Does anyone know how to make the notification/status bar transparent? I am running Calk's FE22 v1.6 and the pulldown is already transparent but I would like to make the top black bar transparent as well so the wallpaper covers the entire screen. Anyone help? Thanks - TD

Also, if you're using Go Launcher, you need to enable High Quality Drawing in Preferences/Advanced or it won't work! I already posted the transparent notification bar mod somewhere in Calkulins' v1.6 ICS thread.

I'm looking to get my notifications bar transparent. Not the pulldown, but the actual bar. i found one .zip that was a couple months old that worked, but it wouldnt work with circle battery and no loc, and i dont know how to compile the three of those into the framework (or whatever) myself. does anyone know a relatively simple way to get my notifications bar semi or fully transparent (50% or 75% or 100%). thanks!

Im refering to the top black bar where the clock and battery are
woops sorry it was getting late, misread, umm, as far as I know I'd find a theme that has it, we have a few made for the Inc. riptide is another theme for the evo I think that has it you can use the framework-res.apk .pngs to make the things you want transparent.
I've been searching the forums all afternoon looking for a way to change the notification bar on the synergy ROM to flat black with gingerbread icons. Or even just flat black with stock icons if that isn't possible. Does anyone know how this can be done?

I just added a flat black and grey theme... just go to the link in my sig
all the status bar icons and stuff and even notification things are in systemui.apk in /system/app in gingerbread. just modify whatever you want.
Alright, I just got a hold of CM7 for my Incredible 2 and wanted to know how I can get a 50% transparency status bar. I looked all over, even in that Meizu theme thread (or whatever it's called) and I still can't find out how to do it. Can anybody please give me a quick tutorial? Please?

it isn't a quite tutorial, inverting the status bar mean, that you need to change the .png of the status bar from black to whatever transparency you want, I use paint.net...
then EVERY status bar icon has a black background.. you need to change probably over 100 icons give or take to have it look correct other wise u will have a transparent staus bar with icons that have a black background.
I suggest using the UOT kitchen. much faster. and it should do this MOD for u, I'm not sure I've never used it but people seem to like it.
download the Metamorph app and search for "metamorph darkshade.zip". The darkshade.zip file will theme your notification pulldown for you. You'll have to do a battery pull after applying the theme but afterwards you'll be golden.
I've tried using metamorph but it does do anything for my Inc2 and I'm on CM7. Any help?

Hey guys... Can't post anywhere else yet. Anyone able to update Calks Deodexed FD24 with ICS status bar tweaks like in FD02? Loved the light theme with blue status bar icons and blue notification pulldown with transparent background... Thanks!!
Patience, I'm sure he's working on a custom rom right now. That was base stock for anyone to take and modify.
I think it was senior member JASE33 that made a flashable zip of themed status bar for FD02... It was perfect!
