I have 2 Phones, one for me and one for my wife. I flashed mine with liquidsmooth and is great, very happy. So i decided to do my wifes as well. All went well, except when it came to the bluetooth connection to my car. before i flashed hers both phone connected fine, but now only one or the other connects because now for some reason they both have the same bluetooth address, so now i cannot even send send anything to her via bluetooth. How can flashing a custom rom change the bluetooth address on a phone ?. Any as i took a backup of her efs folder, i thought restoring that would fix it, but no cigar. Does any one know how to fix this issue ? or know how to change the bluetooth address on the phone ? Gee i thought these addresses would be unique on phones....
Is this a question or development...

I have put several ei22 roms on my phone and all have the same issue. I have "anti" by zimperium and it won't map any network I am on. I revert back to the froyo rom I was using.. supernova and it works fine... I'm wondering if it is all the wifi fixes that have been done. I am able to log on to my wifi and use it fine. Also Anti connects fine and gets my ip and router name fine. I have also tried on 3 different routers I have. Any ideas? If this is in the wrong place I apologize.

ok...why do you need "anti" for? it's a network exploit tester. thats what i think is causing your wifi issue. it's probably blocking your network ip port. which only really works on computers.
read the OP
If you would have read you would see that the only wifi issue I have is running anti. Other than that my wifi is fine. Also if you would have read it plainly states I use anti for that exact purpose. Some people use programs such as this to make our jobs easier.
I just installed antilite and it doesn't work. Its just the app isn't working with gb. Its also in reviews that its not working on all phones.

lol, thanks. Actually i was hoping an answer from anyone having problems.
I was having them quite often, figured out it was only when I had DSP manager or Awesome beats installed AND set to modify the bluetooth sound. Not sure if this is your case or not but thought I would chime in. To fix I just unchecked ALL options under bluetooth then unpaired. (Turn off BT go into BT on phone, unpair, turn BT on phone off, reboot phone) then I repaired and no more disconnects.

I've been having this problem with my Sony head unit and GN. It takes a couple tries for a2dp to connect and will randomly disconnect. Happened on ICS too.
Stock rooted.

I got lots of disconnections from my car audio system.
My heart rate monitor and nokia head set disconnects too much. Over 5 times in one hour.
My wife's GN also disconnects from her Kenwood head unit. Far less frequently than mine, but it happens. I'm surprised more people haven't chimed in on this issue. My dad just got his GN yesterday so I'll check his tonight to see if it too suffers from this problem.

at least i am not the only one with problems. Since i never tested bluetooth in stock ICS i thought it could be some hardware problem. But apparently other people have too ...
I had no such issues. I use it with a Plantronic 925 and a Gear4 BT stereo speaker, none if them working differently than they did on ICS.

I haven't had problems with Bluetooth audio. When I use Bluetooth File Transfer between my Xoom and Gnex, I can view my Xoom's file system from my GNex. When I try to view my Gnex file system, I get a an error message saying the Nexus does not support OBEX FTP, which it should. Not a big deal but it is a nuisance.

I am gonna test this !
i notice Bluetooth issues when connected to my motorcycle helmet.
using stock or other custom roms it will start to cut out or skip when i put the phone in my pocket and at highway speed it loses connection completely.
when using cm10 "official not the kangs" it has no issue whatsoever and the connection distance is improved 20x. i can have the phone 20 meters away and it still stays connected and even at highway speeds.

sorry my question , but what is cm10 ?

CM10 = Cyanogenmod Version 10. It is the first Jelly Bean Rom from Cyanogenmod. There are many threads on the topic but you can also find information on their site.
The official nightly releases of this version has just been released for the VZW and Sprint Galaxy Nexus as well as other devices.

i will check if there is a maguro version available to see if thet fixed the bluetooth problems...
Ok, so I thought initially that it had to do with my bluetooth headset and the audio switching away back to the handset randomly (headset icon in the dialer stays lit). However, I also noticed now that when I'm sitting at my desk and it switches away from the headset and I then press the speaker icon, it'll also suddenly turn off the speaker as well and go back to the handset.
Running CleanRom AT&T SE3.0, I317UCAMC3. It's followed thru on a couple different rom flashes and modems so I'm not sure what the problem is, maybe radio related? RIL?
Not radio or Ril....
More likely a blue tooth reception issue. .
Look into the Cleanrom thread for the blue tooth related issues it had..
I haven't used CR for a while. ..so I can't remember the particulars. ...g
Edit...
Can't find the 3.0 link. ..and would like to review it again. ..
Have you got a working link ?

