[Q] rooting of xperia arc s

Hi, another noobie question, I am going to buy the xperia arc s , can it be rooted and over clock like the one I did on my current xperia arc? Is the whole process from root to flash EXACTLY the same? Most importantly, can doomlord's #10 be installed too?

Re: [Q] Does Xperia S kernels work on Xperia SL?
Yes but unless it's an overclocking kernel you'll run @1.5 ghz
And read the all you need to know bit in the S development forum, it shows you how to fastboot a kernel with cwm etc and is just a very useful read

You can't OC when you have locked bootloader, you have to unlock bootloader, flash custom kernel then you'll be able to OverClock higher.

This topic is not about overclocking.
He has Arc S, which should have stock CPU frequency of 1.4 GHz, however new ROM set it to 1.0 GHz.
To OP: When installing the ROM, did you install the Arc S version?
. Arc S, Non unlockable, xperia Honami Z1 rom by Saqib. Ask for anything else....
Flashed through cwm. also tried to reflash stock and than the Honami rom, I also got this when using the Ultimate HD rom.
Someguy theres just one version for both..

Hi guys! I'm sorry, my question may be strange, but I'm not powerful in a questions about firmware.

How can I install CM on my device? Or can I install firmwares of the Xperia Acro S? Becouse docomo latest version is 4.0.4 and Acro S latest is 4.1. I would be have custom firmware.

you can only install stock based JB 4.1.2 from Xperia Acro S and it is a little bit risky.. you can brick your phone.. CM roms requires unlocked bootloader.. :/
