[Q] Video streaming to Smart TV

Has anyone tried streaming video recorded on the HOX over dlna to a Samsung Smart TV? It only seems to work when the clip is bright enough, otherwise the tv says "Video Codec not Supported". Is it a frame rate incompatibility?
I've also tried connecting the phone through USB and got the same results, so it's not a dlna problem...
I'm surprised no one else seems to have this problem.
It was the first thing I tried to do and it did work for the first video (coincidentally in bright light, outdoors) but has failed to play anything else since.

HDMI Delay ICS?

Anyone else have HDMI problems? When I plug my ION into my TV it connects but there is a slowdown, its not fluid. I tried this method on ICS but it doesn't seem to work, any ideas?
EDIT: This slowdown only happens on [email protected] its only fluid on 720P, other resolutions either don't show on the TV or are laggy.

THis appeared first time after installing kitkat on my device. Would love to see a fix to this as there is no way to roll back to Jelly Been from Kitkat

Fire TV 2 video playback issues

My AFTV2 will not playback video from any source without the playback pausing/stopping for about 1-2 seconds all through the movie. No matter what the source whether streaming from my NAS or streaming from an app, any app. I play the same video back on my AFTV1 and it plays fine. I can't even play 720 video back clean let alone 1080p. I am rooted on 5.0.4 I was thinking of unrooting and going back to 5.0.3 but I would rather not have to do that. Anyone else having issues with video playback on AFTV2? or can anyone suggest what I can try to correct it. I have already tried playing back video using MX Player and VLC. I thought VLC might work because its the one from Amazon Play Store but the result is the same. It's really driving me crazy because it happens all the time. The reason I got the AFTV2 was because I thought I would get cleaner playback of video based on the new hardware, but my AFTV1 which is also rooted blows it out of the water. The Fire TV 2 is connected to a powerline adapter, but I tested it connected directly to my router and the result was the same. Even on the powerline adapter my speed test is about 19-24 mbps which should be fast enough to playback video smoothly. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

So.....no one else has problems with video playback on the AFTV2? If not then maybe it's my particular box that has a problem...

I just stream using Kodi & some addon sources you will get buffering problems but to be honest it's fine when you get a nice stream.

thanks for the reply. Yes I use Kodi as well, and you're right you have to have a good stream first. But even when I stream movies from my NAS in Kodi, or select a stream from an addon that's say MQ it still stutters throughout the movie. When I play the same movie, same stream, from my AFTV1 it plays perfectly fine. I know I have a fast enough internet connection. It just seems strange to me that the AFTV2 with the more powerful hardware can't come close to the AFTV1 when it comes to video playback. Even Netflix stutters.

Question Audio on television stops when video on Instagram/Facebook begin to play

Hi, I am currently watching TV shows on my Kodi firestick. while I am watching television and browsing Facebook or even Instagram when a video starts playing/audio the show I am watching pauses, I have to then press play to continue the show on tv.
Anyone know why videos that start with audio (Instagram and Facebook) pause the videos I am watching on my tv/first stick?
This was not occuring with my OnePlus 7t pro
I think there may be a problem with your sound card. I also had such a problem when using discord, the interrupts stopped after sound card updates. I am currently able to follow various broadcasts such as TV or radio without freezing. canlı tv
