Galaxian Soup is proud to present AOKP for the TF300t
Huge thanks to hillbillyhacker, faux123 (for his awesome kernel help) and xplodwild who made a huge start on this for us.
Build Notes
Build #6 (20120625_2002)
AOKP Build 40
Make V(R) the default I/O scheduler (worked best for me with best battery life)
Added logitech modules to kernel (may fix controllers issues)
Added libs to make Polaris office work
Dock battery level now shows upon docking device (changes submitted to gerrit to be in AOKP officially)
Build #5 (20120622_0911)
Updated to Asus release 9.4.3.30
Synced to AOKP git as of 6/21 1600.
Added SImple I/O and V® (noop is still the default, you will need to manually change to SIO or VR)
Added libs and apk's to make Splashtop work (thanks to mjgreenjr for figuring out what was needed)
Build #4 (20120617_2100)
Synced to AOKP build 39
On unlock when connected to battery the screen with have a down arrow instead of the back button (aokp 39 fixed this)
Added Battery and Weather widget
Build #3 (20120610_1439)
Fixed special keys on dock (wifi, bt, etc)
Fixed dock battery not showing when connected (it takes a second to show when you connect, you will see the dock battery with a red ! on connect then a couple seconds later it will show the dock battery level)
Changed fingerprint to match the US build fingerprint
Added SuperNote to applications that are installed, removed MyCloud (since it's not working) and TegraZone (since it's available in the marketplace) - if you already have these installed from a previous ROM this won't automatically remove them, it just doesn't install them for fresh installs
Added Goo Manager tags to build.prop so updates can be managed through Goo Manager
Build #2 (20120607_2317)
Fixed issue where toggling off wifi could not be toggled back on
Added Tegra cpu mode change (look for advanced in settings, it will be moved to rom manager laterm this will allow higher than 1100 cpu speed if you set to performance it will go up to 1500)
Added some apps from stock ROM, MyCloud, TegraZone, Youtube and Polaris Office
Still working on the dock buttons, a trip to Best Buy may be in order so I can debug and test easier (big thank to Berzerker for all his help so far)
Know Bugs
Notification transparency does not work
Main battery does not show charging when connected to dock and charging from the dock battery

Issues?
If you find issues please report them to my github here https://github.com/Galaxian-Soup/android_device_asus_tf300t/issues. This will help me keep track of all the issues rather than searching through posts.

This ROM is very smooth!
Hopefully there is nothing to drive you away from XDA and people behave.
Keep up the great work!

Just bought the dock and will be going to pick it up this afternoon. Hopefully this will enable me to get the dock working (trying to get it working without a dock was PITA so I broke down and just bought one).

We in the UK have no choice. We gotta get dock and tab together!

Yea I wasn't going to get the dock since I will unlikely use it much and $150 is a bit much to spend on something I won't use much, but in the spirit of getting it working I broke down and bought it. It should make the development go faster at any rate.

BTW you might want to take a look at the [Official][4.0.4][Experimental] CyanogenMod 9 mod, all the buttons work on the keyboard. I don't want to highjack your thread, I just thought it could help with your mods dev.

Yea the problem is I'm took all the code from CM and it's still not working. I know it works in CM but for some reason the keys are being reported differently in AOKP. I don't know if CM does some key remapping I'm missing or what. However once I have the dock in hand it will hopefully all make sense.

Heh well I didn't feel like waiting for it from amazon so I just bought it from Best Buy. Its not a big deal since I get crazy points for their rewards program cause I spend so much money there. Haha.

Yea I think I'm missing something for the MyCloud. I had the same issues. I only pushed the MyCloud.apk so it likely depends on other apk's or libraries I didn't push. I'll try and get it working.

Yes... ;-) Good to see you over here.
There might be a wifi issue with the build bot build. I'm building my own as a bandaid while I fix the aokp source. So if that official build doesn't work I'll have one up soon. Sit tight boys. I'll get you one.
Nice, I can't believe AOKP team restarted adding new devices to the list of the officially supported ones since they said they won't. Good news, thanks for the thread .

