[TRANSPARENT WIDGETS][TEAM REJECTZ]UPDATE!!! Accuweather Pandora News & Weather - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Just use Root Explorer to push to /system/app folder, set permissions to the same as the others in the /system/app folder, reboot and enjoy.
1.GenieWidget (News and Weather)
2.Pandora
3.accuweather
4.Samsung Weather Widget (full size accuweather transparent)
5.Transparent Clock (blue date)
Helps with the clutter and your wallpaper/theme can be anything without the widgets not matching your theme. If people like these, hit thanks and let me know you like it, give me ideas for other ones, and I'll see about getting them posted.

I found this a while ago. I've used both the blue and white 100% transparent widgets on my E4GT and it works great.

Does this require TW?
Thanks!
Edit: Nevermind, tried it and it worked great! Thanks. I'm running CM9 A5.

Nice. Thanks, man. I tried another transparent accu-weather widget awhile back and it looked great but wouldn't update properly and I could not add any locations to it. I'll try these for sure
Great work my friend

Ya that's normal if you have your original updated Pandora still in./system/app. You need to remove the widget from your home screen first , delete your original Pandora apk from /system/app, then push my modded Pandora apk.

Full screen
First of thanks for posting the widgets.. it's great work.
I've updated my Samsung Galaxy SII (SPH-D710) to run AOKP build 37. very hpappy witht the rom but i am missing my full screen weather.
So, i have used root explorer to copy DigitalClock, signedTP accuweather and SamsungWidgetweather to /system/app
The digital Clock works and the accuweather works. Unfortunatley the one i really want to work is the full screen weather widget (SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk) but for some reason when i go to the widgets set up i can not find it in there.
Now, i have checked the persmissions are set correctly (0644) and also the owner is set correctly.
I have rebooted plenty of times, and yet cannot find it even though it is on the /system/app folder.
Am i missing something ? is there anything else i need to set ?
and just to be on the safe side, Is this the widget from touchwiz that makes the full screen display sunny or rainy etc according to weather conditions ?
Thanks in advance for your help on this matter..

Unfortunately aokp and tw aren't always Compatible. . Sorry but not much i can do about that. Some advice is that you can search some of the aosp roms and pull a widget from there.
There is a tutorial on how to make transparent widgets in the Android themes and mods section off of the xda home page! Good easy way to start learning how to theme!

Anyone make a transparent "AccuWeather" widget ?

Was wondering if anyone made a transparent weather widget for our phone ? The stock Samsung Touchwiz version that comes with the phone. I would love to see a semi-trans version, or a darker background, I think the weather widget looks best at nighttime with dark background, but I hate it during the day with bright blue background.
Check out the black venum theme...download, unzip, grab the app from there. Move it to your SD card and use Root Explorer to push it to system/apps.
I use a copy n paste in RootbExplorer instead of file move since every themebor ROM i flash changes the app back to stock.

Thanks, but it did not work. I downloaded the Venom theme, extracted to my computer, pulled the AccuWeatherDaemonService.apk from the system/app folder, then put on my sd/card, used root explorer to move the .apk into system/app, but it would not install, and I still have the stock weather widget.
You don't have to install, just put it in system/app then change the permissions to the same that all the other apps have then reboot and it should be fine. No need to click install.
And don't forget to mount root explorer to r/w and when your done back to r/o

How to change the permission ? Click the .apk once in the system/app folder, long press to show "permissions" ? What should those boxes be set too ?
They should be set to all 3 in the first(read)row, and just the top one in the middle(write) row

Yes, that is what I did, and still they same looking weather widget, nothing different. And I rebooted too.
You sure your pulling the correct file? Cuz if you are when u put it in root explorer it should ask u if u want to overwrite the current file.

Looks like it should be SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk
Looks like you pulled the service apk you need to pull the the actual widget that I just posted in my last post.
You da man Thank you
It was the wrong .apk originally. I threw in the other one, did all the root explorer stuff, rebooted, and there it is, all clear weather widget, looks great with my all clear digital clock, with blue #'s instead of green. Live wallpapers look a million times better with the clear widgets.
Lol, no problem man, glad I could help

ICS blue|black|trans| Gapps icons.

