Hi,
Basically my brothers phone keeps running out of internal memory and lags alot. I have a desire with Data2sd and have a 1gb EXT4 on sd card and now have 1gb internal space.
Is there a similar rom for the wildfire and which is the most stable. I would search but have no idea about the wildfire so any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Is there a similar Rom to what? What Rom is he currently using? You gotta post more info.
I'm not lucky,I'm blessed.
What I understand is that he wants to use a2sd script.
You can use darktremor script just search for it in dev section.
Please do provide info related to rom and phone when asking for help.

Alternatively you can use the following roms. These have the script included.
Galaxy rom (cm based)
Rempuzzle rom (sense based)

I've been following that but the step 2 part ends with around 8 lines of code that disappears too quickly to read and im back at the hboot screen still displaying 1.01.0002
I didn't have to use this personally, so I don't know much, but have you tried launching it through cmd? (if it's a cmd tool)
First "cd [location of tool]", then "nameoftool.exe"
You can try my guide, everything is explained in detail:

I've rooted my HTC Desire quite a long time ago and am currently running Official_FroYo_2.10.405.2, but have never installed Apps2SD.
I want to install it now as I'm running out of space in the pathetic excuse for an internal memory that this phone has...
My questions are:
- Can I install Apps2SD on the ROM I currently have?
- Do I follow just any guide? even if it's almost 2 years old? (for example: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=535232), Or do I need to look for something newer, or more specific to my phone?
- What should I backup before I install Apps2SD?
Thanks in advance!
I feel best way is to install another rom with it built in. Try leedroid for familiar interface else you can check out miui or cm7.
There are also sense Rome with it.

He can manually enable it in every rom that supports init.d scripts. But if his profficiency isn't high enough, I'd agree with you and suggest sticking to droidzone's roms.

I ask it here because some roms in your link have bugs and are not daily use oriented. So, im here to know is someone found a stable data2sd rom with GB and sense. In this case search function is not usefull to have feedbacks

Non-existent ROM for the Desire ATM - Either You go S-Off and change HBOOT or you won't get much internal space.
AFAIK 2.3.4 has not been ported yet.

Not at all true. You should read about data2sd.
To op: try gingerburst
You will get exactly what you wish. See the screenshots for my OP. It's designed for stock hboot, and needs only ext4 partition for internal memory. You can increase it to as much as you required. My internal memory is 2.5GB, of which 1.5 GB is still free, lol

Guys, once a thread is started, try to help newbies.. some of the greatest ideas around here were evolved from apparently nonsensical queries
Sent from my Desire running Supernova Extreme - Gingerbread goodness with Unlimited Internal memory
I understand what you're saying, but meanwhile xda becomes clogged up because there is exactly the same question asked in about a million different threads. The same answers can be found in every one of those threads, so why have more than one? *wishful thinking I know*

It's true.. Users should search before posting. But once a thread is started, it's not going to be deleted. So my approach is to give them answers they need so that the thread fades to the backgound.. And in his case, he had specific requirements in his mind, so he has apparently researched stuff before posting and I think it deserves appreciation for that..

Try this, follow my steps
1. Boot up into recovery mode
2. Wipe data, cache, dalvik-cache
3. Install ROM + GApps
4. Install the beginners patch in the local UltraBeam GB patch thread download all 3 or 2
You can easily get the update for V 1.0.7 from OTA
5. reboot system, now see the results?
Also try mini turbo boost, it increases UltraBeam GB way more faster :good:
@Stone. Cold
Could you please point me to a link where i can download your Ultrabeam GB Revolutionary V5 ROM?

Here you go mate
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2410977
just follow all instructions if you're not and MTD user
and if you're an MTD user then use the MTD instructions
It's best to stick with not being an MTD unless you know what you'e doing
Thanks for your reply, but isn't it the 1.1 version of your ROM? How can i get the latest? ( it's v7 if I'm not wrong)

If it is possible with evervolv kernel to make a ROM for CDMA, then I will do.
Take it easy, I don't want your money. I need you to contribute knowledge on this because I don't have time to read all cdma related rom threads for htc desire. If you stumble across the relevant information just share it with me.
Cheers!

Awesome ROM. This really gives my tired Desire a new lease on life .

Does this problem also occurs on the stock ROM?
Are you the first owner of the A8181?
As well it might be a hardware problem (for example, damage), or overheating caused by the motherboard.

Thank you for replying. No, never occurred on stock. I used beanstalk ROM for 6 months , except rare reboots, everything was cool , until my SD card blow up. A week ago I got a class 10 card and i flashed beanstalk again, then my phone started to reboot while phone calls and overheating. After that i decided to flash liquidsmooth but reboots while calling and overheating continue.

Problem with Liquidsmooth v3.2 on HTC Desire Bravo
Hi
My faithful Samsung S3 died 6 weeks before the end of my contract and I'm trying to resurrect my old HTC Desire to keep me going. When I booted it, it was still running Cmd 7 and of course, hardly and of my usual apps would work on it.
I did a bit of reading today and then followed the instructions for installing Liquidsmooth v3.2 which was all good and made me much happier. Only problem is, I've installed only 8 apps and have run out of internal memory despite having activated app2sd. I know that it's working, as the Ext2 partition is about half full but the internal memory is down to only 4mb of space and barely functioning.
I've obviously done something stupid! Can someone help?
Thanks