I can be very persuasive ;-)
Check the test builds link for a build with working wifi. You guys can peak in there from time to time at your own risk. I post builds with stuff I'm working on that is ready for peeps to play with. They are built from my repo which means they have extra goodies too.

Glad to see this over here, since I use your AOKP build on my Fascinate. Just curious, what kernel is this using? Most of the ICS ROMs for the KF are using Hashcodes' 3.x kernel (or a variation of it) as it enables things like hardware acceleration. I know the Fascinate ROM uses the Glitched kernel, so I was curious how that translated over to the KF.

Hashcodes kernel it's the best kernel for the fire right now so we are using that. If we decide to get glitchy we will probably push changes his way and let him do his thing. No point in remaking the wheel.

this looks very nice. What are the current issues (as of 5/24/12)? Sorry if this is a repeat.

I think the Build bot build (Official Build has wacky wifi due to an old kernel) The test build I put up has everything working but usb as far as I can tell. It's my wifes kindle so I only get it at night when she goes to sleep to work on it...
I'll be pushing the updated Hashcode kernel to AOKPs gerrit tonight so the Official build bot will put out good builds from here on out.

Thank you. There's a couple of things I noticed might be missing (or maybe different between CM9 and AOKP):
1. I can't find the Hold Back to Kill option anywhere. I know it's on the Fascinate build, so I'm probably just missing it.
2. On the CM9 roms I've used (like the stock one Hash uses with his kernel), there's an option to Hide Status Bar (I think it's typically somewhere under Display). It allows a few apps to actually use full screen (Netflix and Google Play Books are two I can think of). Without the option, the buttons on the status bar basically become dim circles, but are still present. Not really a big deal, but thought I'd mention it.
Thanks again for the great work.

Fruits & Veggies (FNV)
A JellyBean Community ROM for the Galaxy Nexus (toro)
Website | Gerrit | Github | Twitter | Facebook | Google+ | IRC | Artwork
Downloads | Credits/Thanks
In the words of FNV collaborator remicks:
I came up with this idea a while back and JellyBean is a perfect platform to implement it on, with the drop of a whole new operating system and the lovely new features that come with it I figured it was time to give this a try. This will be a community based ROM, there will be no "team" and there is no official "leader", I will be the voice/face of the project but the ROM will belong to the community. I will be setting up a gerrit and picking a few choice admins to monitor what code gets merged but we will accept contributions from anyone, no matter how large or small, and every contributor will be credited for their work. If you are interested in this project please post here and let me know your thoughts/ideas on it.
The dream is becoming a reality, we have test builds with minor changes (taking it slow) up for download now thanks to the efforts of this great community. Since I know people are patiently waiting to flash this I decided to post up our test builds here so you guys can join in the testing and crackflashing fun!
Please post any bugs you may find in this thread.
Enjoy,
remicks

This is a really good JB Rom. I've been running it for the past three days now, and see no reasons to switch to anything else.
It's smooth, quick, and works. I've not ran into any issues. My phone goes into deep sleep now without needing to go into Maps or use Gps Status to do the Gps lock trick. Battery life has been great (using Trinity A32 Kernel).
Give it a try, you might like it
Edit nothing to see here carry on.

You can find it, as well as a collection of other great wallpapers, by clicking the Art link at the top of the OP.
Also, included in the ROM is a wallpaper app which will automatically update when new wallpapers are added, so you never miss out on the goodness!

Obviously, this will depend on the phone setup, but I average roughly 2-2.5 hours of screen time while staying on 4G. When I run entirely on WiFi, I average between 2.5-3 hours if not more sometimes. I've used the stock kernel every time as well. I know some others use Faux and Trinity kernels with similar results.
When I get around to it, I'll post screens for non believers. But again, this is something that varies between phones.

You can find it, as well as a collection of other great wallpapers, by clicking the Art link at the top of the OP.
Also, included in the ROM is a wallpaper app which will automatically update when new wallpapers are added, so you never miss out on the goodness!

