So i'm moving to to wildchild from cm9.I just wanted to know is there any way i can make the wildchild call screen like the one cm9 has?
You can do that but you will have to get into the framework and change it accordingly.........this will involve the need of templates of the CM9 dialer and a lot of XML coding
So its impossible for a noob?

Hi,
I'm running Black Ice - and the ROM itself is good, but I'm not a huge fan of the skin. The lockscreen is very dark and the symbols have changed, and also the statusbar has different icons which I'm not that keen on.
How can I restore the default cyanogenmod theme, is there a flashable zip that removes all of the custom skins?
Thanks
You should just switch back to cyanogen. Devs take a base and add a theme to it because they are targeting a specific look. If its not for you then switch to something else. If there are other themes available for a Rom they will be posted in op or someone in thread will post a working one. I don't think they are interested in going for the cyanogen look since cyanogen already has the vanilla look down.
I know the black ice devs don't want the vanilla look, and I'm ok with that. But you can skin roms in different ways, so surely one is the default cyanogenmod look?
The thread mentions copying systemui.apk and framework-res.apk but I'm not having any luck.
And blackice has some great tweaks, which is why I'm using it
Black ice is derived from cyanogen so you should be able to extract those two files from framework in cyanogen and push them to your phone and then reboot. What problems are you experiencing while trying this? You could try using the kitchen to swap the files.
Hi, everybody!
Anybody tried to replace phone.apk in senserom to phone.apk from AOSP ?
!! Not a dialer app !! I was tried, but not succesfuly. I take phone.apk from AOSP froyo rom. May be need some yet other parts of aosp rom?
You can not replace phone.apk from sense rom with AOSP phone.apk, because sense framework is not same with AOSP
So, there is nothing to do?
Is it possible to make hybrid framework with AOSP and sense? (do not laugh. just in theory... =)) Where can i find info, about structure and how all this works? Don't kick me. I just noob in android. =)
Hello everyone! im wonder is it possible to install apps like messaging or call app from AOSP rom like JJ's rom on a Gingerbread? i want to copy some AOSP apps from JJ's Rom and then after installing GB i would like to copy some of this apps to system folders to replace original apps. Would they work? or AOSP apps are made to work only on a ICS firmwares?
(Make sure to backup any system apps you are replacing encase something goes wrong)
I think ICS has different coding to GB in apps but some do work, just make sure do to the above before attempting this.
I was messing with a friends Wildfire S recently and changed his ROM to CM7.2 as he seemed to like Cyanogen on another phone.
While adding some tweaks I discovered this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1905483
It's a guide to adding Jelly Bean transition animations to Gingerbread ROMs!!
I had a bit of trouble modding the framework-res.apk but the thread-starter, Dinhodroid, was kind enough to edit one for me and it has worked really well.
Here's hoping someone is interested!!
I guess you should have attached something ?
I was going to attach my modded framework-res.apk but then I realized that someone may try to use it on the wrong ROM and I didn't want to go on too long in the first post.
I will attach the modded one for CM7.2 (cm-7-20120616-UNOFFICIAL-marvel). <--------------------------------ONLY FOR THIS ROM.
You can probably create another one for other GB ROM's but the attached is only for CM7.2 mentioned.
To use it, put it into the ROM.zip before you flash the ROM (Use winrar the delete the old one from "system/framework" and then drag and drop the modded one in it's place).
