(Q) best launcher for android - Galaxy Ace S5830 Themes and Apps

Wich is the best launcher for samsung galaxy ace ?
sory for my bad english

general section please

Depends on what u are going to use it for
Features:Go Launcher EX
Speed:ADW,Launcher pro
Smooth:Xperia Home
Good overall performance:Touchwizz (Only it lacks some features)
Please rather test them all and see for your self (Next time)

I'm going to say Go Launcher I've been using it for a while and it hasn't slowed at all, not to mention the speed and countless features. Its completely customisable and theres unlimited amounts of themes to choose from
Gotta be sent from my legendary Ace, Problem?

But it has high memory usage so it does have performance impacts on the rest of the phone.
It obviously depends on your tastes, for looks and speed I would recommend Holo launcher.

It uses less memory/ram usage as the default cyanogenmod 7 launcher (Aka ADW Launcher)
And if you still don't want to use it my second choice would be Xperia Launcher (Can be found in the galaxy ace Themes and Apps area)
Good luck on your search ^^

I'd have to say Touchwiz

Nemus
Nemus launcher would be an apt choice..
smooth, stable, no much customization option

I used GO Launcher, but I changed Holo Launcher, it is much faster.
Everyone I recommend this.

[Q] 3D App Drawer for stock Gingerbread Launcher>

I was just wondering if it was possible to make the 3D app drawer for the Gingerbread launcher work correctly for MDPI devices because I really like it as I have seen it on a friends G2. If anybody could make this work with the stock Gingerbread launcher I would be eternally greatful. Edit: (BTW I am on CM7 latest nightly)
Update: This is what it looks like from the stock:

You can use Launcherpro or adw ex and dress them up like Launcher2 and then you get the 3D effect. Or you can google launcher2(android's actual launcher as seen on vanilla) and install that. Make sure the L2 is gingerbread and not the froyo version.

Well I find ADW to be a terrible launcher so I use a modified stock from Market.

Yeah could you send me the link to it because I can't seem to find it in the SDK and how would I go about pushing it in ADB?

You sir, are an idiot. ADW has more configurable options than any other available launcher. If you are speaking only about the animations, then yes, the free version sucks, but the only $2 ADW Ex launcher fixes all the laggy animations, and adds 8 more screen effects for transitions. Easily the best launcher out there.
You must be high. It's okay, I won't judge.

If you just use the vanilla launcher, you won't have 3D. The vanilla launcher is almost the same as the ones on the market. They are 2D for mdpi, and 3D for hdpi. Google never released drawables for the 3D launcher for mdpi.
You sir are flaming, and clearly I know EX has more customizations as I bought it and have used it all through my CM6 days I just like the stock launcher jeez.
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using XDA App
Launcher Pro works well enough.
I mean, I haven't used the stock one, but I would think you could get it to be very similar.

Which launcher is better?

I know there three launchers i know there GO Launcher ,the ADW and the stock senes ... i am run on the Gingerbread evo deck rom
Personal preference really. I prefer Launcher Pro out of all of them
Sent from "Deebo The Evo" via XDA premium
I use launcher pro.
AdwEX since it launched!
Sent from my PC36100
Preference aside i.e. Interface etc. Which uses less system resources namely battery and is more stable? I'm personally on deck's latest build always and tiamat 4.0.5. I'm a noob to forum posts but have been reading since I got the evo in April.
P.s. Love the forum, devs and android community as a whole. parting with iPhone was easier than I thought.
Thanks
GoLauncherEx is the best for me.
I've messed around with ADW, but I didn't see any real advantage using that over the launcher that's built into Deck's newest ROM.
Are there any solid advantages with using a launcher?
i use launcher pro
If you're looking for something light on resources, use Zeam. Customization is minimal, but the launcher uses much less power than others.
Personally, I prefer ADW Ex. I bought it when it first came out, before that I used the regular ADW and LauncherPro Plus. I switched back to LPP for almost a month not too long ago, but missed the hidden dock & screen moving/deleting in ADW and switched back. I never cared for any of the Go apps.
(from... Evo/MIUI/Tapatalk)
Though it doesn't have some of the features of the others, I've always found Launcher Pro to feel snappier than the others. Heck, try 'em all, they have free versions.
launcher pro here. love the widget integration and scrollable dock. These features might be available on other launchers but I'm happy so I've never looked into it.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I agree with try them all. It's truly a matter of taste. It's sorta like asking which ROM is the best one.
That being said, I personally like GO Launcher. The level of customization really is everything I could ask for.
I switched to launcher 7.....I'm smitten <3 (CM7 under the hood)

I have always used LauncherPro Plus. I love the sizable widgets and the facebook widget is awesome!
Launcher pro is nice... but I really love the zeam launcher.

Gotta give another vote for LauncherPro Plus! I was on Go Launcher for a couple of weeks, but as soon as I switched back I noticed how much faster and smoother LPP is. Try it, buy it.

Best Visually looking Launcher for Android ?

hi to all,
there is a lots of launcher on android market. I just want the best visual looking Launcher ?? anyone can help !!
As far as i know .. Go launcher is the best looking ??
Depends on what you define a visually the best. Go is more polished than ADW or Launcher Pro. But the last 2 can be customized more with themes, although Go is catching up really fast. Then you have SPB Shell 3D, which I think is the best looking, but personally I like the Go experience more all together.

Go is great for themes and such, different ones released all the time and often free. ADW and vtlauncher share a base but go completely different directions. ADW is closer to go and vtl is really good if your a landscape lover. More functions than looks though.
DxTop is one I thought looked slick (enough so I remember the name and have been considering jumping to it. Oh and zeam launcher. There was one I found and I swear it was CClauncher but its gone from market or, and more likely, I have the name wrong. I have GO as fallback but the only way you'll find what appeals to you is through trial and error imo
There is endless choice and all appeal to different folk for different reasons.

[Q] I need a new launcher...

Hello fellows XDA members! I've been hitting the Googles looking for a new launcher and all I've found is outdated articles or links to the same old stuff. I currently use Regina 3D and I love it, but I think it may be time for something different. So I've come to the XDA community to ask about your experiences and preferences when it comes to these kinds of things. I've already tried a few out (ADW, LPP, Go), but I'd rather hear from actual users on the Incredible pertaining to usefulness, eye candy, and performance.
Thanks in advance!
In a nutshell:
Launcher Pro for best usability
This launcher is the most responsive, smooth one of the bunch.
Go Launcher for most features
While susceptible to slight lag when many Widgets are present, this launcher has LPP beat in terms of features.
Zeem for best performance
For the hardcore minimalist, Zeem flys on even the oldest hardware.
ADW for most options
While lacking features and the smoothness of other launchers, ADW packs the most user options for a highly personalized experience.
SPB Shell for best eye candy
Though quite pricey with questionable usability, SPB dazzles your homescreens with rich 3d effects.
Launcher 7 for best wp7 lookalike
A highly usable option, Launcher 7 directly mimics the love-it or hate-it metro ui present on the windows phone 7 os.
IMO
Sent from my Droid Incredible using the XDA app.
I used to use launcher pro, but switched to go launcher for their widgets and dialer. It does have a bit of lag in the app drawer, but not bad.

Cruise the "post your screenshots" threads...lots of inspiration there!
I'm currently using QQ Launcher and I like it. Gives you the option of running a Miui like locksreen and adding multiple apps to homescreen at once. Change the app drawer look. Its free too and I have a paid version of LPP
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
Check out Claystone. Different, just started using it today, it's free in the Market. Performance is good (Another Senseless ROM v1.0). Giving it a test run for a week. So far, I like it.
If you are into iOS try out espier launcher. Its free and running super smooth on my dinc
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I'm a Zeam kind of guy... no frills, but just what I need and smooth as silk
Thanks for all the great suggestions guys. I'm definitely gonna have to check a few of these out.
I highly recommend DXHome. It has a few quirks (sometimes it unintentionally enters edit mode while you're scrolling, the clock widget doesn't support US cities, rarely FCs and limited settings) but its seriously one of the smoothest I've used and has many extremely useful features that all other launchers lack.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
I'd have to say ADW Launcher. I've been using it since I first started using Cyanogenmod on my Incredible. Lots of themes and if your using Cyanogenmod 7 the theme Chooser is the greatest thing ever.

COURTESY OF ANDROID CENTRAL
It's a pretty decent launcher even though on touchwiz most widgets don't work.
Plus been in communication with the Dev since he first posted videos of his launcher, he said there would be public beta but just posted this paid beta.
He already said he would be looking into the widgets issue.
Let's see.

The bad thing about this launcher is the long list to scroll down if you have lots of apps.

Not really. Just click on the begiining letter of the app you want and it takes you there. The app is too minimal in features is my problem.
If the action bar and covers were added to something such as nova it would be the perfect launcher. IMO

I'm pretty well pleased with the Action launcher. Smooth and all the widgets I've installed worked well with no discrepencies at all. I think it is worth a try. I hope he follows with updates.
I really like the concept but features need to be added to make it a competitor.
It REALLY needs to expand the edges. If it would fix that I could see myself using it all the time. But as I use things like android pro widgets and wizz widgets, it just ruins it:
All that wasted space
However, I assume as he updates it more options will appear .