Great ROM
Great ROM. Thanks for putting it together.
When I restored from a backup I got an Android icon listed as camera on one of my screens and when I tried taping it, it would say app not installed. After I deleted it and went looking through my installed apps I found my camera app with the right icon and it works. Not sure why that happened.
Also, this is the first ROM since I've got my GN that the NFL app works on, so I'm really a happy man since the season is fast approaching

That's funny. The "bacon grease" ingredient in the OP is what peaked my interest lol "Fruits and Veggies? Whatev....BACON GREASE OMG."
I'll give this a flash later today. I've been running Bugless Beast ever since I rooted my new GN a couple weeks ago, but have wanted to try a more modded ROM. (Nothing against BB btw, great ROM!)

PLEASE READ:
This AOSP is not limited to CM, Vanir, CNA, EOS, AOKP etc. you get the best of all of them.. custom tailored for the galaxy nexus (and nexus 7 soon). no bloat for other devices or unusable additions in the source. the benefit? less bugs and a more optimized experience. More major features will be added from your favorite roms as soon as i can port and improve on them. I will listen to requests but don't get offended if i put them on the back-burner or decide against including them.
Disclaimer: my op is out of date. if you've been following my rom it's kindof a running joke. real disclaimer -> Because I'm using building using commits from every major repo in existence it may take a while to integrate some of the major features to my standards. I may release a stock AOKP feature as a beta until I have the chance to improve it but I'm not interested in band-aid fixing things or duck taping **** together just to get more crap under the features list and change log. Also, If you have questions or interest in building or joining vanirAOSP please message me on gtalk: [email protected] and feel free to add me on google+
here is a link to the parent thread where you can view previous change logs and perhaps find an answer to a question

RELEASE NOTES:
it's been a while since i published on xda for maguro
this build is definitely noteworthy and i figured i'd share it.
v2 changelog:
tons of new features
tons of speed tweaks
full linaro build using GCC 4.8 and the latest linaro toolchain snapshot
fully optimized O3 AND fstrict-aliasing unlike other "linaro" roms that only offer O3
you've got no idea how much stuff has been added since i released publically for maguro
it would be best to take a look at Vanir's source here
additional speed tweaks and features can be found either in our gerrit or i will explain them if you PM me.

for toro. i leapfrogged builds because my SSD is just barely big enough to build let alone make ccache for multiple devices and it takes a longgggggggg time to build if you don't use it. both have 1.11 though. if i have enough time to build for both I will but until i have enough money to buy a bigger SSD i am gonna have to leapfrog.
Yay a new PrimeDirective ROM! I'll check this out over the weekend when I have time.
Look forward to it I'm always impressed by ur ROMs

this one is for me. i like it better
congrates on a new thread!
brd nova was ok, but it is a ram hog(dip down to 150m free) and i felt it reduced performance.
and since i only run eos roms, i have become accustom to stability and performance
i can live with the search bar, not a real big deal.
looking forward to the Bluetooth audio fix
thanks for all your hard work!
I guess the time has come for me to get my butt on 4.2 eh? Alrighty then. That will be one of today's projects. As for nova I use nova paid on both the xoom and bionic without issue.
I assume a fdr and system format are in order to move from eos3 to eos4?

Thanks. I'm still working on backing everything up. Will give it a shot soon.
Thank you for reminding me liftman. I'll put that in the op.
So it's been stuck at "Waiting for network" activation can take a few minutes for over 10 minutes now. Is there something I need to do?
First install of 163, will not activate 4G through initial setup. Went to other method, still not showing 4G signal. Going to reflash shortly to see if this fixes the issue.
Just let the activation time out. Then follow liftmans instructions. I'll put that in the op too.

Thanks for the quick reply, you are awesome. Which kernel do you recommend with this ROM for batter life, considering this is based on 3.4.45 Kernel? I have been using the Lean Kernel in past which may not work with this because that is based on different kernel version 3.4.47.
I am loving the new GUI, keep up the good work.
I don't have a galaxy s3 myself. Made this ROM due to high number of requests.

I am unable to find the Vibration/Haptic Settings options under Settings. In most custom ROM's, I found this under Settings->Advanced->Haptic. This helps in setting the vibration strength for the mobile
Device specific settings will be implemented in the next update.
