That app will help you for sure! Maybe not the free one but the paid one for sure will do.

Mount it USB and go download O&O software file recovery on your pc and scrape them back off...
Sent from the VOiD using tapatalk.

Will do also was thinking 3 weeks ago I gave her my t989 when I bought the note shouldn't all her pics still be on her my touch 3g slide? She is looking for that phone now. She can't find it but I think that's cause she's stressed

Search for software called recuva its free and works great.

+1 for recuva. Saved 11gb worth of photos and videos

silly question but have you tried to look in the .trash folder? that folder is hidden if you can find it, poke around in there

do you think it will work on a corrupted micro SD card?

Questions go in the Q&A section

Sure you can recover deleted photos from samsung galaxy android phone, follow this guide: android photo recovery
Take note that you'd better do the android recovery as early as possible as more you wait, harder to get back lost photos.

Just bought this phone, should I root?

Hi guys, so I can pretty much do anything, I've been rooting for a long time. So should I root now? If so, which Rom would be best? Thanks in advance

Best way to find out what's the best rom is to try them out people can say one thing about a rom and you can think something else,
Root and rom away, and welcome

This.
Save yourself from any future headaches and head on over to Peoplearmy and GeeK's threads and back up your IMEI with both methods just in case.
I ran with stock rooted for a good week after getting my GS3 just to make sure there weren't any defects (since stock is the most stable).
Pardon my ignorance, I know what imei is, but if things go wrong, how will imei be involved?
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
Some people where having issues and there imei was lost, there's a tool to back it up in development section just back it up you shouldn't have issues I haven't seen people inquiring about lost imeis lately,

For some odd reason, people have been reporting that their IMEI information on the phone was wiped while flashing ROMs through recovery. That information isn't supposed to be touched, but nobody has really found out the reason why that data gets wiped during the flashing process for some users.
When this happens, the phone loses its ability to connect to your mobile network (because it has no IMEI information to present to the network), so it's essentially an iPod. Last week I randomly lost my IMEI from restoring a nandroid backup from CWM (luckily I backed up my IMEI information and was able to restore it within minutes), but I've heard people saying that it happens on TWRP as well.
I'm not saying that it will happen to you whenever you flash a new ROM, but when it comes to these things it's always better to be safe than sorry.
Also, welcome to the SGS3 forums . Leaving the childish drama behind in the Amaze forum alone was worth the upgrade for me.

Trial and error always the best course with roms. I would root mine was rooted a few hours after I pulled it out the box.
Very easy to do and with our development section well worth it.

nfc learn key cards etc?

Can our phones learn cards like hid security cards? My gym has a card reader that lets me in the building, any way I can program my card into my n2 and use my n2 as the card to enter my gym?

Nope. Wrong frequencies. Let me expand on that a bit. Most likely not, unless they've just put in the system in the last 6 months, and it is compatible with nfc, otherwise, no.
that link I posted mentions nfc.
Idk outcast...hopfully somone can shed some light on this for us.

It makes installing a good rom, that much better!

I will be holding off as well. I'm kinda satisfied at the moment with what Samsung has provided. I don't like the bloat and I miss my root apps. But I think I'll be just fine for a month or so.

With the 2GB of ram is the bloatware still slowing the phone down.

Been waiting on my sd card from amazon that arrived today. I'm trying to hold off rooting until TWRP is ready.
I'm amazed I've lasted this long without rooting, but like others above I'm holding out until I can 'fully experience' the stock software Samsung tossed out there. I didn't want to drop 600+ on a new phone and not at least give the new stuff a try!

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I was under the impression that the only way you could get a bad imei is if the phone was lost or stollen.
Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk 2
Well back when the s3 originally came out we had a bunch of people randomly lose their imei. I would show up as just 0. And there was no efs folder to back up because it no longer contained imei.

Avenger movie from S3

I was able to download the free Avengers movie that T mobile gave away with the S3. Just for fun I went to the Samsung hub and sure enough it downloaded. It would only let me get the SD version though. I'm sure most people are tired of the movie, but the SD version looks great on the Note3.

I have talked and even called Samsung about this and the only one that can help you with it is T-Mobile so call them. I haven't figured it wasn't worth that extra time calling them either because at first I thought it was just something on Samsung their side... Torrent that movie...
