Greetings to all...
to use GB, or ICS, I should not change radio, or kernel???
some roms need to change radio, or kernel, If I want to change the radio, as I return to the stock radio, or kernel???
dear friends thanks for your kind reply.
If you use ics, use an ics radio. Usually roms come with kernels. On gb kernels are pretty much interchangeable. Ics doesn't have any published custom kernels yet

Thank you for you reply born2gethard....
Well, every rom ICS has its own radio, or one radio for each rom???
if after I re-use the stock rom, not need to install the stock radio, or just to install the stock rom, radio is also installed????
and if I need to install, where I downloaded???
Sorry for being a fool at this
I've been using the newest one:
T989 UVLE1
for ICS roms.
Works great
The radio from the Blaze works great, too

Mr. X has a thread in the Dev section with links to the radios. TDJ has a modified le1 radio in his darkside ics rom. That's the one I'm using on both gb and ics

I'm not sure if they were meant to be used on GB, but they work damn good for me. Wipe caches AFTER you flash the radio

Hey everyone so I'm using the AOKP Milestone 6 ROM and upon doing the speed test, I'm getting ~ 600 kbps. I was wondering which radio is recommended by the majority of people here for this particular ROM? Thanks!
Test them all out, it depends on your location so nobody can tell you which ones best

Gotcha. Is there a link to all the radios currently available? Sorry I'm just new to this forum and modding my phone with custom ROMs so forgive me.
Well here's one and this is the blaze radio http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1793001
Just flash in recovery
http://sourceforge.net/projects/darksidetools/files/ Here are two more radios, the only one you can download are the LC8 one and the LE1. Make sure it says Tmo and don't flash other ones.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
Apparently the Blaze radio is a bit iffy for those who have AOKP m6. In my own case, I flashed it and I got great signal at my work, it's just that the data wasn't working at all so I quickly switched back to the original (UVLE1 / The modded one with no RIL's). If you're interested, you can find the modded UVLE1 in Darkside's ' .evolution [rom] ' thread in the 'Android Development' forum.
I've had the best luck with the Tellus radio.

Most Roms I've found here are based on T-Mobile base and work great but I've been longing for a tweaked Telus-based Rom for my T989D. The result was the following Rom:
-Removed Touchwiz Launcher and replaced with Apex Launcher
-Numerous tweaks to build.prop
-Rooted, Deodexed, Zipaligned
-Busybox
-Numerous init.d scripts
-CPU Sleeper Script (Thanks to eugene373)
-Google Now (Thanks to cajunflavoredbob)
I will be slowly evolving this as I learn more about Rom making and get a chance to talk to some more experienced devs (such as 14-toggle, etc.).
You can download it here:

If you have any questions feel free to ask but keep in mind I'm a complete newbie. Suggestions are welcome!

For now, I am running stock Telus Rom. I rooted my phone, and flashed TWRP 2.2.2 Recovery. There are so many ROMs for this phone I have a problem choosing the right one But I will definitely be waiting for this one!

is the social hub included in the rom? And by the way, the best one I have tried:good:
Thank you that's very generous. I'm afraid the hubs aren't included, however, it would be a simple matter of adding the apk to the system/app since I have not messed around with the framework that makes the Samsung apps work.

Hi all,
I'm going to buy a Telus 4G Samsung Galaxy S II™ X, However, I have some question:
1. Can I unlock the bootloader and install any ROM?
2. What is the latest official firmware? Is Samsung going to issue a JB?
3. How is the battery life?
4. Any advice
Thank you in advance
1. Yes
2. Telus has released 4.0.3 I believe. JB is supposed to be official for this phone.
3. It's ok, maybe gets through the work day, depending on usage.
4. If you do flash a ROM make sure it's for the t989 and not the international s2.
Enjoy.

Only thing I have to add is that the Koodo ROM floating around here doesn't work well with Telus as it has the Koodo AP baked into it by default. I'm loving CM 10.0.0 on this phone.

I'm on Telus and the Koodo ROM is amazing. You just have to manually add the APN (settings are listed in the thread).
CM10 is great too but TW ROMs have better call quality and battery life in my experience.
With Koodo V5 I typically do 2-2.5 hours of screen time, 1 hour of voice calling daily and I'm still over 20% when I plug it in at night.
the official android release is 4.0.4 now thats what I had when I purchased my SGH-T989D from Koodo. Telus and Koodo are practically the same I think?

I'm also planning on buying the T989D. Could someone confirm that on the T989D we can flash any roms for T989 (t-mobile) ?
