[Q] Help! getting sent to clockwork after boot - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Guys, i'm a little dumbfounded right now and im not sure what to do.
My girlfriends gnex was sitting in clockwork recovery when she picked it up and looked at it. tried to reboot and it goes to google screen and right back into recovery. I tried to just reflash a rom to get back into it but it cant find any files when i go to instal a zip. It's like not sensing the memory of the phone or something.
I'm trying not to need to factory reset if possible but it's seeming like i'm going to have to. It won't find any of the previous backups either.
It just randomly did this. Its been running aokp b38 with no problems for a few weeks now and its just randomly doing this.

fastboot cwm again, reflash your rom (formatting /system before)

So I would connect it to the computer and redo it using the wugfresh kit? (That's what I used to unlock and root) I'm not very good with fast boot stuff.

Problem with getting into recovery!

Okay guys..First I would like to say that I am an avid viewer here and am pretty addicted to this site and come here everyday. Quick question though to anyone that can help me out. Today I decided to upgrade my Miui Rom on the Incredible 2. After it downloaded I went into recovery to install the new rom but forgot to wipe cache and dalvik cache. Next, after it booted up to boot animation it immediately went into bootloops over and over again and would not get past it no matter how long I waited. Finally, I turned off my phone and went into recovery and here's the kicker. I updated the radio previously, left it on my sd card, and when I went I tried to get to recovery all it does is update the radio again then tell me to reboot the phone, which it will not reboot. Is there anyway anybody knows how to delete the radio update from my sd card? or anyway around this so i can access recovery? Thanks in advance.

What you wanna do, is take out the SD card, and boot into bootloader. Scroll down to recovery and right as your splash screen comes up, put it back in. Once recovery comes up, you should be good. It happened to me that's why I know. Lol

No problem dude. Anything I can do to help. I'm new myself, and I figured if I can help find a problem and a solution that means I'm getting somewhere lol.

AOKP B30 Bootloop, wipe doesnt help

Hi!
Downloaded and clean flashed AOKP B30 and gapps, came from M4. Got into a bootloop. Went into recovery, wiped, still bootloop. Pushed an original image to the phone via Gnex Toolkit. Still bootloop!!
Now I have no idea what to do....
Please help!!
CWM cant find my sdcard either it seems!
If I try going into stock recovery, I get an android with a triangle.
Step 1: Take a deep breath. Your device is fine (although your data is probably gone).
Recovery cannot find /sdcard because there is likely an issue with your data partition, where /sdcard resides. The best thing to do is flash the stock images again. I recommend you do it manually so you can actually see what you are doing, instead of using a toolkit. Follow this procedure and you will be fine. And flash back CWM. (The android you are seeing with the red exclaimation point IS the stock recovery. To access the menu from there, repeatedly press volume up and power until you see the menu.)
Thanks for your help, but it seems the problem was that the phone was connected to the computer. So I probably just flashed stock and wiped my sdcard for nothing. Since everytime it bootlooped, the computer tried to install a driver.
I feel stupid.

Bricked gnex and I'm well out of my depth. HELP PLEASE!

Hello,
I had a problem I posted about earlier and I had no replies, so I stupidly tried to fix it myself. Here's the original post
"I'm in a bit of a pickle. I'm running gummy 1.0, and I was just messing around with the lockscreens that are native on the rom, and I changed back to the stock ics one and now my phone won't unlock without rebooting. As soon as I Hello, touch the padlock it restarts.
This would be no more than a minor inconvenience if I hadn't recently had to wipe my SD card due to memory issues (and after forgetting to add any new backups and any rom zips). So I cannot reinstall a back up or reinstall the rom from recovery. I've tried putting a rom back onto the SD via usb but the phone connects as a media device and the computer won't sync. hmm"
I've just done the factory reset from adb and now the phone is stuck in a bootloop. When I start fastboot it says "downloading do not turn off target!!" What in God's name have I done?!
I know this is totally my fault for trying to fix something when I'm in well out of my depth, but I'd really appreciate some help.
Thanks
James, the idiot
First thing I'd suggest is downloading the GNex toolkit located here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310
To re-flash CWM to be on the safe side, then use the adb push feature to push a rom .zip onto the phone. Then boot into CWM and re-flash it.
See if that works.

