I only seem to find threads for really nice thin cases for the GSM version
http://www.rearthusa.com/sprint_verizon_galaxy_nexus_slim.html
I have this on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus and it's awesome. Super snug, super light, adds almost no bulk. Yeah it's a bit expensive but it's 100% quality. Customer service is top notch too.
It even supports the extended battery from verizon.
I like it! What color do you have? Do you think the white will get dirty and nasty looking?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
I bought the matte black one for myself and the white one for my wife, I don't think the white one will get extremely dirty because its a gloss type finish. I like the matte black one though cause it has some grip to it compared to the white one

Ringke SLIM. The case feels like it is barely there. Not much for drop protection, but good protection for setting on desk, in car etc...
Edit: comma ...and using Verizon GN

Ringke SLIM, any color. They are all good.
(VZW GN)
Drop protection doesn't seem to be good by looking at the case, but I've dropped my phone on pavement a few times and they protected the phone well each time.

Has anyone tried out any of the Duo Shield cases yet?
They seem pretty sturdy since its both a hard and soft case. Also there nice and cheep on ebay:

Anyone know if there any good?
I just ordered the white/red one on Amazon for 11.64 with shipping. Ill reply back when I do get it.
looks cool, like a cheaper otter box case.
I'm also contemplating on which to buy. I like the Duo Shield and then this one

I have one. The black is a rubber piece that goes around the red plastic does a very poor job. It would not survive a fall high than 3 feet. It is very loose and comes off too easy. I will be returning mine. I am now looking for a white case and a good holster.

Wow after reading that I don't even wanna open mine when it gets here. My main concern was that it would be cheap & flimsy. I think it looks great but if it's a piece of poo I'll be returning it

Picked up an Incipio Silicrylic for my (GSM) Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Great form factor & snug fit for a Hybrid case. Its build quality is top notch as we've come to expect from Incipio. The case offers good protection & can handle most mid range impacts. I had a friend try it on his Sprint GNex and I must say that it wasn't a perfect fit. Even though most sites say it's compatible with the CDMA version.(It's NOT) but is capable of handling the extended battery for the GSM version.
Anymore pics from your phone? How's the silicone on the bottom part? Floppy? Sturdy? Does it collect much dust?
The silicon is actually pretty sturdy and it's not that prone to being ripped. I have all black version, and it collects dust like mad..
My Incipio Silicrylic with a SU vinyl decal. Loving this case so far.

Can anyone confirm that it can house the GSM extended battery?
it'll fit with the extended battery but it does leave a gap on the backside. I've had it since release day. the gap isn't very noticeable.

How much was it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
i just ordered the white/grey one straight from incipio and it was on sale for $17.99 and i got it in 3 days from CA to CT.
I have this case on the LTE verizon GN, and it works great.
I often use the official extended battery, though it is a somewhat tight fit for this case. As noted for the GSM extended battery above, it does push the bottom of the case out a bit, so there is a slight gap. Removing the battery cover will get rid of the gap, but I tend to leave the cover on and ignore the gap.
Anyone wanna buy mine? I like it but I'm changing to something else...might just go with a skinomi skin...$15... PM me if interested...

Thanks!

The lint attraction is pretty much non-existant. Gets an A+ on that subject. As for the screen protector Incipio includes with the case. It's terrible, very cheap. I actually threw it out. But the case overall is one of the best I've used and I've spent a small fortune looking for solid cases. Incipio has proven to be a great brand.

My friend has this on her Nexus. I felt like it made it too bulky for my liking. But it's definitely a great case that gives good protection.
I bought the grey and white one which i really like. To bad the black one would attrack dust and lint just by looking at it to hard!
My GF has this case on the Verizon GNexus and it fits really well. Well made and the smoother backing makes it easier to pocket. Silicone does collect some dust but since its so little surface area, its not that bothersome. It seems like it would really protect well but I'm not going to test that out!
Perseus by Trident
So, I ordered finally a trident perseus orange, looks good, have heard that doesn't give bulk to GNEX and provides light drop protection. In fact there is a discount at tridenteer.com 25% and free shipping in the US, I ordered it to Poland and payed 15$ with shipping over the ocean! Maybe I'll make some review after I got it
I currently have the Verizon incipio case and the seidio active. The Verizon case turned a gross color from my jeans and the seidio case attracts so much dirt and dust and pulls it all into the case that it actually scratched my phone. Is the ultra hybrid better on these aspects? I'd be getting the white one. I just don't want another case that actually pulls dirt into itself scratching the phone.

