I don't think that the one I ordered from Amazon has a kickstand.

Hard clear case

So I remember when i had my first ipod touch years ago i had this clear see through hard case and i loved it. It didnt really add that much bulk and it felt nicely in the hand. Im getting the white gs3 and i really dont want to take anything away from the look and feel and I want at least some protection. I was wondering if there was any kind of clear hard case out for this phone right now?

I cant wait to rock it with my galaxy nexus when it gets shipped!

The reason i went with the iluv translucent case over a regular clear hard case was because after the back of that clear case gets scratched up from setting it down on things, it is going to start looking like crap. all the case nice and clear with beat up scratch marks on the contact points. The translucent will no doubt get scratched also, but IMO will be less obvious.

I received this case today. Just thought I would let you guys know that it has a soft feel to it that provides good grip. I thought it would be just hard slick plastic, so I'm pleased with that aspect. Now I just need AT&T to ship my phone! lol

I had this case for my GS2 and iPhone 4s and I got rid of my phones long before it started to sag. However, I plan to keep my GS3 for quite awhile.

It's really annoying just like holding a bubble behind the phone. Ended up modding it my self by cutting the back away

Protection wise, I think the hybrid. Other than that both quality cases. Can't go wrong with either.

As the name suggests, the Ultra Thin, is "ultra thin." If you want something slim, you should go with it or get the Neo Hybrid instead if you want more protection.

Well, SGP did mention they are either going to make it with TPU or semi-TPU, hopefully that's the case instead of silicone

I've had the Neo Hybrid for the SG2 but never had the sagging issue. I hope that's not the case cause I really like the feel of them. Will definitely get it when it is available.

the sagging issue is due to taking the phone out of the casing too frequently? as least that was what happened for me

the sagging issue should NOT be present in the S3 version according to SGP (in the YouTube video)... The representative or whatever commenting saying new material is being used that is stronger and will not sagg

The pics on the site look real. They also did a video review of the case with drop test....there was a pic of what looked to be genuine otterbox packaging. Hoping it's the real deal....they see to be a legit site. When I ordered mine today they had no stock of the blue, purple or green....only a crapload of black and 13 (make that 12 after my order lol) of the glacier.

I've ordered a case from Noreve already, but had an Otterbox on my HD2 and the protection was great... especially when you're drunk and likely to drop your phone :laugh:

That was a selling point for me as well. I love my ballistic sg maxx, particularly due to the less bulky holster....so it will probably be my go 2 when leaving the house. When hanging at the house I will make good use of the kickstand feature on the otter holster. My only wish would be that it could be used in portrait mode. I had an otter on my last phone and NEVER knew it had a kickstand until a few days ago. :banghead:

Yes, it comes with a belt clip. It's a separate holster that stays on your belt and the phone clips into it. It can also be used as a kickstand if you take it off your belt and 'lock' the clip open.
If it's anything like the HD2 Otterbox the screen protector is good, but mine didn't hold up well to repeatedly removing the phone from the case, it developed blotchy parts where it was sticking right to the screen and other parts weren't. Eventually I removed the screen protector (it's not designed to be removable, so you can't put it back in if you do remove it).

Thanks for posting this excellent deal. I've used Smartphonepedia.com recently. I ordered my Galaxy S3 Body Glover tpu case from them. It arrived extremely fast and if the case is knockoff, I honestly couldn't tell. It came in retail packaging and the product shows no signs of being 'cheap' or 'knockoff'.
I definitely did not hesitate on taking advantage of this deal. I ordered the glacier colored case and even though it's on back order, i'm perfectly fine with waiting considering the cost savings and besides my Body Glove case from this company is holding me over just fine. Ya I bought one of the HTC cases knowing it was an issue. Thought I could just be careful with it. Lasted one day. Couldn't stop thinking about it. All I could think about was my beautiful black one being scratched up everytime I moved. I took it back the next day and ordered a poetic atmosphere case.
On the subject of the otterbox, I used a commuter otterbox on my evo lte and was very pleased with it. I hate the bulky defender case but the commuter really doesn't add much to it. Just an fyi and sharing my personal opinion.

How did you "pop out" the built in protector? I thought it was glued?
I'm using a defender, but have ordered the Tuff as Nuts model. I think I might go ahead and get rid of the external protector, since dust gets under there.
I plan to go commando, or nearly that, depending on if a thin TPU case will work with the "nuts" model - they are really stiff when new. I had one a while back for a different phone - great protection.

Its really essy to do. Theres videos on youtube. Literally take your thumb and press the top out and when that pops out peel the rest out. Any glue you have left just peel off

Thanks for the tip. I just removed mine. I don't know what they were thinking with that piece of plastic. It only served to trap lint and dust between the plastic and the screen.

Yea the one for the htc one is very weird bc they had to cut out for the speakers so i popped it out. The one on my s4 is nice though

Yeah, I really liked it back on my HD2, but it does need to be sealed all around to be effective. The odd thing is that they got it right on the top, but not the bottom.

If u r gunna pop the screen protector out why not just go with the commuter. It's less bulky, just sayin.

The belt clip and the defender dose offer a little more protection then the commuter. Plus i like the feel of the defender

Has anyone tried to install a different screen protector on it? I want to remove my built in screen protector for the same reason of getting dust under. I still have the Zagg screen protector I got free from best buy but I don't really like the feel of it and the onion peel of it. I was thinking on getting a spigen screen protector, I wonder if the Glas slim protector from spigen will work with the defender? Let me know if anyone have tried this combination.
