Help me choose a SGS2 case+protector

Hi guys,
When I look at the forum, it's like advertisements of new products which doesn't tell me a lot. So can you please recommend me:
A case that:
doesn't require me to open some part to access the screen
protects the phone well against drops
is comfortable to hold and touch (my fingers won't get itchy etc.)
And a screen protector that:
protects without distorting the image quality and responsiveness of the screen
doesn't leave bubbles inside (I hate the bubbles) or fingerprints outside
is a little slippery so it won't be a hard job for me to move fingers on the screen
THANKS IN ADVANCE FELLAS!
There is a hybrid case, just search hybrid case sgs2 in amazon,
I'm perfectly happy with that.
Downsides:
- not so slim anymore
- more weight
But my phone feels safe
And I'd suggest the Mumbi-screen protectors,
but you'll still some have fingerprints.
But once applied right (not easy btw )
they fit perfectly
Muta
you can look at the case-mate tough or the otterbox commuter, they both rock.
i bought the case-mate a few days ago, waiting untill it arrives
I also recommend the cases that other posters have, for a screen protector look no further than this.
http://www.amazon.com/SGP-Samsung-Galaxy-Protector-Oleophobic/dp/B0056C3JT6
Ive just recieved a Zenus Air Jacket looks sleek and smart, they do a range of colours, and it comes with a screen protector too, although i tried to fit mine and some dust came out of nowhere and went onto my screen so i had to bin it , hopefully the gorilla glass will protect instead
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/zenus-skin-air-jacket-series-for-samsung-galaxy-s2-i9100-white-p29786.htm
I have a transparent Casemate Barely There.
It's a bit rigid but I think is the thinnest case on sale.
The transparent one gives to the phone a nice shiny look.
Suggested
I bought a hardcase, but i had the problem with the echo voice !
i heard my own voice twice !
is the problem fixed now?
In my personal opinion i like otterbox for SGS2, fits well, it has a metal cover for back side and plastic covers for usb port and earphones, i have one.

Personally, I bought a pack screen protector + white case on ebay.
You can search on ebay :
LOT 7en1 Housse Etui Coque Rigide/FILMS Protecteur Pour Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100
sold by citephone
I just tried different case.
I prefer hard cover.
I try
1) Phoenix tough case: i broke upper corner, rubber come out after a bit of time
Vote: 3/10
Price around 15€
2) Samsung Original Mesh Vent case: Too sensitive and since have hole the dust come in and leave and put it many times to clean i broke the upper corner. In any case it offer a very low protection
Vote 5.5/10
Price around 18€
3)Tpu soft cover gel from ebay: it is not so soft but offer a better protection than other but for it's material attire too many dust on the border. It offer a good grip
Price 5€
Vote 6.5/10 (for now)
At end i buy also Case-Mate Tough that have 2 layer protection but it has not arrived.
Arrived
Perfect case optimal protection and grip. 2 thing. Inside silicon collect dust and dont put while phone is on because it press power button to reboot
Incipio NGP case. Martin Fields screen protector.
A lot of people are recommending products that does not stand out. I prefer to make my phone special so it stands out when I take it out. I like sleek , high tech looking things and thats what this setup is about:
I am currently using metal black battery cover:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263780
with real aluminum black phone case: (see akiba slider or SZLF slider)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263780
(SZLF or china made version on ebay for $30, search i9100 metal case)
with ultra optics
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1263780
result is a Sleek phone with a premium metal feel to it. The ultra optics cancels out fingerprints while maintaining good optical clarity. (you may need to clean it still every 1 week or so like any protector)
If you are daring, remove the case and just replace the housing for 15$ on ebay every time it gets too scratched.

I got the Incipio NGP case as well and it is pretty sweet--has a great feel and is thin, although the back is a little bit too smooth but I still like it.
That is a good idea on the housing. I might try a white housing.
What is your opinion on a screen protector? I don't like how it adds a layer and changes the feel--and besides, the SGS2 has gorilla glass.

Gel case

Just got my white gel style case for my one x, looks good in white(I have the grey handset) got hole for charger back speaker and the earphone jack, protects the camera lens when on flat surface, nice and soft, no scratching when putting it on. Amazon, clickjunkie, £4-99 with six screen protectors.

Hey guys.
The most concerning thing for me was protecting the camera lens. After looking around I purchased this one in blue from Ebay for under 8 quid and it's feels, looks and fits the phone perfect and fits around the camera lens snuggly and protrudes approx 1 ml above the lens allowing us to lay it down on front or back without the phone touching the surface at any time. Highly recommended, I have included a link for u to see the case for urself.

