[DIALER]{Multy DPI}[deodexed/odexed]{ICS room}[base on stock room](REQ) - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

I will like first than any other thing to apologize if you are reading this and you thought finaly a multi DPI stock dialer aviable, sorry i dont have it. I needed a title to guet some readers to see it. Second for my really bad speling.
This post has been created whit one goal:
¡¡¡¡¡MULTI DPI STOCK SAMSUNG DIALER!!!!!
I have scouted xda forums for weeks (months now) to guet one, but this mod just... DOES NOT EXIST.
I have seen this request on replies, new threats, but no one single developer has responded to this call.
If YOU reader support this threat, i will sent a pm to your inbox once i guet one.
Now I will place here what WE are asking for:
1. Multi DPI samsung stock dialer
Yes we know there is an stock ics dialer and contacts, some android market apps whit multi dpi aviable free or paid, but we dont want that.
Well that is the reason of this post, but I have seen what people belive, is the PERFECT dialer:
1. Multi DPI samsung stock dialer
2. AutoRotate disiable
3. Full screem picture
4. ICS compatible
5. Record call aviable
And going a little bit more... demanding. If a developer decides to guet on this heroe path, on the SAMSUNG STOCK contacts app, the ability to unite more than five accounts to one contact.
Hopefully a great xda dev will become the heroe and provide the apk that many are looking.

I am so with you on this one, for months now I am looking for it, so do wish that one of the Devs will look into this for us all.
Come on guys PLEASE !!!!!!!!

Pls i need the Multi DPI Dialer for my VK Rom cause my phones Dpi is 182 but the integrated Dialer is to small and the number where cut
pls help

im waiting too +1

It doesn't work well for example in a call if you want to switch to your keypad it will switch to original Phone.apk, plus it looks ugly, we want true multi dpi!!!

The first would be something you have to take up with the dev for that game and the second might be doable. Just have to ask the right person. You should add [REQ] to the title of the thread.
ok i dont know how ill contact the dev for the game but i guess ill look around like they say Google is your friend.
My bad on forgetting to add the [REQ] on the title will do right now.
If you're talking about the bubble style text messaging, you could install ChompSMS or Handcent from the market. Both have similar themes

Yes the bubbly style is what im looking for without having to install a replacement app. Like using the installed one. ChompSMS/Handcent are replacement apps and they have some good things about them and some bad things about them. I just prefer the stock one but modified a bit.

[Q] SGS2 Messaging app with themes?

Hello,
I just updated my SGS2 to 2.3.4 today and unfortunately, I seem to have lost the part that I liked the most about the messaging app: the ability to change themes. I really hate the way it looks now and would really like the plain look of one of the themes back.
Is it possible to push the older themable messaging app. to this new firmware and get the theme functionality back?
If anyone has the messaging app that supports themes, could you please pull it and attach it here so I can give it a try?
Many thanks.
+1 I miss the black theme as it goes sooo much better with my current rom. I'd be interested to know if this can be done
True. Let's see if someone can help with this
I use GoSmsPro and it has a few themes
I understand that there are alternatives available but I wish to have the stock messaging app back which supports themes I would really appreciate it if someone could pull it from their phone.
I'd like to have the stock messaging app with themes too (I wa addicted to the "funny" style..., I'm a dumbass I know...)
There should be SOMEONE with the older app
Here's what I tried:
I tried downloading an older KE7 firmware from 18th May and extracted the Mms.apk/odex and MmsProvisioning.apk/odex files and pushed them to /system/app and tried rebooting but that didn't change anything
If I try INSTALLING the new Mms.apk file it says Application not installed even if I try remounting the system as rw
Discussed before in this thread, no joy so far:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1177494
In that thread, this guy said he had a solution, but never posted the .apk:

There HAS to be a solution
Yes theres a solution, after every new rom install i flash with cwm this mms fix and it restores the message themes.

Thank you so much! You're the man!
For those of you who had trouble with odexed/deodexed, go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1159920
And get Darky's odex->deodexed converter and install that first using DarkyRom2 Tool (available free on market)
so annoying. i want my old themes back (especially the black one). i'm guessing the app got updated, so i'd be keen to just get the them part back in...
any solution to this?
i want it tooo!!!
there's nothing like this!!
I tried the solution posted above but once you go depdexed you lose hardware acceleration in the browser and it gets laggy as hell. I guess I'm gonna have to keep on hoping for an odex solution
You could go back to 2.3.3 , really what will you be missing out?

[REQ] MultiDPI Phone dialer

Hey guys, Attempted to modify the stock DPI last night and noticed the phone dialer like in all Samsung based roms becomes warped..
I was hoping someone with the skillset could make a modified version of the dialer so its multiDPI compatible.. Would love to use a slightly lower DPI for more screen real estate.
Its tempting to move over to CM9/AOKP but I cant pull myself away from TouchWiz at the moment.
Cheers guys, look forward to your responses.
You could use a modified touchwiz launcher to increase the room that way. Otherwise you could use a different dialer from the marketplace...

Both valid work arounds, although not a solution.. default dialer is the best in my opinion.
Looking for stock mdpi dialer.. This stock dialer is too good to omit . Searching for a good guide, couldn't find one.

Great, if you find one please do share.
I remember seeing a guide on how to convert the dialer to mdpi on some other model phone in the past, the methodologies could be applied just the same.. although it was quite outdated.
When I get a chance ill see if I can find it, ill post a link on here may help someone with a little more skillset then myself.
+1
Would love to see a 240 dpi touchwiz phone dialler for the S3
Please let me know if you guys find one that works =)

[Q]Question for the 989 Forums

I posted this in the Q&A section, but im posting it here aswell because i do want a response
I havent seen this since ICS release for us & im moving on to other projects & calling this release-worthy, themeless atm
I have very little time to sit down working on droid so only theme i got for it uses "borrowed" textures to fit everything & i have no clue as to alot of the sources
Basicly my question is simply:
1.) Should i release a (true) multi dpi dialer for ICS? (Built from telus but xmls will work on LE1)
If so:
Should it be modded?
(no rotation, transparent, themed, etc)
If so what would you like to see most?
Any opinions would be appreciated..
For theming if someone can get permissions for me to port one, or supply pngs, as i seriusly have no time for texturing.. my cs5 is going to waste the past few months
I attached two screenshots of stock themed apk at 190dpi & 240dpi
This is the TW dialer with true multi dpi
Lets see where this goes...
Really? I appreciate your work and everything, but a multi DPI dialer? Who really cares. Most people don't even use the dialer, lol. Even if they do, who dials so many numbers that they need a smaller DPI?
Lmfao, the stock dialer has alot of benifits tbh and when you set the density lower then 240 the stock dialer gets. This fixed that by remaining the same regardless of dpi, and actuslly more ppl use the stock dialer then u obviously realize
Thx for your input though

I'm not talking about the stock dialer, I'm talking about the dialer in general. Most people go into their contacts list and find the person they want to dial instead of actually dialing their number. What benefits does a multi DPI dialer have? What are you trying to achieve?

Interesting.. Mind sharing your sources? I never knew that anyone took statistics of how people dial contacts. I for one have always used the dialer to "smart dial".

font size

The font on my GF DZ is to small for her comfort.
I've not been able to find a way to expand the size of the system font.
So now I'm looking for a decent GB sense 3 rom with a standard big font size or a adjustable font size.

I tried “Big Font” and it is working for me on CM7.2. The application average rating is 4.3 so I would say for most people it is working Maybe it is not working on sense based ROMs.

that may cause compatibility issues in the market, try rom tool box, you may need the pro version but I believe its on sale right now. otherwise there many ics (and jelly bean) natively allow font change
