[Q] Navbarsize zip/mod - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys.
Got a little question. Using AOKP at the moment. I like the option to set the navbarsize myself. Is there a possibility via mod or flashable zip to get change the navbarsize? Found a flashable zip to change the size to 2/3 of the original size. but i´d like to have 24dp =1/2 of original size.
can anyone make a flashable zip or mod to change it? i´m very addicted to aokp, because there´s no other rom that makes this size possible. always when i try other roms i get back to aokp because of the navbar. the size of 1/2 of navbar is pretty perfect to me, it´s still very responsive, but uses less space.
i´d be very greateful for some help
thanks in advance

AOKP has it built in.. It is under rom control/navigation bar

[Request] MOD for 5 Row Icons

I really like Calkulin's 5 row icons and was wondering if anyone can tell me how I can implement this on other ROMS
I'm sure there is a way to make a flashable zip that can be applied in recovery.
I also like the Lock MOD too and found one from ASC, seems that their site is down though

[Request] Razr Style nav Softkeys

Hello everyone -
Feel how you will about motorola/locked bootloaders, etc. but youd have to agree they do have some design skills as of lately. Something I think fellow modders would enjoy would be standard and possibly reflective versions of the droid razr nav keys. Any takers? There are a lot of custom nav keys available, but I thought these would be a welcome addition. The more choices, the better, yes? No access to Photoshop on my end unfortunately, and the process of creating custom nav keys seems a bit beyond my scope- so I turn to a community of skilled themers instead!
Included is an image of what the proposed finished softkeys would look like.

Awesome, that was record time! thanks sonny! Really appreciate your work! Im assuming these are installed via metamorh, zip themer, etc. like the other soft keys collection and are not cwm flashable, am I correct?
Post up your SystemUI.apk
Root explorer - System/app/SystemUI
Copy that and post here. I'll make a zip right quick. Also when you touch the keys, do you want white or blue?
BTW, these keys are sick.
razr softkeys
Here's my system UI. I tried using with zipthemer, but, though I was doing it correctly, the .zip that sonny provided said, 'no theme control file' or something of the sort. I didnt wanna assume it was a flashable zip, just not sure what to do with the file sonny uploaded. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
I currently use AOKP B23 along with the black exodus theme, so I think I'll go with the white highlights for the keys.
Thanks again!
Try this. Ignore the text when installing. Its for the nav bar mod. I am to lazy to change it lol.
BTW, same rom I'm using, aside from the theme.
Remember nandroid just in case. Not saying anything will happen, but better safe than sorry.
flashable razr style navbuttons
Thats what i'm talkin about, awesome! worked like a charm. thanks again for this. Is it super difficult to create a flashable zip? Id really like to be able to create my own. Useful skill to have. Id actually like to create a series of softkeys as flashable zips and post them e here for everyone to enjoy.
btw; is it possible to make the keys slightly smaller? how involved of a process would that be? I was previously using the htc style navbuttons, and they were a nice size, smaller than these (or the stock buttons for that matter). Reflective versions might be kick ass too!
PS- if under rom control you enable all five nav buttons, they obviously become smaller to fit. The size they are at this point would be about perfect as a standard size. In my case, i prefer to only use four keys (omitting the tasks key) and using the long press home function for tasks.
Its actually quite easy honestly. As well as creating buttons and such.
Feel free to hit me up on gtalk - [email protected] and I'll share a few tips.
Btw, dont forget the "thanks" button
Any way u could make this work with zip themer or metamorph?
I really like them.

Motorola RAZR M JB
Hey,
I have two motorola razrs, one on ICS and one on JB 4.1.2.
So the ICS buttons with the blue glow are awesome, but JB has it grey which i want to change.
Can you tell me how to do that? I can extract anything if you want from the ICS RAZR to use.
Thanks in advance, searching for this one from a long time :fingers-crossed:

For glow...extract button glow PNG. And use a IMG editor to change color put them back in and reinstall sysapk
...or use zip themer soft key zip and install that way. Prob much quicker that way.

zipthemer needs the zip file for the ROM. I am downloading flashboot files for it to refer, maybe that will help. But extracting and replacing sounds like something i would prefer Will give it a try, thanks :good:

[REQ][Theme] Dynamic Navbar coloring?

IHey there, i'm not sure if this is the right category to post it, since it's a request/idea/theme related, but anyways here's the thing.
The Navbar, It's nice to use but it looks kinda horrid, not to mention the screen estate loss & Screen Burn-in effect, So i was thinking.
So the idea is :
Can it be that the navigation bar would change color to match that of the app you're running currently? is it attainable? please fill me in
If not, can anyone help me on getting it Transparent (regardless of performance drop, it's okay) because i looked everywhere and i can't find anything about it, Changing it color or making it transparent would do for now until that feature is available (in the next android update or in a Custom ROM like AOKP/PA/CNA.
Thanks in advance ;A;
[Fixed] : ParanoidAndroid added this feature and nailed it, thanks!

[Q] Grid Size higher than 7x7 CM10

I'm currently running ARANOIDANDROID 2.53 and I really love how I can change the size of how my apps run and my usable destop space. but the CM10 trebuchet launcher only alows 7x7 which is okay for the colums but it leaves large gaps for the rows. Is there anyway to get past the 7x7 max setting? I found a flash for CM9 but am scared to try it.
I'm not sure about the cm9 flash. But to change the options available you'd probably have to decompile the launcher and edit the code.
Your best bet would be to ask in the thread and hopefully the dev or someone else will have an idea for an alternative launcher or may know if the cm9 one would work. (I wouldn't guess it will as its an ics version being put on a jb rom. But you never know till you ask!)
If you wind up trying to flash a mod like that, just be sure you have a nandroid backup and be certain the mod was made for this device!

Need touchwiz ROM with soft key navbar.

My wife's sgs2 nav bar died. So I flashed slimbean which has a softkey nav bar capability and that rom kicks ass. Problem is that its her phone and she misses touchwiz. Specifically the calendar. So is the anyone out there that can point me to a rom with touchwiz and softkey nav bar, or even better, guide me to a thread that helps me install softkey nav in the Jedi mind trick ROM? Please help guys.

Thanks man, but those are a no go. Tried the first one and its just a pain (it does work in a pinch, just not suitable for daily use). The second one doesn't install nav softkeys, it just allows you to change their properties if the phone already has nav softkeys, which slimbean already has that customization ability baked in.
oo ok scratch that an maybe try this but not promissed but staying on slim but giving her the Touch wiz 5 launcher that way she can still use the stocky look but still have the navbar maybe ???? if not i hate to say it here but you can try out JellyBam on goo.im and in there settings you can download the TW launcher for her or even paranoid since they have the most customization out there and or stable jelly milestone 6 was the stable and true just a thought to try and help
Use whatever rom you like, with the navigation bars you want. Then pay a couple bucks for pure grid calendar widget. Its pretty much the same as the touchwiz Calender widget....plus themes for it.
Sent from my cell phone telephone....
I would open the phone and see if the ribbon did not pop out. Replacing is expensive( not the keypad, but the screen) as you have to get the screen out and good chance for damaging. Keypad is cheap.
Thanks for the replies. I have actually taken the phone apart and the ribbon cable was in place. Not really interested in a widget either, but it is a nice widget. I did however find this:
