contains a file called PD98IMG.ZIP .
All tutos on the site require that you have access to tel menu ....
So i need help please ...
any ideas welcome
( thks for reading me and don't hesitate if you need further infos on tel )
1) Try to S-OFF first with
http://revolutionary.io/
or
http://alpharev.nl/
2) After that try flashing your recovery with an recovery image using fastboot ( can be used in the screen that you still can access with the fastboot driver)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Maybe more detail here : (first google)
http://androidforums.com/evo-3d-all...lash-recovery-image-via-fastboot-sd-card.html
But I think first try to S-OFF, without that you may get some error while trying to flash your recovery
3) Install a ROM from recovery
Also maybe this tutorial is good for you
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/HT..._S-OFF_.26_Installing_a_Custom_Recovery_Image
Err no. It doesn't boot. Needs RUU to fix.
Op, do you know any details of the android version that should be installed? Was it branded? From a carrier? Which carrier? What country?

all i know is that it was distributed and sold by Orange France

Ok, orange RUUs are not usually available but warranty is not void using 2.3
Here is what I suggest.
Go to HTCdev com and download the RUU In the kernel source section. This is an exe you must run from a windows pc.
To install, from off, hold back and power to get to fastboot screen. Connect usb and wait for phone screen to say fastboot usb.
Run RUU from pc and follow prompts.
If this fails, recommend contacting HTC for warranty.
The first of the 2year warranties will start to finish this month though so bear that in Mind

I need to start from phase 2? i'm little confused about goldcard, i don't need it because my phone isn't branded? right?...
" [PHASE2]- we need to extract rom.zip from the RUU. If your phone is branded Orange, you will need a goldcard because Orange didn't release any RUU's.. The bastards
[P2/STEP1]- Run the RUU (BUT DO NOT PLUG IN YOUR PHONE OR CONTINUE), move it to the side as it cannot be minimised.
[P2/STEP2]- go to start menu, and use the "run" feature. Type in %temp%
[P2/STEP3]- select "date modified" to "today" (to make it easier to find). There are should now be 2 folders with long names of random characters.
[P2/STEP4]- search the folders for rom.zip and extract it to the desktop.
[P2/STEP5]- Rename the rom.zip to PB99IMG.zip (if on windows 7 and you have hidden file extensions, only make the name PB99IMG, otherwise it will be PB99IMG.zip.zip - because windows is retarded sometimes)
[PHASE3]- now we need to actually use the RUU
[P3/STEP1]- put the file in the ROOT of your sd-card (not in any file or folder) and boot into bootloader (poweroff, hold VOLUME DOWN and POWER). After a few seconds, you will be prompted to update bootloader. Select Yes. DO NOT INTERRUPT THE PROCESS, OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE.
[P3/STEP2]- Once the process is finished, you will now be S-ON and unrooted with the stock system. "

Flashed boot and recovery and tried my RUU.
However "my" RUU is not working as the CID has changed to VODAP102. (Error 131).
Searching now for the correct RUU (not found on shipped-roms.com)
As I didn't found a working RUU:
Is there any way to change the CID at the current phone status?
Or how can I create a GoldCard when the phone isn't working? (the way shown at the Q&A didn't work - ReadCID.exe doesn't show any output)
kind regards M$
i dont think a card reader works either. have u another phone or someone u know have a phone with sd card? if so use that to create a goldcard
Sent from my HTC Desire
So the GoldCard can be "created" in ANY phone - it must not be that one where it will be used?
M$
yh because the goldcard is ur sdcard. plug in the phone, run the goldcard tool it should detect the sdcard then press get cid, once it shows cid copy it then click the link below it to take u to the site where u create the goldcard then paste ur cid number and follow the other instructions then once u have the goldcard downloaded go back to goldcard tool, press the load goldcard (i think thats what it says) find the file on ur computer and select it then press patch r something like that and ur done. it should say succes sdcard is now a goldcard r something along those words. hope thats not too confusing lol

The phone stays a black screen with a white warning symbol in each corner, rebooting into recovery has the following information:
AlphaRev CM7 r2
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-4.06.00.02_2
[1]SPLASH 1 - OK
[2]USERDATA - OK
[3]SYSTEM - FAIL-PU
[4]RECOVERY - OK
[5]RADIO_CUST - OK
[6]RADIO_V2 - OK
[7]BOOTLOADER - Bypassed
[8]BOOT - OK
Partition update fail!
Update fail!
I've tried downloading the RUU 3 times, and get the same trouble each time. Can anyone help? (I can't post this in development as i'm a n00b still...)

You have cm7r2 hboot which gives you only 145MB for system partition and RUU requires stock partition table (250MB for system).
Flash alpharev stock hboot via fastboot, it can be obtained here:
alpharev.nl
After that run RUU, it should work perfectly.
Plus:
Reconsider using some other RUU the one you used is history old. Try with 2.3 RUU.

Thanks for that, i'm used to my sensation for flashing ROMs etc, i've just read up on this phone as I didn't realise there is different hboots to make different file tables!
OK, i've tried to use both alpharev and revolutionary, when I downloaded the img file for alpharev I can't get it to load, when I mount it, it just loads a folder with no executables, and revolutionary just sits on waiting for device?

What r u trying to mount it on, a virtual drive on ur pc??
Hi,
Yeah, i've tried installing them but nothing seemed to happen, i've gone in to device manager and changed drivers so instead of "My HTC" it now shows as "Android Bootloader Interface" but it still sits on "Waiting for device." Are there any ROMS that use the CM7 r2 available as a RUU package?
lol i just read the first post, sorry my bad. u r s-off and have CM7r2 hboot. if u dont like CM rom why not just flash another instead of going completely stock and s-on?

I was going to just install the RUU for now but that might have been a better idea before starting lol... Unless I can get either revolution to work so I can reflash a recovery or a RUU..

Problem is when I plug the USB in, even doing the vol down + power press brings me this...
rite so ur stuck in ruu mode. android flasher should still work coz u can still use fastboot commands. try flash the stock hboot img with android flasher. turn off phone then hold back button + power, that brings u to fastboot

I've tried that, and got the following:
C:\Users\Phil\Desktop\Android_AIO_Flasher\tools>fastboot flash boot "C:\Users\Phil\Downloads\bravo_alphaspl.img"
sending 'boot' (512 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.098s]
writing 'boot'...
C:\Users\Phil\Desktop\Android_AIO_Flasher\tools>
FAILED (remote: image error! (BootMagic check fail))
finished. total time: 0.099s
ul have to try with fastboot commands instead, here r the commands - fastboot flash hboot C:\bravo_alphaspl.img
put the bravo_alphaspl.img directly into ur C drive then run command