Yeah, but it's not just my bluetooth, it's even when I'm on speakerphone it's switching to internal again. Happens to two different bluetooth headsets as well.
But also, doesn't the Radio control the BT and Wifi? Maybe the RIL isn't involved but I thought the Radio was.
I checked the dev's website and it seems that he's retired that ROM entirely as it's no longer available for download. I wonder if he just pulled it due to needing more space on his server, there wasn't any bugs to speak of.

It is possible that your radio could be suffering from a problem. ..
The best way to test would of course be a complete restore via Odin. ..using Mr. Robinson rooted build. .then running triangle away and so forth. ..
It would tell you your radio condition....and if you are having trouble stock...then the device may be damaged. .
And regarding the 3.0 rom...I believe it's gone as well. ..g

I have had my Galaxy Nexus for just over a year and have been running MMuzzy's version of Android 4.3 since July 30th. Just today, my phone stopped connecting to my home router, and I have literally tried everything to fix the Wi-Fi connection. First I did the simple stuff like restarting the phone and putting it into airplane mode. Then, I tried forgetting the network and re-entering the password, and wiped the cache and the delvik cache. Finally, I reverted back to Android 4.2.2 with a clean install, but I still don't have a working Wi-fi connection.
When I click on the profile, it barely flashes "connecting" and just reverts to "Saved, secured..." I know that this is not a router issue since my laptop, roommate's phones and laptops, and my girlfriend's phone all work fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions at all? I'm worried that my phone is done-zo.
Have you tried connecting to another wifi network with your phone? You could also try to create a wifi hotspot on another mobile device and connect to it. If both works then you know at least that your GNex' wifi hardware isn't broken.
Total shot in the dark, bur have you updated the ROM to a new version? Maybe the dev implemented a kernel or some change to the kernel that caused wifi problems for you.

Upon waking up, my phone once again reconnected to my Wi-Fi. Totally bizarre, but 4.3 has been a complete crap shoot so far. Thanks for the replies, much appreciated!
probably you only had to reboot your router..something was wrong assigning the ip address to your nexus
Or DHCP pool was full.. Meh. Boring thread.

Hey so how many people have the Bluetooth keyboard/Bluetooth mouse problem where the connection cuts off after a few seconds and you cannot type? Is this indicative of a bad unit or is it a problem with the firmware and an update should fix it? Tried logitech, some China brand and another off amazon. None work continuously. It just disconnects and then if you type something it connects soon after..so frustrating cause I need a keyboard

When the N10.1-14 first came out there were reports of the same issue you're describing. It seemed to have quieted down. It is a h/w issue because people who exchanged their devices and got new ones no longer had problems using the same previously problematic HID devices including the Logitech K810. I'm a pretty heavy BT user and (knock on wood) have never had an issue.
Yea I contacted Samsung for repair. Hopefully it will fix..I really don't want to go back to the iPad due to iOS..everything about this tablet Is so nice

Hope they can fix it for you. I use a Logitech K810 BT keyboard and a Jawbone Jambox BT speaker w/ my GN/2014. Never had a problem with either one disconnecting. Just in case Samsung doesn't fix it (they don't have the best track record), can you exchange it for another one?
Nope unfortunately I bought it back in January so I gotta get it fixed or I gotta sell it lol.

But seems like a lot are having luck with the Logitech 810.. May give that a try

I had the same problem with the k810 tried other keyboards as well. I also believe it probably is a h/w issue. I rooted mine am running Scotts rom-clean rom 2.0 r2. I installed a root enabled app called Bluetooth keyboard easy connect by Mike Van Den Sluis, and also found another root enabled app called Bluetooth keyboard bug fix by Felipe Porge. I also don't have Samsung keyboard installed I'm using Google keyboard. With those changes I have fixed the problem and am no longer having any problems, I'm not convinced that the bug fix app actually did anything but in following the instructions for the BT keyboard easy connect and also granting superuser permission the problem is solved. My only problem is with clean ROM none of my air commands are working, not sure if it's due to something I did or if they are just not enabled with clean ROM.
Guys,
It seems a software-solution might've been found. Check the BT Keyboard thread (14 pages long). (I do not know if re-posting is allowed or not...)

Solyomszem
