New Kernels question !

Hi to all Gio useres
what is the best and most stable Kernel for Gio running 2.3.3??
and if i flash it do i lose my Arabic lang support ?
and another question
there's a script for Mini and Fit
and it make the internal storage bigger by attaching storage from SD
is there any script for Gio

It seem you havent read anything, kernel dont touch your settings and yes theres scripts like S2E and A2SD just read main topics

i got problem when trying to flash a kernel
in CWM it's that i cant' mount system
it's says
error can't mount/system
whats the problem ?

Hi Delano Custom Kernel should work with your stock rooted 2.3.3. You can flash it via CWM recovery. Just make sure you do a backup first. This kernel has a lot great features checkout the thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1405139).

Sir, actually I am new to android so I want to knw full detailed information about ROMs like What is ROM? How to use it? How to get it? What is the use of it? and etc such things.
So please anyone can help me I m having Samsung galaxy y s5360.

To install custom rom put the rom in ur sd card, clear cache and user data and then install it via cwm
And for stock flash it through odin

Please ask common questions in FAQ

CWM Recovery

hi xda...
One of my friend has SGY and he`s SGY is rooted ...but dont have CWM Recovery (Permanent).
so my question is how to get permanent CWM Recovery...link as well as small guideline is appreciate.....thnx..!

Permanent cmw is only available in merruks kernel.. It's not final yet.. Still has some bugs..
Cmw can be flashed from stock recovery so no need of permanent one.?

Yeah,But it still has some bugs..you cant flash any custom rom after flashing the kernel..a2sd darktremor doesnt fully work etc..
Merruk is now uploading a new kernel so cant wait to get hold of it!!

in that case he/she will stick on the non-built.in CWM but for me better stick on stock rom and downloads ICON PACKS and LAUNCHER and merruk kernel with andrenaline script/tweaks so my mobile wont lag even i reach 200+ Ram

Only one questions,i have read some instruction and I have download “kernel_flasher_v1.2a.zip” but I cannot select this zip after click on pda in odin3. In odin3 can I attach only files “tar”, “md5” or “smd”. Can you help me please? What am I doing wrong? I want overclock my Samsung Galaxy Grand but i dont unterstand how?

Please help explain how to go from CWM 6.0.4.5 to CWM 6.0.15

Ok. First of all im new in this. I wanted to try custom ROM so i ave rooted my phone and installed phills touch 6.00.8 with odin.
I have note 2 gt-n7100 and this are files i was using - philz_touch_6.00.8-n7100.tar.md5 and - CF-Auto-Root-t03g-t03gxx-gtn7100.tar.md5 and now i have CWM version 6.0.4.5 , and aparrenty aroma freezes during phoenix v15 Custom ROM installation and i need to change it to CWM 6.0.1.5.
So i someone have a petiance to help me with this and make a step by step guide coz im noob . Or refer to a another post that i couldnt find and can help with this.

P.S. - and yes i didnt do backup at all lol, because im usualy lucky wit stuff like this but this time joke is on hehe.
