Sync iTunes with Android - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I installed a program called iTuneMyWalkman that was supposed to transfer all my iTunes music over to my phone via usb, but instead of syncing, it deleted all the songs I already had on my external SD card!
WTF!!
Is there a reliable program out there that can do this?
Can Google Music do this?
Thanks!

Try DoubleTwist. But you may have to spend a couple bucks for some extra features.

I'll try it. I'm out of thanks for today though.

Also, you could give my app "iSyncr" a try. With it, you don't have to leave iTunes and move to another music player on your computer.
If you run into any issues with it, just shoot me an email using the app, I'm here to help!
Cheers!

I use your app isyncr and isyncr wifi. I can personally vouch that they work 100 percent and are very easy to use. I've even begun to use your music player. Thank you very much for your great apps. They are awesome.
To the O.P., use isyncr. Its worth the price and syncs everything from iTunes you could want.

Thanks, dude. I'll give it a shot!

Going to throw my hat in for iSyncr. Kicks a$$ and worth it. Grab the WiFi add on too also 'just works'. I've tried many, MediaMonkey Gold, DoubleTwist and others. This one rocks.

Could you tell me if isyncer worked for you? Things to help a friend with the same issue on his s3. Thanks!

[Q] Good iTunes Sync with Rooted Evo

Hello,
I have been looking around, but cant seem to find the answer to my seemingly unique situation.
I have rooted my evo using the Unrevoked Forever / ClockworkMod method.
In these instructions, it said to remove any sync software such as the htc sync or doubletwist.
I now want to be able to sync with iTunes, so what would be a good suggestion to do this? I liked the iPhone i had from work where when I synced, it would keep track of where i was in a podcast and go back to / start up from where i left off on the computer or on the device. This along with the management of my music would be great to have.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

TuneSync, in Market free version and paid version (worth $5 if you ask me)... But I'm pretty sure you're gonna get the "This belongs in Q&A section" from a few.

...expecting it
but with the all the rooting questions and such in here, I figure it may be a better place to ask.
The mod can move if it necessary.
If you're just looking for something that syncs, you may wanna try winamp. it pulls in tracks from your iTunes library, and has a ton of good functions. Plus, it syncs via wifi. I was looking for an iTunes sync, but when i came across it, i liked it better for the evo. Now, iTunes is relegated strictly to my iPod. Hope that helps.
I use isyncr.

Yep, it works. I've been using it for months now.
**Had no idea about WinAmp though. May try that one out. Thanks Uk!**
I use iTunes Agent and could not be happier with it. It loads all of my music in my iTunes library (including purchased songs) onto my Evo. Google iTunes Agent to find the download the program uses your computer and any music application on your phone. No root required.
Isyncr and album art grabber. It works wonderfully. I've been using it with my Evo since July
I'm using doubleTwist with AirSync (WiFi syncing add-on), works pretty well, and can access my music with the stock Sense player
I have heard Isyncr was good and iSyncher wifi, syncs wirelessly, if I am not mistaken.

+1 on this one.
iSyncer seems to work well, but it doesnt retain where in a podcast I am at when I pause and exit the application.
It also doesnt update the location I am at on the computer to the phone.
The podcasts are long that i listen to and would like to be able to stop it on my computer, sync, and then pick up on the phone in my car without having to fast forward to, or have to know, where i left off.

App i can upload my music and video to and stream off the app. Not from my pc.

I know about all the cool apps you can use to stream music and videos from your computer to your phone but i want an app that lets me upload my music and or videos to their server, so i can stream it from there. Any ideas?
Sync your files online and across computers with @Dropbox. 2GB account is free! http://db.tt/HKGxbaO
(I only get additional space from dropbox if you do it. So please do it)

So you want to stream music FROM your phone TO another device? Hmmm, not sure there is anything that will stream live from your phone. You mentioned dropbox, but that isnt live streaming. And with sprint's horrible 3g speeds, i doubt its even possible.

I don't even care if this is offtopic, but that Dropbox message is in the wrong place and is horribly annoying where you have it. Put it in your forum signature.
MeCanto will let you stream your music off their servers. Been using it for months, it's awesome. Not sure about the vids though.

don't know dude, I just liked the app so thought of sharing it...btw I found the app in xperia x10 forums
you have to be part of the beta before the app offers you the beta services.
Sign up on music.google.com
but you have to be in the USA...unless you...erm...use a proxy...or vpn... but I am not telling you to do that
It might take several weeks before you get your invite though.

I signed up to the beta and registered via a vpn but have been using it recently through my normal UK IP. It seems to be working pretty nicely so far
I signed up for the Beta the same day it was annouced/offered and didn't get my invite until June 2, so don't give up yet.
How is this one different than the android market version?
Im guessing for those outside the US, but thought I'd ask.

i have a few songs on my phone and also on my cloud that are the same.
is there any way to view only songs stored on cloud?
because i'd also like to keep some songs local.

Got it two weeks ago, uploaded almost 15.000 songs and mixes already. Pretty awesome, songs play almost instantly and completely load over 3g in like 10/15 seconds.
Can confirm you only need a USA IP for actually signing in and agreeing to music manager then installing the app.
After that your normal IP will work with it.
Currently uploading my tunes to it, and working well
Loads quickly via 3G as well, quite handy having access to your library from anywhere.
I don't think you need a USA IP at all. I requested an invitation with a Google Account where the country was set to "UK" and received one weeks ago. I sign into music.google.com using the same account in the UK and have no issues.
YMMV.
I am still trying to find out how I can let Google Music download the Offline content to my external_sd card instead of the internal.
Where is google storing those music files now? Any idea.
Was anybody able to set a song as a ringtone that has been put as offline content?

file manager for mac

Hello guys I need small help, what is the best file manager application for mac? o wanna transfer music videos and pics between GN and iMac
ta for helping
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
You don't need a file manager per se...
This is the app you use to connect your GN to an OSX machine to transfer files. Google created this for the specific reason of interfacing with android devices that use MTP and not UMS.
http://www.android.com/filetransfer/
You can also transfer over WiFi with an FTP setup. But this is easier.

Lol he doesn't need all that. If he just wants to move pics/music/vid/files back and forth, simple download from Google. Done.
And another thing on that post, I don't see how having to connect your phone via USB to sync with 'Mail', 'Address Book', iCal, iPhoto and iTunes is more seamless than simply letting everything backup wirelessly and automatically with Google services. You're making it harder on yourself by relying on your computers built-in apps. You don't buy an Android phone so that you can go back to the 2007 iPhone strategy and start plugging your phone into the computer every night to sync. That post is basically showing you how to step back from all the great things Android does.

music sorting issues

so I formatted my SD card and synced all my music to it again on my GS3. Most of the songs are in the right places, but several of them still come up under "unknown artist," which ruins albums. I tried editing the info on my computer, to no avail on some songs. Kies is not any good either. What is a good way to get my music onto my SD card in my GS3 exactly as the songs are sorted in iTunes?

That information is read from the ID3 tags. There are a bunch of Windows programs available that can write tags for audio files. My personal favorite is Tag&Rename. Search it in Google (can't post links). It's not freeware, but I believe the free version is fully functional.
have u tried using something like this, very cool i might add.