I received my Ultra Thin Air case this morning, took some quick pictures before went to work.
After using it for a day, here are my impressions:
The good points:
The case feels similar to the back of Galaxy S III, with the non-slippery coating/plastic. But it is less glossy so it does not attract grassy finger prints as much as the S III.
The case feels very good in the hand, it is extremely light, and you almost fell no weight difference with the case on.
It looks great, fitting is almost perfect, the only minor issue I can find is some of the speak grills don’t link up perfectly with the grill cut outs on the case. This is a minor cosmetic issue and the only fault I can find.
The case does protect all the corners of the phone, and will not come off that easy consider it does not wrap around the phone on all sides.
The Not so good points:
This case will not protect the screen when you lay it face down, as it doesn’t have raised lips around the sides.
The case does protect the camera lenses as it protrude very slight around the lenses (maybe 0.5mm), But it is too shallow for my liking, so I’ll be using a cut out from a screen protector to cover it.
The included screen protector is too narrow for my liking. The side cut out is the same width as the screen.
The conclusion:
There are other snap-on cases that are cheaper and offer better protections for the screen and back camera. However, if you want a light minimalist case with great design and similar feel to the naked phone while still offer good protection, than this might be the case for you.
Personally I found £17 a bit too much for this case, as I’ve much cheaper cases offer the same protection (see last two pics). However, those made the One X feel cheap in the hand and masked the beautiful design. With this snap-on cover, I have no problem show case this phone; the phone looks and feels just as good with this case on.
P.S. Click on the image in the po-up window to to launch the photo in a new window, then click the photo again to see it in full resolution, or you can right click an image below and select "open link in a new tab".
P.P.S. Photographed using the Galaxy s III, images looks very good even after compressed by XDA, I think it is a bit better than the camera on the One X.
As far as screen protector issue is concerned its the same for every screen protector out there coz One X has a slight curve n the protector is gonna develop bubbles if it reaches the sides..but its an Ultra Oleophobic Film n comes with a hardness rating of 3H so its almost impossible to scratch..
N all the hard cases of each n every phone come shy of the screen so its not an issue..n if u have the screen protector on then u don't have to worry coz as I said its one of the toughest protectors out there..
N as far as I can make out from the pics the camera is protected ..I mean its not gonna touch the surface when u put the phone down..its the same as my official c700 case..
But the fact is that I have searched a lot n also bought some cases for my HOX but all of them completely spoil the look n feel of One X..this is the most gorgeous looking cases out there..n its not cheap plastic but polycarbonate so it feels good too n won't get scratched that easily..

Clean your screen thoroughly first with the cloth n lift off any particles with a cello tape..make sure u dont have a single particle on the screen..then start applying the protector from the top n gradually peeling off the back layer as u go down..n make sure that while going down u remove any bubbles if any immediately even before completion of application as they will become harder to remove later on..
If u aren't sure then check out any video on YouTube..but don't spoil it coz its an awesome protector n separately it costs $13..

Well, the application was a success It's the best I've ever done while applying a screen protector. It was probably due to the fact that the film doesn't reach the edge . To anyone wondering, the edge of the film is hardly noticeable!

Not at all, there is no difference with photo taken with or without this case mate.
The best feature of this case is it makes the phone much securer to hold, as the stock back is very slippery. The back of this case is like a less glossy version of SIII.
P.S. Added couple of photos, the 1st one was taken with the case, and 2nd one without the case.
Thanks very much.
I ask this becouse i saw somewhere that problem with that case. Now im not concerned any more and ill buy this case
thanks
When the hell did sgp make this????

TOUGHEST protection case out there? Otterbox?

Hey folks,
I adore my HTC ONE so much that it deserves the very best protection ever made for a smartphone.
With my HTC EVO 3D I always used the DEFENDER CASE mady by OTTERBOX (awesome thing), but OTTERBOX did not develop a satisfactory case for the ONE. Why? The screen protection of the DEFENDER case ends where the HTC button starts, thus allowing dust to crawl under the screen protector. Whoever developed this deserves a smack on the head.
I like OTTERBOX, but f*ck it, if they don't produce protection for adventurers, I'll spend my money somewhere else...
Recommend me the toughest protection you know of for this great phone!

Good job ignoring the OP and disregarding his request.
I too, am searching for a good rugged style case. I tried 2 of the cheap Chinese otter box style cases. They don't fit well and loosen up after you take them off. I think the best solution for now, is to use the defender with a good screen protector and rip out the defender's sorry excuse for a built-in shield.

I'm using a Trident kraken AMS for my one with the bike mount accessory. The case is not that high quality as would have expected and also I can not see how the hell can it be considered dust and rain resistant (as per their own description) since the speaker grills are exposed.
I took off the pathetic screen shield and replaced it with a continuous plastic film which is not sealing the entire front of the phone.
However .. I'm disappointed with the build quality of this expensive case.

