Anyone have a linky for stock rooted IMM76I (latest right?) that I can flash in CWM? I have the GSM Galaxy Nexus? I looked around and couldn't find one which means its probably right in front of my face.
you can also flash the stock rom and easily root the phone.

Really? Is it idle when the battery is draining like that or is it in sleep mode? Have you checked to see what may be running in the background that could be causing this drain?

If you have a "yakju" or "maguro" device, download the factory image from here and follow the instructions for flashing and it will get you back to stock.

Here is the latest but only if you have a yakju/maguro product. If you have something else, I wouldn't flash anything from that page.

I've rooted my CDMA Nexus and flashed to the leaked stock 4.0.4 update.
Will it be possible to update at all using normal methods or will I need to flash via rootkit again?

Root is no problem. A non Stock recovery is, as well as a custom ROM. But you can always flash it manualy in stead of doing through the OTA process.

Hi everybody,
Now that the 4.0.4 has been released for the Galaxy Nexus GSM, is there a full (not OTA) stock 4.0.4 rooted ROM with Google apps?
Is it needed to update kernel and radio? I want to keep CWM.
I've searched around the forum but I didn't see answers to all my questions...
Thanks you!

to have the full 4.0.4 stock rom, you'll have to unlock bootloader and flash the factory image provided by google, either by fastboot or using the nexus toolkits. The kernel and radio will be flashed automatically if you use the toolkits as it's part of the image. You can then use the toolkit to reflash CWM
Yes but I prefer a .zip file so I can delete everything that I don't need before flashing the ROM.
Something like this ROM (the one I have now) :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1394246
Thanks you!
Download the factory image from google and root it yourself.
If I was able to do it I would not ask for a ROM.
Is there an easy way to convert the image from google in tgz format to a flashable .zip file?

Yes. You can use dsixda's kitchen to make a flashable .zip file from the .img you can download from google.
why not just flash the 4.0.4 images and re-root?
Sorry to hijack, but I've got a question along the similar line.
If I use the galaxy nexus toolkit and unlock my boot loader, then use the option in it to restore to stock. After that I keep my boot loader unlocked. Will I still get ota updates?

Unlocked bootloader doesn't effect OTA's AFAIK. Custom recovery like CAN however does.

Come on people search the forums and internet more please!
Google Factory Images for Nexus Devices
Download 4.1.2 (JZO54K) for either takju or yakju
flash required 'img's in fastboot
flash a custom recovery
search for a cwm.zip that gives you root
rejoice.
I'll tell you how to do it but I'm not going to hold your hand. This stuff is far too easy... You've been here long enough. Search next time!

Download titanium back up. Back up all app data. Make sure your on the latest clockwork mod or twrp. Wipe data factory reset flash mmuzzy 4.2.2 rom let apps restore from play store then restore app data from titanium back up and profit.

You can, but will she even notice if its updated? I'd fastboot flash all except userdata.img, in your case http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
so i can get the system img and boot img from 4.2.2 and flash it on her Gnex and itll work?

I think Titanium is your best bet... After I flash a rom I restore apps and data (not system apps) before I even sign into my Google accounts, it's never failed, I've have backups that I've used since Titanium came out, it's never failed me and I've never had any issues with it...

Trust me ANY other custom ROM is usually ALOT better than pure stock, she will appreciate it mor as an update!
Any custom rom will have advantages over plain stock.
I also have a similar question. Is there any way to stay on stock unrooted 4.1.1 and get the 4.2 lock screen?