I changed my Icons to better match the ICS blue theme. Here they are if you want them.
Here is a zip containing most of my icons, all that are pictured in this thread and some more. This zip contains all 3 sizes of each icon to replace every icon in the apk. They are numbered by size 48,72,96. However they are also all the same file name and contained in individual zips. So be careful not to overwrite when unpacking.

To change the SMS icon.
Rename mms.apk to mms.zip
Double click to open (using winrar here) DO NOT UNZIP!
Res>mipmap-xhdpi
drag and drop ic_launcher_smsmms.png over top the old one. Let it replace it
rename mms.zip back to apk.
Then install however you normally would
The contacts and phone icon are located in the contacts.apk it's done the same way as the mms.apk, in the same folder name, just replace ic_launcher_phone.png, and ic_launcher_contacts.png
I have copies of my apk's. You probobly should too. Lemme know if i need to change something.

I have some of them pre packaged in apk's already.
As far as flashable zips go, I am on the fence. I believe you should learn to do a few core things, in case something gets messed up and you don't have a zip to flash and fix. I probably will build a zip that contains all the updated Gapps with different themed icons when I am finished with the notification icons.

Blue Themed G-NeXicons {updated 15/4/12 - 78 icons}

Updated 15/4/12 - More icons added
For those that don't know the G-NeXicons by shakeyabooti are proving to be real popular and look stunningly good, well I have themed some of these to give a more blue ICS theme.
Firstly I must thank shakeyabooti for firstly giving me permission to mod his icons and secondly giving me some great tips which have allowed me to create a much better icon than my earlier attempts (I'm learning all the way !!).
If you like these icons and plan to thank me then make sure you go here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1493269 and thank the original designer cos without his efforts then these icons wouldn't exist full stop.
Included so far are:

+ some more I can't show here.....
I've mainly done the apps I use so there are a few random ones in there,I'll get some more done as and when I get time.
If anyone has any requests i will try to oblige but please be patient, if you could post the icon for the app (preferably the png icon file pulled from within the apk)you want then that would save me some time and speed up the return. I've noticed that shakeyabooti has had masses of requests and credit to him he's managed to sort them out really quickly and I won't be as quick for sure but I'll try my best...
I think they look pretty cool !

Question: Is it just me or are the blues in each of the icons in different shades? The icons would be even better if they were all the same shade of blue and matched the official ICS hex code.

No worries, happy to help out....
The blues ARE different shades and I like the look of them like that when they're on my homescreen. I think if they were all the same blue then it would be a bit 'samey'. The official ICS hex code (#33c5e5) is a bit dodgy when it comes to icons - I did my drop down navigation bar icons and found that the 'official ICS' colour was a crap match for the existing blue icons (clock, frame of dropdown, etc) and I in fact found #05b7eb to be the closest match (to my eyes anyway and after lots of trial and error)......
What do you guys and gals think then ? Use the same blue throughout or stay as it is ??

Welcome to xda, its not a theme its just a set of icons. It can't be flashed in cwm. Find an app called Desktop Visualizer on the market - it let's you place an icon on your home screen and link it to any app you like. Or some launchers like nova let you do it too....

Yep this is the Nikk setup.
I ask him for PSD but no answer, I only found a link he gave to download the 3 different wallpapers in jpg.
So I opened my Photoshop and decided to realize these fresh icons (and uccw) from scratch as I wanted to set this on my girlfriend's GNex (freshly rooted XenonDH, Nova Prime) ... since I love her so much
So finally I made the icons I needed for her setup. But then I think to myself that maybe some of you here are interested , so decided to raise the number of icons in the set and then just upload psd and pngs here. (And increase your pupils life by preventing them from a too long exposure in front of an LCD screen
No Play Store stuff. As I don't have time to make the apk for each launcher. I just opened 1 go theme apk and well ... it's not so complicated. I barely got the idea on how to do it. The thing is, from what I've seen in the Go apk opened, when you turn an iconset into an apk you have to bind all activities and applications to the wanted icon, in severals XML files ... well, I've made this set 323 pieces large ... got my point lol ?

Oh man, don't even worry about it, the cart is fine I just overlooked it a million times.
I really want his wallpapers without the built in icons and widget. I might tackle it myself for personal use.
EDIT: Eghhh, there's no way to really replicate the exact layout without using Nikks method of having everything as part of the wallpaper.
I just can't get the icons close enough, plus they're too small (not complaining just stating haha).
Oh well, I still love everything that has been put into this. Thanks man.