Any case for the ONE covering EVERYTHING? I don't care if it looks like a soldier's phone afterwards, my phone DESERVES the most rugged and awesomest protection ever made in history! Perhaps, I should not even use it. ^^
I would just recommend an regular hybrid double layer case, they work just as well as an trident/otter case. But the price is almost 4x as much for these branded products.

lol... keep in a lock box where ever u go .. and attach a bluetooth for receiving calls.... U CANT TOUCH ME!
on a side note: its just a phone, holds no value in real life. just a gadget so that you keep feeling special.
I got the Hyperion dual layer case from amazon for ten bucks. I do general contracting work, flimsy plastic clip got snagged and broke while on 18 foot ladder. Dropped to asphalt driveway, a few scuffs on case, phone no damage. I replaced clip with metal one from amazon, and cover usb and 3.5 with electrical tape. Works great for me and I am confident with it. Any resourceful adventurer can easily replace clip (epoxy, small rounded bolt and nut)

I like the dual-layer cases with a soft silicone inner glove and a hard plastic shell. I wanted one that had a cutout for the power button so I could use the IR blaster. It looks pretty sturdy and has protection for the corners. I'll let you know how it fits and take some pics when it arrives.

It looks nice, but I'd skip the top layer. The One really needs a screen protector that is bonded directly to the screen. The problem with rigid screen protectors that aren't bonded is gunk can enter through the speaker cutouts.

I personally have the otterbox commutter and don't even use a screen protector still not a scratch I clean it over and never put keys in same pocket as phone but the screen is made to be UN scratchable sand is reallly the main thing to watch out for
If you want a full screen protector buy a premium one from a bigger phone like note or something and cut it with a razor blade to cover all the way from both speakers I've done it already but screen protectors go bad and get dust under then after a while and never look as good as the phone does without protector

[Review] IMAK Cowboy Case

A very quick review, the IMAK cowboy case in black arrived today from china, £3.98 free delivery and arrived in 5 days - impressive. So far, this is he best case (for me) I have come across.
I have to say I am VERY impressed with this case, while it doesn't provide massive shock protection, it does protect the 10's back, sides & the whole bezel (no cut-outs like some other case's). Its very slim. A clever design element is the corners - they are slightly cut to allow you to fit the case on the phone. Its tight fitting and good looking. All cutouts for the camera and sockets in the right places. Buttons all work well through the case. Best of all is the material its made of - its plastic, but has a "sandy" feel to it providing excellent grip and good scratch resistance to the actual case. Its matte finished, not glossy. Not much else i can say other than that - the pictures show all.

I ordered the Blue version for my Gold HTC! Should be arriving tomorrow.
I got mine today. Black with carbon and I have to say it's brilliant. Great case for the money. Feels really nice in the hand, button feel is excellent, perfect match, decent protection. Only unknown is the durability. We will see in couple of weeks!

Durability ?
Tthis case is the best mask I've ever had on any cell phone!
Imak case is awesome. I've had 2 black ones. First started peeling badly after like 3 month and second cracked at the corner. Right now I have the Gunmetal imak. Very soft rubberised feel. My all time favorite cases. Sand finish is kind of like bear motion case that was for m7 but covers all sides. I would say they last 3 - 6 month. Great for the money
No problem for now. And I wash the mask every day using soap. Best case ever.
I just picked up both the blue and black versions of these. I like the texture, but don't love it, so if it starts peeling I'll probably sand it off and see how well that works.
I dropped my phone today from waist height. It fell onto hard ceramic tiles and landed on the bottom corner. The case popped off and I heard a horrible cracking sound, but after picking up both, there wasn't any damage to the phone. In short, the IMAK Cowboy did its job, but didn't survive the fall. I've already ordered a replacement and will be using my black one until then.

I've already ordered a replacement and will be using my black one until then.

Agreed! These cases and the Nillkin Nature clear TPU are my favorites for this phone.
Hi.
I have order it 4 days ago. I'm waiting for delivery....maybe in one month.....It comes very far from France
I've been using IMAK for some time now and love the grip and how thin it is. It's the daily case on my V20 and Mi Max and I have 2 of them for the 10, but I find myself liking the Nillkin clear TPU a little more. The grip is still there and it's clear so I can see the red anodized body of the phone.
I have received my IMAK Case, and it is really the best case for HTC 10.
Before i have Spigen One...bur it is too big.
Imak is very slim and fit perfectly.....and only for less than 5 euros.
Order 4 january in Hong Kong and receive the 24 january in France.