Hmmm paranoia I've been reading reviews that it doesn't even fit the vzw? Also idk if anyone can chime in on the longer term dust issue I really don't wanna buy my third $25 case and have another dust magnet messing my phone up.
Maybe I should look into an ultra capsule to avoid dust magnetic effect... Hmmm just need some feedback

Personally I got the sgp hybrid white one and right away was not happy with, I mean yeah it will fit on a CDMA version, but not perfect at all, were talking about that it feels like its gonna pop out of the case if you drop it or pull it out of your pocket.
I am a picky person and I didn't not like feel of it on my phone, of course I should of known that when. The seller stated is was only made for GSM version.
Since my experience with I wouldn't recommend it, speciality since its pretty pricey.
PS. Sorry for grammar

Sorry I didn't respond away bud, well after buying the sgp ultra case white, I should of learned my lesson but didn't lol.
I bought the Neo hybrid sgp white and I came out bad on my LTE Gnex in the end, it will fit with the standard battery but you will have to play around with it(stretching ). But the more time with it, it will get loose and you won't have a good feel. So regardless how sexy it looks, I recommend staying away from it.
I recommend the ringke slim extended battery case for a very slim feel and look (plus has covers for headphone jack and charging port)
And recommend the diztronic revision 3 tpu case which fits all around the case and has cutouts for everything.
Once again sorry for my grammar...

One of the best and most cost effective cases in my opinion for the GSM Galaxy Nexus.
The Amzer Hybrid Kickstand Case for the GSM Galaxy Nexus.
The Pros:
- Very Good looking. Gives that heavy rugged look to the phone.
- Offers good protection.
- Value for money. Costs only $10.
- Two piece case - Inner TPU Shock absorbing skin + Outer Polycarbonate Shell
- Well fitting, even with extended battery.
- Raised Lip provides protection for screen in case you leave the phone face- down
- Kickstand allows you to raise your phone at an angle to view videos or leave it on your desk as alarm clock. (A good perk)
The Cons
- The TPU Part gets dirty quite easily
- Adds some bulk to the phone.
My Youtube review:
its OOS in amazon, where did you get it from?
you can get it from amzers official website, link here: http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-Hybrid-Kickstand-Case-Black-Brown-P94209.htm

Hello,
ordered my S3 couple days ago. It haven't arrived yet, but...
I was using my HTC Desire S for two years. It dropped once from pocket height (due to loose pouch) and nothing happened.
I love the feeling of naked phone. No screen protector nor cases.
However, after browsing these forums, i have feeling, that s3 is the most fragile phone ever.
Do i need case ? I don't throw my phone at regular basis or drop them on floor. But do not want to loose my 500 € investment due to one unlucky moment.
I don't affraid of tiny scratches on my display or back cover. I just don't want my screen shattered.
What do you recommend ?
Its always nice just to have a case on your phone regardless. Like you said you just spent 500 bucks on it might as well spend a bit more to keep it safe.

Some kind of thin plastic, thin tpu, or some hardcore case like UAG or OTTERBOX ?
I will always recommend the uag its a nice well built case I also love the trident aegis its a cool protective case . I had the otter box commuter but the rubber got all stretched and crappy.

I'm very happy with Otterbox Defender which contains a screen protector and a belt holder.
I really like the look of UAG cases.
Probably will order one tonight.
Unfortunatelly i cannot decide between Black (Scout) or White (Navigator). I ordered black galaxy s3.
What color do you have ? Does it catch fingerprints or "oils" from hand ?
No its a matte finish so you can't see fingerprints on it. It also doesn't scuff easy either. As for color that really up to your preference I would go with black because it won't stain but then again its all up to what you want.

Better safe than sorry. Tgis phone is very slippery. I personally have to have a case for grip at all times. I have the zoogue at the moment and im loving it. Not much drop protection but it would protect some impact over no case at all. I have black uag and a white aswell. They are kinda slippery too but not as much. Stay away of the defender case, it will stretch and its ugly imo.
