[Q] Looking for ROM with nice weather/calendar lockscreen - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Just got a GNex yesterday which is quite an upgrade from my HTC Desire. Back on the Desire I was running the BCM rom which had a nice white weather icon and calendar icon and text that fit the rest of the theme really well. Can anyone recommend a ROM that has nice looking weather and calendar options on the lockscreen? The threads sometimes don't mention this info. I tried the AOKP but was disappointed by the lack of weather icons and the way it's displayed.
Also I was wondering which kernel everyone recommends that has CIFS and allows for the color calibration? I tried the AOSP but it had some cifs issues that caused file explorers to freeze. I also tried Franco's that someone else compiled with the CIFS but it doesn't have the color/gamma hack.

Xenon HD has weather and I think they mentioned calendar for next release.

Aokp has weather and calendar on lock screen options.

CM9 have weather and calendar lockscreen options.

I like the AOKP weather, also. Calendar is OK, but the rest of the rom customisations make up for it.
If you liked the four buttons on your HTC, you can add those back with AOKP also, and then some.

Yeah I'll try that one next. I didn't before because I didn't quite trust the "nightly's"
Can you add any menu buttons on nav bar in cm9? The big one or small ones on the side?

Nav bars are customizable.

Adding stuff to Desire's puldown notification

The Galaxy S has a nice feature in the pull-down notification where you can enable/disable things like Wi-Fi/ Bluetooth etc. Does such a hack exist for Desire? I'm using Lee's ROM 2.0a
Thanks

There's a widget for that. That's almost as fast. And you can toggle all those things

Yep- seen the widget. But I am using Slide Screen as my home page so cant use widgets and multiple screens.

[Q] GingerVillain 2.7 Lockscreen

Good evening ladies and gentlemen!
I'm currently using GingerVillain 2.7 for a while now and I have one minor question.
It would be great if I could see some sort of notification on the lockscreen that I had missed calls/unread messages and not just in the notification bar. You know, something small like "1missed call".
Is it possible to realize it or not really?
Thanks.
Not on the default lockscreen - but with WidgetLocker, yes.
You can use notification widgets on that app.

[Q] Power widget in notifications area on rooted 2.2 ?

Hi
Is there any way ( app or something ) how to get power widget to notoficatins area instead of last used programs? i dont like using power widget on a home screen
Is this what your looking for?
[APP] Notification Toggle
nope this app is crap...i already tried it on lot of different phones and its no good. I used some custom rom for my G1 and it has another widget ( editable ) in the notifications area....but it looked like as a version of the original home screen widget
Frankly, if you've all ready rooted your phone. Why don't you upgrade to a Gingerbread ROM which gives you the power widget in the notification area for you?

This isn't a built-in Gingerbread feature. It's one of CM7's many great modifications.
no hes right...Gingerbread has a power widget, ehm a sort of, mixed up with the notifications area on 2 tabs, but its not customizable. i thought about switching to cm's but i really like the sense and all that HTC "crap"

Yeah that's what I meant. I guess I could have worded that a little clearer. How about a MIUI ROM instead? It's a bit like Sense in a way.
yeah, but its not a sense rom. Maybe im too demanding....

What would you guys like to see in CM9

I'am planning on doing a CUSTOM CM9 build away from the current one, so to keep one nice and clean and the other one more customized.....i would love to have ideas please guys.....and i might do it...what would you like to see removed\added
thanks

A camera app that is like, if not resembles Sense's.

yeah. i like the sense camera too. the fm radio app would be nice as well.

Keep Beats Audio from stock.
I also prefer the sense lock screen, if that's possible.
lock screen with notification bubbles available on unlock icons (i.e. texts, email, calls) which show u the number of each respective new notifications (like sense has). Also those notification bubbles available on the icons in the launcher (like sense also has, and apex launcher pro)
I was using apex launcher pro with CM9 but I miss the notification bubbles on the unlock icons that sense offers.
I really like the available weather on the lock screen. But it'd be nice if there was a weather widget available that looked just like the weather on the lock screen. I really like the look of the lockscreen weather and would like that on my home screen.
also, an option to assign a shortcut to double tapping the home key. There is an app that offers this (Home2 shortcut) but itd be nice to have this built into CM9. right now shortcuts can be assigned to long press but itd be nice to have both long press and double tap as shortcut options
A sleek minimalist design with a transparent status bar! Also lots of performance tweaks, and other various tweaks.

beats, sense camera, sense dialer/people.

I would love to see a Sense camera! I also like the HTC widgets with vanilla ICS. For some reason, when I use a diferent launcher, HTC Widgets don't show in the widgets pane.
Can you also include a camera mod if there's one out by then?
Waiting for your work... patiently.
A mod to choose to place the clock in the centre of the status bar - I pulled the SystemUI.apk from SuPrimo to use with the stock ROM, and I actually think it look nice having a centred clock

Please do not add Beats! I dislike how it hovers in the notification bar whether on or off and I find in general it brings no more benefit than a simple EQ.
Personally what I would like to see most is Google Now integration. Although what I would fall in love with is CM10 .

oh, and the option to turn off haptic feed back on the lockscreen! it is a tad bit annoying.
the quite hours trick where you check "disable haptic feedback" does disable haptic feedback on the lockscreen but it also disables all notification and call vibrations even though you don't check "disable vibrations".

Lockscreen gestures!! Was in CM7, but has been removed in CM9?
I like Sense pretty much, so I would be happy not to divert too far from it. The audio-player is very nice with the possibility to add other similar apps, like the FM Radio. This way all I need is the widget on one of my screens and I have access to it all. Please keep that.
Beats is still the best preset, just make that annoying icon go away from status-bar.
HTC weather and clock are nice!
Am I right, that the MIUI dialer looks like the Sense one?
I think, that in Sense all is so well integrated, that most should be kept and adding less is more. But then, I am just a noob, what do *I* know?!
Oh, and please try to port and add the One X camera mod (no compression).

Recomendations for Touchwiz like clock for AOSP/CM

I love CM10/JB builds so far, the one thing I miss is the TW clock (not widget) with the Timer & Stopwatch. Does anyone have any recommendations?

If yours is like mine (GB 2.3.6) it also has Alarm, World clock, and Desk clock. (Slide the top menu bar all the way to the right to get to the Desk clock). This TW clock is one of the things keeping me from going to JB and/or CM10.
Has anyone been able to pull this out and install it on JB? Is it part of TouchWiz30Launcher.apk?
there is this which I haven't tried yet:

Bah, it works, but is formatted for a different resolution screen. It's "too big".

Thanks for the link, there is hope yet! I haven't tried it yet either, but the original link has a link to this post for the Galaxy S I9000, which I think is our phone's resolution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1558337
