tons of apps for that on the market, apps2sd, TI, etc etc
I'll give ti a try because apps2sd will only move files to the internal SD card, thanks.

Let us know if it actually moves it to the external sd. I assume that's what you want. Because most of them go to sd, but since our phone has the internal as sdcard, it goes there.. And if apps don't break after a reboot.. Because that's why, allgamer or someone else has link2sd so stuff won't break. But I still get apps missing after rebooting using that app

When I went to copy a rom to my sdcard, it said my card was full. I figured it was because of old nandroid backups, so I deleted them, but the sd card space has actually gone down instead of freeing up space.
???
I'm baffled. Anyone know how to fix this?
What size sd card and where did you get it?
It is the one that came with my Incredible.

Is it possible to delete everything from my SD card and start new? It's saying there is 1.8gb total, but only 28mb available.
Or can I flash roms using my phone storage?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
You can just format it (FAT32). Backup what you need. And maybe store stuff on the internal storage. You have to use the SD card for ROM's etc.

How can I take advantage of my 32 GB micro sd card? I have quite some large games taking up all the internal space. But I want to install more.

I already did all of them except moving apps to sd. I'm on darkside ROM, so the internal storage is mounted at /sdcard, while sd card is mounted at /sdcard/external_sd

Internal is sdcard, external is SD. That is the way that TW roms are.

No dis, but I know what I'm talking about. I'm running a TW ROM. Jedi mind trick to be exact. If the app info says "Move to SD card" Then it's on the phone. If it says "Move to phone" Its on the SD card. Here is example B

I cant speak for any other ROM as i haven't used any other than AOKP but it works fine for me with my 16GB class 10. I would venture to say it also works on most of the ROM's out there...personally speaking, and i think im probably in the majority here, no external SD would be a deal breaker.
EDIT: According to some (very) quick research its possible it may simply be that your SD card is in a format not readable by CM. Try formatting the SD to FAT32 and see if it works.
Oah thanks.. I will try doing it Nd will surely let you guys know

Move what to the sd exaclty? Also what size card do you have, i've seen somewhere there are detection issues with the larger capacity cards.

So, the external is working now? And you are trying to move something to it? Sorry but you are not elaborating much on what is going on.
Yeah... I wanna moved and save the apps in external sd card.... No, the sd card is not working. How do you save your apps in your sd card when you download something from app store Or like if you want moved it to sd card which is already in internal memory

Well there are several option to move apps to sd. Of course this isn't going to work until you figure out why your sd card isn't being recognized. There is a possibility there could be a problem with your external slot...have you tried any other sd cards?
Are you able to able to save your apps on external sd card...

Now that you mention it i can't..although i really wouldn't want to. Every time i've done it in the past it has causes problems. I'm not sure if this is isolated to AOSP based roms or if it's got to do with the way the external sd is accessed.
i just installed cm10 on my galaxy r and was wondering with the same doubt.
while opening randomly the folders in the root, i found that /emmc is the location of external sd card.. :victory:

Hi I'm having problems with moving my apps from internal storage to my sd card seems titanium backup does it but the apps are still on my internal storage I also tried rOM Toolbox pro and same result I'm trying to figure out why my apps won't move to my sd card since my internal memory is being all used up I can't download more . Also the apps in the playstore don't work either

there is an app called "APP BACKUP AND RESTORE". Download this app on your old phone. Open the app and transfer all desired app onto your SD card. Next, install the same app on your new phone. there is and option to restore all apps from SD card to your new phone. I've done this and it took about 10-15 minutes (depending on how many apps you are trying to transfer). HOPE THIS HELPS

The newer Samsungs are different in how they handle the SD card. They have their 2 GB internal memory, and therefore see the 16 GB internal memory mistakenly as the "SD card". Your actual SD card is mounted as a different partition altogether.
Someone help me out with this, but I don't think the standard App2SD will work because of this design. Somewhere out there is a mod that allows you to fake swap your internal memory with your SD card, but I've never tried it. I don't run a lot of huge applications so I haven't run into the issue, just seen it around.
Hopefully some searching will help with what I mentioned above or someone else can chime in with more experience.

Yep. Thats your internal. Put an SD in there and you get another set of graphs showing the SD storage capacity. And notice it says USB storage instead of SD storage.
