Hi!
I have gotten the Dr. Dre Beats Tour w/ control talk and before the new Tmobile update rolled out only play/pause would work now after the new update I can play/pause/skip/forward and go back to a previous track playing music but for some reason the volume up/down doesn't work is there something that can be done to make the volume up/down work?
I'm currently using Android 4.0.3
Thanks for the help!

I have a rooted htc evo 4g (Kernel 2.6.32.17-gee557fd [email protected] #15 Runing MikFroYo 4.4)
I bought a pair of MIE2 mobile headset yesterday
and cant decide if i should have gotten the MIE2i
mobile headset which has volume control skip pause
etc... and have been serching for an app or rom
bacically a work around that allowes you to use those
features but with the HTC Evo 4G instead of apple
products or if you dont even need a work around
because the MIE2's only skip and pause music and
its a pain to try to skip a song because you usually
end up pressing pause and its very frustarating because
i dont know if i made the right decision. Hope this made
sense and you get the picture of what im saying........
Im thanking everyone in advance for your time and help
I need advice/answer ASAP i only have a 30 day return policy
The mie2i's volume control will not work for the evo.
I use the mie2 set and have gotten very used to the controls and they are not an issue, i love the set.
My brother had bought the mie2i's and we tested on evo, that is how i know for sure.
Thanks a lot im getting used to the controls as well

Neither. It's Bose. There are much better options for less money.
Just out of curiosity, what would some good alternative options be?
Does anyone know if the Beats By Dr. Dre TOURS w/ Controltalk work with our device?
I know for sure that the volume up and down buttons won't work but I'm just interested in hoping that the microphone and button ability will. All I really need the controltalk for is for answering/ending calls then using the button to pause/play/forward/back my music with Poweramp.
Oh and not sure if this matters, but I'm running AOKP July 15th ROM ICS 4.0.4.
Any input would be appreciated.

Well yes also as an extra microphone, essentially for answering calls while listening to music without needing to hold my phone near my mouth with the headphones in. Does the microphone work as well for you when using it for calls?
I flashed awesome beats on my phone and then bought the in ear bud beats by Dre and the volume rocker doesn't work obviously because its not supported on my device. Anyone have any solutions or software to get the 3 click buttons to work on the gnex? I'm rooted and running jro03o on my phone fyi
3button headphones
I'm hoping someone can give me guidance on this if its possible to have support for the volume rocker on my headphones or not. Please help. I don't like the apps in the market that let u use the play pause button to skip forward and backward either using 2 or 3 clicks. Oh and running liquid jellybean maybe that can help
The chrome button and mic work out of box. Otherwise, sometimes not even apps can help, I know volume will probably never work, but hey, Mic and chrome button (Google Now shortcut) beats nothing working!

The control talk is designed for iPhones and contains a special method of communicating with the device. Our android devices don't support that but we have support for the center button.

Hi all.
I recently purchased an HTC One X and a pair of urBeats earphone with it.
urBeats earphone link : http://www.beatsbydre.com/earphones/beats-urbeats/beats-urbeats,default,pd.html
The sound is amazing and overall I am satisfied with the device. However the volume controls dont work on the one x. Is there absolutely no way by which the volume control can work? Play, pause, call answer etc. all work fine. I am using Android Revolution HD rom.
P.S. - I dont really remember but I think the volume control worked before the jellybean update.
Thanks in advance.

you should of gotten the HTC UrBeats, the UrBeats on the official website is DESIGNED for iDevices... This means, ONLY the middle button will work. and no, remote apps will not make the volume buttons work, they aren't even recognized by the android device at all...
You can use a remote control application which can make the middle button skip tracks (e.g press 3 times to skip track etc.)
Android's headphones/earphone remotes have track skip buttons and iDevices have volume buttons...
So there is absolutely no way by which i can makemot work.....?

You can also use combinations to change volume, and basically whatever you want.
Chekout: Headset Button Controller
I've used it before. Works pretty well.
Hello,
Since my stock headset broke, I'm looking for a new one. I've found a headset with 3 buttons (volume up/down and play/pause). Do you know whether these earphones will work fine with my i9100? I'm specifically interested in the volume control buttons, because it's much easier to turn the music up/down using the headset.

well they say compatible with the s2, so one assumes so.
likely they arent actually genuine samsung, but you get what you pay for.
well those are the note's earphones and i have them working perfectly on my i9100
Hi Pal!
If your dont want to miss your default headset you can try Jays app from play store.. it will work like charm...
Wanted to ask will Nokia's music control headset work with s2?
beast i9100
They look very similar to mine. They are crap, the sound is very trebly almost no base. The original Samsung ones are much better (my wife has a pair)

I have two headsets, one is "a-jays four" and other are "JBL J22i" on both only play/pause button works but volume buttons do not.
Is there anyway to hack this and make them work?
Try out HeadsetDroid for customization of the headset buttons. Works like a charm for me, well worth the couple of dollars.
