First I am sorry if this has been covered before. Im trying to mod a few apps and change colors and headers but when I try to install them , I get application not installed . Is there something I need to do before I install ?? Thanks to all that help.
Once you change the file it fails. You have to sign then flash the file through recovery. Search the forums for info, as i don't have it sorry.
im on easydoesit v2.2 and im having trouble mounting in root explorer...if i reboot enough times i can get it to mount but the files that i delete or add don't save...
for example...im trying to delete apex launcher since i have go launcher...when i delete the apk it says file deleted...but when i click refresh it comes back
is this a problem specific to the rom or are others having the same problem on other ICS roms?
if anyone knows how to fix this please help
thanks in advance
I had some odd Superuser issues on Raver's ROM, so I flashed Wrathdu's latest Superuser binary and it seems to have fixed that. Search for Wrathdu or Zeppelinrox, he posted it too

is this the exact one? want to make sure its the correct one for our phone model
Hey guys, I am using 'FactoryROM' and when I switched from 320dpi to 241 dpi (went through steps 1-5 properly mutliple times), there are alot of apps missing from the play store, even when I switch back from 241 to 320 and go through steps 1-5, it still happens. I really dont want to re-flash the ROM. I have also tried clearing cache and dalvik-cache, and fixed permissions before rebooting and still had apps missing from the play store (such as usps mobile, and script manager), along with force closes from apps that were already on my phone before changing the DPI
(If I missed any details please let me know so I can help you help me. Haha)
Anyway, my question is, is there a fix that is available, and is this a possible bug? I want to thank you all in advance who will help me, and apologize in advance if this has been asked.
Edit: solved it myself
Hi. Since you added (solved) tag to your thread's title, it would be nice to share how you did at the top or at the end of the first post. Someone reads the title, they will be looking for the solution as well. The rest of us will just ignore it.

You're right. Sorry,
I uninstalled the play store, rebooted to recovery. Wiped my cache twice along with the dalvik-cache (twice), flashed the 4.2 Gapps again, cleared my cache and dalvik again. Fixed permissions, and rebooted . Problem solved

I attempted to flash a .zip patch to remove the QSlide Apps part of the notification drop-down menu, and since then I've been getting constant messages of "System UI has stopped" and the status bar does not show at all. Tried a factory reset on the phone itself but to no avail. Going to attempt to flash system stock ROM from a .zip ... any other suggestions / advice???
Thanks in advance

Why do you guys keep flashing things without making a backup first?! Unfortunately there is no other way for you to get back to working order; you have to LGPST back to stock. Next time make a backup if you're going to flash ANYTHING.

I had something simpler happen with exposed framework, my status bar would disappear then I would get an error "system UI has stopped" . Just un installed all modules and removed exposed. Not sure if you are using exposed. But that's how I fixed mine.
When the f*ck did we get ice cream??
Can a mod move this to the Q&A section please before it gets out of hand. Not flaming you bro but we as a community need to keep things in order and post where we are supposed to post. Don't worry we've all posted in the wrong section a time or two.

You dont need to flash the whole thing just overwrite LGSystemUI.apk with the original one I attached, set correct permission and reboot.
You should backup any file you decide to change first..luckily the phone will still boot with a bad systemui apk
Hopefully that fixes it, hopefully what he flashed didn't change any other files outside of Systemui.

Thanks for the apk and sorry about posting in the wrong forum at first.....
How exactly should I go about installing the new apk though? When I used Package Installer it keeps saying "Application not installed" and doesn't run. Sideload Wonder Machine or something equivalent maybe? I had a tough time today with setting up LGPST so I'd like to save that as a last resort if possible.... Thanks for the responses though!
Never mind....figured it out. Forgot it had to be pushed over.... Needless to say I need to spend some more time around Android! It's been a while since I first got in the game.
Status bar is back up and running, and it even maintained removal of the QSlide Apps portion, which is what I was trying to fix all along -- my original screw up! All's well that ends well I guess.
Thanks all for your help! :good:
