Hi all, I have two contacts in my phone that i used to be able to send text messages to, but as of lately when i choose to send them i get an error message "Message not sent"...red triangle...all of my other contacts work fine with this...any ideas?..I have deleted all conversations...tried over wifi, data etc....and when i call these contacts the call doesnt go through either..."Says something like "call cannot be received at this time"...bith users are on different carriers too...I tried removing the "1" in front of there numbers, but same thing, I have also checked APN settings for tmobile, they are correct as well...hmmmm
You check its actually in the proper 10 digit form?

When dialing a Facebook contact from Contacts, Call Log or LPP People Widget, the dial pad appears with that contact's # & picture but the dialing attempt ends & I get a message of "Call has been lost".
I first noticed this after flashing CM7 N96. I've seen it on N98-N101.
From poking around several forums, I'm confident the problem is that Facebook contact phone #s import with +1 at the beginning. If I edit the contact to create a separate contact, without +1, I have no problem getting calls to dial.
I don't want to do that for over 200 contacts.
Does anybody know away to keep FB #s from importing in that format?
Anybody else seen this happen?
I find it strange that I can only find a handful of posts about it anywhere. Nobody has a solution except to change each contact.
Thanks, in advance.

Yes. The best method is to not import Facebook contacts.

I think it's still a bug. Using the plus sign as a callout prefix has been an accepted standard for many years and my cheap $10 feature phone can handle it cleanly. I find that this bug exists in all derivatives of CM 7 based ROMS but doesn't seem to exist in the Froyo based versions.

I noticed a similar issue when I used to run CM 7.2. I didn't have any of my Facebook contacts imported, though. Not sure what the problem was, but I'm on Deck's Reloaded now and haven't had the same issue.

Okay, did a bit of research, finally everything is fixed...found this thread really helpful..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412261
Essentially, there is an ICS bug such that if you go into the hidden menu, your SMS carrier number is wiped...
To fix, one needs to obtain your telco's SMSC however this cannot be entered as a normal number, rather you need to go here
http://www.twit88.com/home/utility/sms-pdu-encode-decode
to convert it into a Hex number, is just simply the way SMS is transmitted...so what you do is at that site enter your SMSC in the bottom left hand corner including the + sign if your telco uses it, don't worry about the receiver or message, hit convert, grab the first 16 characters, note it may contain letters this is okay, but only take the first 16. You can backsolve and check if you did it correctly by using the first converter to reconvert back...
Go back into the hidden menu...type it in the SMSC, hit update, then refresh...wait a few seconds, close the prompt, check by sending an SMS again...it should work
Btw, any third party SMS apps also work as long it let's you manually enter a SMSC like GoSMS
Dunno why we don't have this option in our SMS stock app

Easier than the above method. Worked for me

This is kind of weird. I'm using AOKP Play Milestone 6 with LuPuS v4. I used the Verizon Messaging App from the Play store for a while but it just looks horrible to me, I was able to send and recieve MMS messages on that app, same with GO SMS Pro. I wanted to go back to the stock messaging app, but MMS won't send at all. I started to send a photo to a friend of mine, then left for class. I got back and it still says sending. I'm pretty sure there's a problem if a phone tries to send a message for over an hour. After two tries, I attempted to send it on the Verizon app and it worked. It never failed, it just says Sending. I'm also curious about this one.
The Verizon Messaging app has this neat feature where it'll say that a text was sent, and when the phone I texted has actually received the message in realtime. Can I enable that on any other messaging app? I'm asking because those "Phone Received Message" icons actually show up on the stock messenger.
As for your first problem, i don't know but perhaps you could try googling it.
For the second one, i'm not quite sure if this is what you mean but you can get a delivery status report on the stock messaging app although i have the R800i.

Oh okay, thanks for the second issue! I didn't know the name of it, I would have had it forever ago. Still having an issue with sending photos on the stock messaging app unfortunately...
EDIT: I forgot to mention, I tried disabling wifi and that didn't work, my mobile data is on as well. I tried going to a website then sending, still stuck on "sending."
EDIT2: Just bought this app and it won't send mms photos either...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.iphonestyle.mms&hl=en
Now I REALLY don't want to go back to GO SMS because I spent money on this one. I love this iPhone type app, but I just wanna send MMS...

I'm using a note 3 with my Moto360 on tmobile. I have 2 issues with the watch.
1.When I receive a text or email I get no option to reply like others seem to have. Just "send to phone"
2. If I receive more than one text or email from different people around the same time I can only see the subject line in both notifications, there is no way to read either message only when I send it to the phone can I read it there.
Anyone else having these issues and does anyone know how to fix them?

You have to either tap the notification, or swipe it up, then swipe to the left to see all of the options

Some apps don't have wear options yet. Until we get more updates it is what it is.

I'm using an m8 and g3 on T-Mobile, same thing. Like the guy above me said, some apps just don't have the option yet unfortunately. Still nice to see what's coming in on the phone and not have to pull it out every time

I was having the same issues using my 1st gen Moto X and it was driving me crazy. I was able to resolve both issues by switching the defualt SMS app to Hangouts and by removing my gmail account from the default Android mail app that is built in. I setup my gmail using the actual gmail app and it worked. I now can view multiple emails on the Moto 360 and have the options to reply to texts.
I just picked up the Verizon G Pad 8.3 4G LTE for the $19.99 deal and it was added on as a separate line (so really $260.00) with it's own phone number. I figured since it had it's own number, I would be able to send and receive texts on it, using that number - apparently not ?
I tried sending a text to that number, but the tablet never gets it, so I am taking for granted it isn't standalone text capable ? Figured it would be since it had it's own phone number
Sorry if it is a stupid question
Cant use it on it's own number.....but you can make calls on it with hangouts...just download the dialer..it also does texts. Verizons message + app will also send text.
I'm old and easily confused I guess. It can't use it's own number, but then you say with Verizon Messages it will text ? I'm guessing it will only text using the G3 phone number it is paired with and not it's own number then as I was using Verizon Messages ?
Sorry , I can be a bit dim at times

Yes don with the g3 number...the number associated with the tablet is just for billing purposes. Still useful to be able to text with the tablet though.
There isnt a sms messenger app available. Maybe try installing a 3rd party app?
You should still be ablr to usr the verizon wireless app to text (like amy other vdrizon phone)
When you do sync your tablet with phone to text on tablet every text you sent saved deleted is going to sync up on tablet its a pain in the ass lol
mighty text let's you send from tab through phone. also receive, both assuming your phone is on and had signal. also a Web instead from your computer. been using it for a long time
