ICS for Arc available in Singapore handsets? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, would like to ask if ICS is already available for Arc handsets in Singapore?
I'm planning to re-lock my Arc's bootloader coz I'll be handing it over to another young family member and in future so they can update simply via OTA.
Would love to give it if ICS already available here now.
TIA
EDIT:nevermind, did the re-lock and updated now to ICS

R800i 4.0.2.A.0.42 Trade Generic Germany, i need pls!!!

hi all
You see the titlle, i need the *.ftf R800i 4.0.2.A.0.42 Trade Generic Germany
Thanks
Another question?
Wich one of *.ftf is the latest ROM for Xperia Play? the 0.69 or 4.0.1.A.0.283
Tx again folks
hmm, also looking for this one to root and OTA update to .69.
.69 is the newest one.
In another thread (german thread) someone flashed with Wontanserver.
With the client, you choose .42 and select german generic trade. Then you root
and choose OTA update to get to .69 with root.
Only disadvantage with Wotanserver is that you´ll have to pay for flashing through PAYPAL.
tx uncut
omg, i dont have credits fot that,
Does anyone have the *.ftf?
bump.
searching for 4.0.2.A.0.42 generic trader germany (2.3.4) as well

[Q] Bought Xperia arc S from Hong kong

Hi there,
Bought a xperia arc S from Hong kong. And saw that there is no Google store in it :crying !
It has ginger bread 2.3.4 and Build number 4.0.2.A.0.62.
I open the update thingy and it shows that I have the latest available update.
What should i do to get google store in my mobile?? I have read a few posts but most of the methods will void my warranty so is there a fail safe method which won't nullify my warranty?? :fingers-crossed:
upgrade to ICS... or if u want to stay on GB you need to flash a gapps.zip onto your phone via CWM

[Q] Need Telstra stock 2.3.4 FTF

I need to claim my warranty and I want to know if anyone can get me a stock Telstra .ftf for the xperia play? thanks
Some people still had warrenty after 2.3.4 .42 uk rom(or whatever firmware you have). Try that or find someone that have a Telstra Xperia Play and ask if he/she can rip off the rom from Sony Ericsson update service aka Seus

[Q] Just bought a xperia S, bl not unlockable. any thoughts?

Hello everyone, i recently bought a Sony Xperia S, not new, but almost .
Some history...
I came from an motorola atrix, then i bought an Xperia Play, then this Xperia S and it feels a little strange with the locked bootloader .
So i went looking what i can do with this phone, i rooted it, i upgraded it to ICS, then installed cwm, then installed XZXperience, it looks very very good!!! i love it, but i really love the aosp look and i want to feel the full JB experience, not just a part of it =(...
Sadly the bl on my phone is not unlockable and simlocked aswell. I saw in other posts that if i ask for the simlock code it may or not make my bl unlockeable, that is true?, what i should do in order to get the bootloader unlocked? there is any hac-k or something like in the atrix is? if i call to the carrier, what should i ask them?, the bootloader unlock key ?
Thanks in advance, from A-R-G-E-N-T-I-N-A!!! i really like how this section of the forum is moving!!:good:

[Q] How to return to original "SI number" firmware?

My XPS is 1257-6713. I assume this is the number that means no brand italian version of the XPS.
I was wondering, how to return to the stock firmware that has the same number as my device? Is there any easy way to do it?

I'm locked and I never unlocked. Anyway, I did that many times, if I have the generic world firmware on and then repair, I will get a repaired generic world firmware, I won't get the italian firmware.
Sorry, I confused SUS with SPCC. So if I repair with SUS I will get the original firmware? Will try tomorrow and report back.

wait... u want the italian firmware??
i'm not really sure if update service can give it to u
u should find a .ftf file of the italian version then flash it into your XS with flashtool
(actually i cant really get y u bother getting the italian version)
I supposed u have rooted your phone and have CWM
if u still want to try update servcie
remember to back up things becoz using update service will wipe your stuff

It's probably not a big deal but I think there is a reason why they put those codes in there. Maybe there are small hardware differences between different SI numbers, I don't know. Maybe that's what's causing those weird bugs on JB for people who updated using flashtool? I remember hearing back when I had the Ray that this was the case, but maybe I heard wrong.
Anyway, the main reason why I wanted to be able to do this was because I'm considering selling the phone, and wanted to know how to return it to it's original stock firmware version.

I dont think it is related to the region
and seems Xperia S only have two version in hardware
The Japanese version known as Sony Ericson Xperia NX (which dont have NFC function) and the LT26i we are using
those jellybean bugs are universal too
actually, those people use flashtool are usually becoz the jellybean firmware are not yet released in their country so they can only be obtained with flashing the ftf file in flashtool

I used the flashtool as well as the official JB hasn't released here yet, apparently for Sony Italy doesn't exist, and if it does, it comes after freaking third world countries.
Anyway, what's the point of the SI number then, if all the XS phones are identical?

lol I know that feel bro, those update usually release first in America and Europe. Italy are not supposed to be the slowest one.
(Well, some says Hong Kong (where I'm from) is supposed to be one of the slowest, but seems not really true in major update.)
I think different SI number of a rom indicate which input languages it provide in the Xperia keyboard is the main thing.
For example, they dont think u need to type Chinese in Italy, so u may not find the Chinese keyboard in your rom.
And i just flash a .211 recently, which i dont know where region it is for. This rom is lack of the Chinese keyboard. I could only flash it myself with recovery.
Maybe not just language thing all the time, some more stock settings that may suit you a bit more.
BTW, not all XS are identical. When it just release in 2012, Xperia S is known to have the yellow screen problem. (When the device overheat, the screen will show yellow patches in some part. This is a minor hardware failure) But sony offer free repair for those devices then, which replace it with a better screen. We can assume that all repaired XS and newer XS are identical now.
