I found a cricket ZTE droid and the screen was locked does anyone know how to get into this phone.I was just thinking about rooting it and revolving and reinstalling the stock Rom because I don't think there's and custom roms for this phone.and what I mean by locked is you know when you choose like a 6-didit no that just locks the key pad so nobody can use it that what I'm talking about.

I don't know much about the phone or root or any of the cool things you could do to the phones .. I do know I own.one its rooted by using zerg root one click.. got cwm recovery on it from the app rom manager.. found a stock rom and another that I'm using called STRIPPED_blue custom mod.. and now I just put the v6 superchadger. And 3g turbocharger. In it got those from xda and used script manager to script them.. phone is running great!! Way better than I could expect this. Little memory phone to run.. thank you to all the developers who put their. Time and dffort to make all these awesome things to tweak our phones.. very happy with what I got! Thanks guys!!
I have a custom rom loaded up on my x500. Lemme find where I got it. I'll get back to you.

My wife has that phone and she's tired of low space does the custom Rom cut out some of the un needed clutter?

I found the link for the custom x500 rom. I am using it right now and it works well. You must partition your sd card in order to take full advantage.
It is all explained Here
The link you posted goes to bbcode.org nothing relating to the rom

you should really do that so if it works, we can try it out too, but if not, oh well
Downloaded and installed. Disabled logging in superuser. Opened the app. Say's device isn't supported and would close. No go and sorry for my rude comment made earlier.
Although in the wrong section this is really a great idea and I hope a dev will see this and fix it for our phones. Thanks

this dual boot app actually would of been really good for experimenting and comparing different roms so you know which one you want
but its too bad it doesnt work
I actually want more than one rom on my phone. To be able to switch them quickly would be incredible. I'm letting some devs know about this.
I can just see it now. Run sense today. Aw no I feel like running cm

If you have an unlocked bootloader....then NO CHANCE!!!!And if you have S-OFF.......maybe
I tried it with boot manager lite an i have an unlocked bootloader...didnt work
If it works like virtualization on PCs, this could be very handy app , but those kind of things takes up a lot of CPU and memory, so someone S-OFFed could try it
well i recently got a g2. it is currently unlocked but i want to get it rooted too. will the rooting affect the status of it being unlocked? it is tmobile branded so i am guessing it will unlocked by typing in a special code? thanks. also how can i root the phone? just send me a link. i am experienced in rooting as i have a rooted epic 4g and also my girlfriend galaxy 2.
No rooting and unlocking are two seperate things and don't affect one another. Not @ a computer so just google the link try "htc g2 root wiki" will be one of the first hits I'm sure. Read first make sure you understand, having said that its safe and easy

lol.
you are the guy who did knew about rooting and stuff..
1. rom = OS a.k.a android
2. cwm = is the name of a custom recovery
3. you've just answered yourself at number 2 with this.
4. the best developers gathered under one roof which is called Cyanogenmod. They make Android OS'es. Search on google, they have a website.
5. Kernel is like the motor of the OS. Without it, the rom will not start.
6. stock means default. if it refers to stock rom it means the OS that came with your phone untouched by you in any way.
7. nandroid backup performs a backup as per the name, of your current rom.
Quick reply.
1. A ROM is the operating system of your phone... Like windows xp is to a computer. you can change this and try different ones.
2 & 3. Is a Recovery from there you can do functions that are necessary to flash ROMs Kernels and even backup your phone
4. A ROM made from the released source code from google... All Vanilla which means that it doesnt have the HTC overlay.
5. A Kernel is the underlying software that communicates with the hardware of the phone in this case
6. Stock means that it has not been modified.
7. A Nandroid is a function that is incorporated into the Recovery it allows you to backup the system in your phone so you have the possibility of recovering it at some other time.
You have a lot of reading to do... The learning curve is steep; start climbing
Thanks man,but from where can I get all of these information about the meanings of these words so I can understand them more deeper

Probably better to point him to the original link...
Dictionary for n00b - What is.../What does ...mean?
As to the antennas, the body is metal so they have to put the antennas behind the plastic parts so that the radio signals can get through. The only solution is to change your grip so that you don't cover the bottom of the phone.
For some reason I cannot transfer any files between my phone and computer. Assuming Windows.... XP or Win 7?
Make sure you have the driver installed. Google Search for Samsung Galaxy S3 drivers. You should be able to download it from Samsung's website.
The file should be called:
ATT_I747_GSIII_Samsung_USB_Driver_v1_4_6_0.exe

Well this is my wife's phone, so I'm not too familiar with too much. I used Odin to inject root... It was pretty straight forward. Don't remember where I got it from though? Can some point me to the right place to get Odin and its drivers? Sorry for the noobness, this is the first time I've been in these threads. I'm having the same exact issue. Only time I can get it to work is when i mount the FIRST time after a CLEAN install. Then it ceases to work thereafter (after disconnecting). Not sure why this is...

On any rom? That blows bro. Oh well I'll keep trying stuff.. one last question before I'm whisked away back to OneX threads.. she's interested in kyans Rom. But wants overclock.. I read a bunch of people running ktoonsez kernel... Is that kernel flashable seperately? Or would I have to use his aokp along with the kernal

Yes ktoonsez fernel are flashable seperately and this kernel is awesome. I've been using it for a while now and no problem at all. allow steps from 96mhz to 2106 mhz adding a lot of battery life!
you can find it there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776
be sure to use the good one for your rom!

There are many options for the at&t branded s3's. Just check out the Android development and original android development forums. Roms range from touchwiz based to more custom source code based. Know what you're doing before you flash and make sure to only flash a rom for your device (not i9300, etc)

Shouldn't have too many issues as you would just need have the straight talk APN to use.
Really take your pick and look around and see what you like
Thanks for the input. I'm familiar with flashing roms. I've been using a rooted inspire 4g for 4 years now. The touch wiz. Is all new to me though because I love sense Roms.
The reason I asked about two roms is because I saw a mod in the forums with an aroma installer that would make quick work of themeing my gf's phone all pink.
She gets a kick out of me rendering my phone useless after a vigourus bout of themeing but I don't think she would find it that funny if it was her phone out of cammition while I restored a back up