If I were you here is what I will do.
I'm on GNex so assuming you're on Photoshop :
- new doc (720x1280),
- pick the starting and ending colors on nikk wallpaper.
- apply radial background,
- add noise filter,
- apply wallpaper to your phone.
- set it fixed.
- done.

Thanks, I actually already made the wallpaper, which turned out fine. I was stating that even with a 7x7 grid I can't replicate the placement of everything. Which is fine, I'm happy with what I achieved.

I'm also on a 7x7 grid (nova prime) with vertical and horizontal margin set to none. I've also set the swipe up move to hide/show the dock. Nikk says he uses ss launcher. Since you can place widget and icon wherever you want without grid restriction/auto align..

Nice and clean. Featured them on IconDatabase.net
New iconset I've made
Mint Beta Iconset
(approx 9Mo, 161 icons, 1 preview, 1 psd)
Hey pooley, if it's possible could you make a tumblr icon? It's the only one that I'm missing. I would use the tutorial you linked to, but I won't have access to my laptop for some time. If it's too much of a hassle, then no worries. Thanks for sharing the icon set regardless!
I was totally going to jizzzz my pants when i saw these icons.. But I'm way too lazy for converting this to Miui theme format...
Is there somewhere hero who could make mtz from this?

[THEME] Ironman J.A.R.V.I.S.Q - UCCW skin

I recently got my Nexus 4 and as my first post I'd like to share my JARVIS clock/battery uccw widget!
When I got my Nexus 7 I release the Evangelion NERV theme so I wanted to make this a thing :silly:
The attached file includes the two wallpapers and the themes in uzip format (so you can modify it as much as you want).
- Install the app UCCW: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.vineetsirohi.customwidget
- Add a UCCW widget to the screen and in the top right corner tap "uzip" and locate the uzip file.

Thanks for the suggestion, just to make sure, you're referring to the clock/battery screen, right xD?

yes that one, sorry for being a little unclear , i think the reason why i felt its empty is because i use pie control, looking forward to the next update
Bought to support. It looks great, but there seems to be some bugs for me. Getting "F0MAX" for the temps on weather similar issues for the smaller weather bar. I'm on the latest PA if that helps.
Also, do you think there'd be anyway to get a stocks ticker included in there? Maybe where the "Identification Lookup" section is since it kinda looks like a ticker already?

Thanks a bunch !
The weather bug is usually caused by disabled GPS access. You can try choosing your "weather provider" and "location" in UCCW's settings, that should fix it!
Once again, an amazing theme! Was looking forward to this one, especially after I installed the app Cyman Mark 2. Now I've got a theme to match my digital JARVIS butler! Set it up on my Galaxy Nexus.
Appreciate the hard work!
Problem
Hey
Love the theme but I am using Lightening Launch and whenever I click on the hotspots all it does is open the customize menu for the widget..
Do I have to use Nova..?
Using a rooted samsung s3 with Boeffla kernel 2.10 beta and Omega Rom 43.1
Awesome theme! I am mostly set with my current setup on my N4, but I would love to use this for my N7. The theme looks like it works for the N7 but has anyone tried it yet?

Turn hotspot on in the settings.

bought the theme, having problem w/weather showing under "current temp is..". Also, how do I change the time to 12hr format instead of 24 on the arc reactor widget? Looks cool btw.

Just like jnewman1991 said, if you turn on your hotspot mode, it will start working. Check the video tutorial again for details, I explain all about it there!

Yeah, I own a N7 myself and it works perfectly, or maybe even better on it since the screen is larger.

edit: I actually left out the feature to change the format from 24 to 12 on purpose xD

nice to see you here
After a bit more playing around, everything seems to be working well except for the upcoming schedule area, which doesn't seem to be updating after adding a new event.
Bought it, works great! There a way to change the temp from C to F in Jarvis 2?
Clock I can deal with because I work for the military. Thanks!

It might not get updated instantly but on my nexus 4 it updates relatively fast. Are you running a lot of stuff in the background maybe?

Thanks man! Go to the UCCW app and then its settings. You should be able to change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit over there.

Nope, it looks like it's just not updating at all. It's been several hours since I added an event to the calendar.
