What ROM do you use? I think the system file system is error. Try to format system and try to mount system.
Does the phone boot normally still?
Can you still make a nandroid backup? Ore use the dd and sow on command to backup the system par.?
Maybe check the pernission with root explorer? Do you still have root? I could change root with one of the ext4 roms.
Maclaw helped me, I formatted system and indtalled cm9

1. unlink all apps
2. uninstall link2sd
*backup data
3. reformat your sdcard
4. search for a link2sd guide here & do as directed
i cant understand what u r sayin ....
i think you mean to say that your Sd card files are not showing ?
But when you view with link 2 Sd then its showing there right ?
I think u need to backup your Sd card in PC then u need to format your Sd card in fat 32 using you're phone not in PC .... Then restore your files via USB cable from PC ....
and also do a wipe data /factory reset in stock recovery

link2sd cannot mount its scripts on stock roms!! That's why you cannot view the 2nd partition!!
@leodasal2
No buddy.... I'm using link2sd on stock rom... And it's working awesome.
I think he doesn't have problem with ext partition but the fat32 partition
This happened to me once your sdcard must be failing, you better backup your data before it says format unable to read device

Ya I'm on stock kernel as in signature, and I can create link also.
No problem at all.
Im also on stock Rom& stock kernal and link2sd is working perfect for me....
but i had these problems before....
I experimented many times by relinking and recreating mount scripts...but the problem came once in a while.
But after that i've backed up the .apk s and cleaned up the second partition and cleared data(settings-applications-manage-link2sd-clear data button) and now again used link2sd, created links and now the mounting problems are over! hoo....
Try formatting your sdcard,
Backup first in your pc, or delete your ext partition using minitool partition or easeus partition, make it (your sdcard) empty , copy paste cwm to your sd, and flash it via recovery , goto Advanced n then choose Partition SD Card . Hope this help..
Also, if its not working again, try deleting "content holder" or something like that, on /system/sd . Use root explorer (recommended) .

Hi, I managed to root my phone a few days ago 1 of the reasons I did this was being able to move/install to external sd card. I have a few apps (app 2 sd pro, x-plore and astro) but cant seem to find any options to move files/apps to external sd. Does anyone know of an app that can do this or any info on how to do it with the apps I have. Thanks.
Well, actually i don't "move" them to external sdcard since my 16GB microsd IS my internal sdcard so i can play big games and etc. You just need a modified vold.fstab
Check out my dropbox folder and download the modified version
http://db.tt/iY3uYjRZ
Then flash the zip using custim recovery

Then how did you have root if you don't have an unsecure kernel/recovery?

Problem solved. Moderators can delete this thread.
Try getting other ext sd card or if no much data in existing format with pc and check if it works
Get jig to enter in download mode.

It get to recovery only becouse you don't have any kernel now becouse you have erased. When you are in recovery you can use adb to mount sdcard and to push another rom and then flash. Also in recovery use the advance menu to get your sdcard mount on pc .if you have working recovery than you can do pretty much everything.

I just rooted my s2 TMobile t989 and I am trying to complete a backup of my current stock Rom before flashing... here's the thing I cant a cant mount error unknown file...using Rom manager... flashed current Rom completed... also I show in my restores that I have one saved which I don't trust its in my internal card under clockworkmod not external... is there a way to just do manually in cwm recovery and if so when I hit back up there's plenty if options if I wanted to back it up to my external sd card which one would it be? I get sdcard(0) and sdcard (1)...basicly long story short...what's the good way to backup avoiding the unknown path file mount error? Sorry def a noob here
