Optical Trackpad

Someone should make that button able to turn on the screen without rooting. It would be great

You can find tutorials on how to do it yourself, or download a rom (like CM7) that already has it included.

None that I know of. What you have to do is map the trackpad button to the on button.

Get Widget Locker, it is a lock screen screen replacement. In the settings you can set it to easy wake mode. In this mode it completely replaces the original lock screen and let you wake up the device with any(!) hardware button (included the track pad)
The only downside is that you can't choose which buttons wake up the device. it's just all or nothing

Need help, some apps can't bypass the lock screen, and some don't look like the ICS screen and some when u done with the fake call goes back to the app...wtf

Need help with music app

I have a koodo variant of SGH-T989 and running stock with a pattern lock on it. is there a way i could access the play/pause widget in lock screen similar to an iPhone possibly without root and mods?

Weird lock screen after restart

So I restarted my phone which isn't rooted but running nova launcher and now the lock screen is different. Its a
Single lil lock at the bottom if I hold it gives me options for email phone twitter and two others with a slide to the right to unlock and to the left for camera. If i get a text it comes up on the left in the middle and I have to hold it down and it does a load bar to open the msg. Can anyone explain to me about this and how i could change the icons like twitter and all.

I can restart the phone and it goes back to normal slide lock screen then after a min it goes back to the one I described. I deleted nova launcher to see if that was it and it was not.

Quick reply from the lock screen

Ok I was just curious if there was an app that would allow me to quick reply to sms from the lock screen, when I had an iPhone jail broke it and was able to quick reply from the lock screen without actually unlocking my phone. Anyone know of any app? Also I'm on dn3 rom

Textra, sms popup and Chomp to name a few. Lots of the sms/text apps from the play store do quick reply. It's not like the iPhone at all with needing to jailbreak just to get a nice feature like that on the lockscreen. Android does much of this without need of root or anything special.
Edit: I currently use textra but have used almost every one of them. Chomp isn't bad either.

NILS. It shows your message on the lock screen and allows you to click it and takes you straight to the message. I still use the stock messages app

Sms popup is the bomb. It allows you to answer from the lock screen. Once done, it is still locked.

I use c locker as my lock screen and sliding messenger allowed me to quick reply. it comes up in a bubble similar to that of the chat heads from Facebook messenger

This is my go to app no matter what Rom i'm using

Tried sms popup and I hated it.