That sounds about right.
Boot to bootloader, flash CWM, boot to recovery, adb push a new ROM to /sdcard, flash ROM, profit.
Hello and thanks for your reply!
It was the Gnex toolkit that I was using, and without it I would be even more lost!
I'm not sure if you're some good omen or something but just as I read your reply, after leaving the phone in a bootloop for about 10 minutes, it just started up by itself!
Hopefully this is the end of my problems
Thanks again for your reply!

[Q] Stuck on boot logo, no matter what??

Ok, so I flashed a MIUI port for the AT&T Note 2, and it was disgusting...it crashed everything, and needless to say I ended up stuck at the boot logo for a long time. FINALLY managed to get it to flash via Odin...so I flashed Stock Rom...and now it's stuck on Samsung logo...Ok..so I go flash CWM...do a wipe and everything, and install CM10.1 via that...stuck at CM logo. I've left each ROM plugged in, stuck on boot screen for over 20-30 minutes each. I'm at a loss of what to do. Could I need to flash a kernel? or am I missing something obvious? The good news, I guess, is with a few steps, I can get into DL mode and use Odin, and I can flash CWM and get into that..but I can't inject anything into my phone so CWM can use it, I only have what's there now, which is CM10.1. I'm so mad...I've never had too many issues with ROMs but this one jacked things up badly...guess that's what I get for using a port even though it noted that everything was working now. Anyway...does anyone have any advice?
Edit: I flashed CWM, and tried to clear cache/dalvik then factory reset...the first two worked...as soon as I hit factory reset, that's where the screen goes black and it resets...it's like it just refuses to do it. I'm seriously at a loss here. Is it toast?
Edit again: sorry but I'm trying more to give more info. I went into CWM and went to advanced and started formatting one by one...it's when you hit format /data that it immediately dies and restarts. So..something weird is going on there. Can I use a PIT file for this phone, if it exists, to reformat and just get it going? I'm desperate...

Follow directions and Odin back to stock.

[Q] Semi-Borked?

Hi all, pretty much a phone noob hoping to get some help. I'm probably gonna write a book but I want to provide as much info as possible...
My D710 had been working fine running rooted GB27. I decided to flash the "Not Now" rom. Seemed simple enough and very straightforward...
After flashing I got stuck in a boot loop. Read up on how to get out of boot loop and reflashed selecting wipe and Fix Permissions.
No help, still boot loop.
Went back to recovery mode and I have stock recovery instead of AGAT. The little android dude is laying on his back with a red triangle coming out of his gut.
After ****ing around some I decided to try wipe/factory reset.
Phone booted! YAY! The Not Now rom is installed (I guess). Phone looks different but most of my apps come back and the phone works (Calls, text, apps run) It seems a little flakey though and the whole thing feels pretty sketchy given how I got here.
I decide I should really flash back to stock and then see what I want to do from there. and now the fun begins:
I can't get into Odin mode
I can't get my computer to see the phone as a storage device. The drivers load and 2 new removable drives show up but neither is accessible.
From the Shut Down menu I have an option for Boot Loader. I selected it and it looks like it's in Odin Mode but Odin doesn't see the phone.
So I have a functioning phone that seems shaky. I'd really like to load a stock ROM again and get it more stable. I'd appreciate if anyone has advice about how I can fix the USB issue (buy a new phone?)
Thanks
John

You need to check "USB Debugging" in the setting mode. I am not on TW so I can't tell you the exact spot. Once that is selected, It should be good to go. You need a custom recovery. I would suggest Philz recovery or AGATs. You will need to wipe data, cache, dalvik.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I did manage to restore a backup so I'm back where I started (rooted GB27) prior to screwing around with Not Now.
I'm considering trying to go to Villuminati by following these steps:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48979264&postcount=770
I've got AGAT recovery loaded now so I think that I can skip the first couple of steps...

I don't have the specific locations, but you could do this a simpler way. You need to have these files on SD card.
1. Flash Philz recovery for D710 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2652286
2. Wipe Cache, Dalvik
3. "install" new ROM.
4. Flash Gapps
You should keep Philz on your SD card. It is the easiest way to flash ANY 4.4 ROM. If you want to use the ART, go to developer options and scroll all the way down. Select ART, let the phone reboot. Once it reboots, turn it off for about 1 minute. Turn it back on. You can not use ART with Xposed. They do not like each other. DO NOT USE PHILZ TO MAKE A BACKUP!. Use the recovery that came with the ROM. Only use Philz to flash. Let me know what happens. Before you do anything, make a backup first.
Thanks. I may give this a try tonight.
Thanks for your help.
I've got Viluminati running! Amazing as I was pretty sure I had bricked my phone a few days ago
