So after downgrading from 2.3.4 to 2.3.3 I have lost all service. I have tried reactivating by pressing *228 and i get nothing.
signal strength reads 0
any ideas on what to do?
Which bootloader did you have on the phone before the downgrade?
What method did you use to downgrade? We are going to need all the specifics to help.

I have an unlocked galaxy nexus(SC04D). Before unlocking it was on 4.2.1. Root checker showed "not properly rooted" .After unlocking it was on 4.0.2 bootloader was locked but root checker showed "your device has root access". After some days I forgot my screen unlock pattern with WiFi an data off. So I had to unroot and flash stock(4.1.1) to recover it.(I rooted it afterwards)After that I didn't get signal,nothing at all! After some time I discovered that checking "use 2g networks only" only gives signal. When network type goes to HSDPA then the signal bars disappear! Baseband version showed XXLH1(Not sure about this!)
So I flashed XXKK6 baseband. Received ' H ' for some time, but same thing again.....! (UGKL1, XXLA2 also gives the same result.) I live in India n bands supported here are 900/1800/2100. My device was locked 1 day after I purchased it. I have observed that it only worked with 3g when I was on 4.0.2(when it was unlocked the 2nd time) & 4.0.4(when I bought it). What can I do now? I have no idea what your issue could be. Your best bet would be to flash all the stock images as per this thread, and then root as per the same thread (if you wish).

I tried that! When i forgot my unlock pattern then i flashed stock 4.1.2 using "Wug Fresh Nexus Root Toolkit". The problem occured after i flashed the stock ROM. It worked fine when it was on 4.0.4. Can u tell me which radio came with the 4.0.4 Factory image? Or should i flash the 4.0.4 factory image instead?

Don't use any toolkit. Flash ALL the images contained in the factory image yourself. That way, you know that it is done properly, and you know what images you are flashing. If you download the factory image in the link I provided you, you could easily see what radio is contained.
Many times I had see an error after it requests 'Handset Configuration'
it says 44'H,ME error.

IMEI was corrupt
After much research i discovered that my imei number was corrupt it started with 0049....0000. and this no is blocked on every network except on the govt owned BSNL network i use and that too only on 2G. Its 3G network has that imei blocked as well. but can you please suggest me a proper working way to "RECOVER" my imei number.
1. MY PHONE WHEN I GOT IT WAS F180S, VERSION: 4.1.2. UPDATED THROUGH PHONE IN 4.4.2. KITKAT.
THEN FOR ROOTING THE PHONE I CONVERT IT IN LOWER VERSION AGAIN 4.1.2 VIA KDG_UPDATER. AT THAT TIME THE PHONE STUCK AT LOGO, THEN FROM THE FORUM I HAVE SOLVED IT BY THE HELP OF A SENIOR MEMBER(GRATEFUL TO HIM) USING HARD RESET. I HAVE LOST THE IMEI THAT TIME AS NO BACKUP OF EFS MADE.
2. THEN I ROOT IT BY BINARY METHOD. AFTER ROOTING, THE NETWORK SIGNAL BECAME SO POOR.
3. THE I TRIED TO UPDATE, BUT IT WASNT AND SHOW ME "PHONE NOT FOUND"
4 THEN I FLASH MY PHONE BY USING "LS970ZV7_02.SV7_02.P25006.bin" VIA LGNPST METHOD. NOW IT BECOMES SPRINT LS970, VERSION: 4.0.4. 'BUT NO NETWORK SERVICE FOUND", The Sim toolkit is found in application, but sim network service is disabled.
5. WHEN I M TRYING TO UPDATE IT VIA KDZ_UPDATER WITH F180S20B, IT SHOWS SOME ERROR(ATTACHED HEREWITH)

As i mentioned in my last post, i tried everything to recover my IMEI but in vain.
I can't return my phone to the customer service center because i flashed the KNOX bootloader and the warranty is void.
But my phone can make/receive calls, send/receive SMS and 3g network works fine.
So do you guys think it's necessary to fix the IMEI problem?
P.S.
Flashed to stock rom, nothing happened.
Update firmware using Kies, "Your devices current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies"
Edit IMEI through EFS Pro,lost connection warning appears as i press connect key.
Edit IMEI through PQST, No phone warning.
...and many other methods...
Very frustrated and tired.

I tried everything to unlock SGH-M919 - M919TMBFOK3 , The most popular way I tried was to downgrade to 4.4.2 then root it with chainfire, downgrading the modemsto MDL then using regionlock away and the *#0011# sequence as in this thread:

However, I still can't get my phone to work with other sim cards. Even though I don't get the interface asking for a code to unlock it after I reboot, it still says invalid sim card.
Is there any definite way to solving my problem? I would be very grateful for your help!
Is there a reason you can't use an unlock code from TMo? The phone being this old, plus you explaining you're doing it to use it outside the US, I'm pretty sure TMo will hook you up with a code that works in stock.
The reason I ask is because I had the same issue a year ago when I travelled to the UK for work. I felt naked without Google Maps :crying:
