I think you can remove the notification bar when using Apex Launcher etc...
Try resetting the phone, just a natural reset from long press power button...

Thanks, but reset did not work either. Any other suggestions?

Is it something you have started from the browser?

Just restart the phone. It goes away

Try deleting data from both apps, Facebook and Facebook for HTC sense.
Failing that, delete both accounts in settings and add them back.
When you rebooted, did you have fadtboot unticked?

Have you tried going into your app draw and then to the download app?
(sorry if that sounds like the dumbest thing ever, but I sometimes forget about it)

you might need to configure the POP server on your gmail account
it worked just fine until I restored it from unity... Up until then, it was great!

Happens every now and then when flashing ROMs, go into Settings/Applications/Manage Applications and delete cache and then data; you'll need to do a quick setup and let it resync but, it'll work after that.

I've been having the same issues. Uninstall, reinstall, cleared cache and data - none of that works. =/ would LOVE to get this resolved!

Glad I could help; still haven't figured out what's causing it though. Sometimes it happens after flashing a new ROM, sometimes it doesn't; sometimes it just randomly happens :/

Funny, I just had the same happen to me yesterday (Gmail wouldn't send). Its happened to me before, but it was months ago. So I forgot the fix, and had to Google around for it a bit. Kinda funny to see it here today.
I figured out my problem. I was reinstalling all my apps with titanium. Once I reinstalled the rom and reinstalled apps one by one via market - gmail was fixed. =)

Do any of you by chance reinstall system data too? Or just apps and data?

Never reinstall system data unless you're flashing between like ROMs

Frequently Used Apps

Hi,
Does anyone know which file in the all apps list controls the frequent apps tab in the main menu or does this just come under Sense?
The list of apps on this menu tab never seem to update so am looking to do a reset/clear data, cache etc. I have the usual suspects in there like mail, messages, internet but mirror & voice recorder? Never opened...
Thanks.

Anyone have any input/info at all on the frequent tab in the main menu?
Do yours update/refresh with recently opened apps etc.?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
No-one know?!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Might be Htc Sense? If I recall right , launcher and app drawer are the same app? Not 100% sure though, but worth trying
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Cleared cache/data on Sense, Settings, Settings Storage to no avail.
Surprised no-one has brought this up previously - presume not many ppl use the frequent menu/tab...

In layman terms wipe cache in recovery.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Can you advise how to do that?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
just boot the device to recovery by first turning it off, then press volume down key and the power button at the same time. Then highlight recovery in bootloader by moving with volume keys, and select it using the power button. When you are in recovery just select the wipe cache partition option
I hope this helped.

Many thanks, haven't come across the term CWM before, only bootloader.
Ended up hard resetting due to another issue I wanted to try & resolve also. Not really sure what happened before to prevent the frequent tab updating but it works now.

CWM = ClockworkMod (recovery)
