its not a real error, mmcblk0p2 is optional, its a second partition with linux format on the SDCard
Try wipe cache and data after the install. It not Flash T-Mobile 2.2.1 stock
I had the same problem, and it was solved by
flashing T-mobile 2.2.1 stock (link found in xda).
However a later thought (without proof) is that
you should wipe both cache and data AFTER the
installation of the new ROM and this might help.
Please update.

SIMPLE FIX....
preform factory reset in recovery before (or after) flashing stock.
Stock odin flash does not flash or wipe data partition. and some files that you have in there become incompatible with older firmware and stop stock from booting.
NOTE!!!!! factory reset from STOCK recovery WILL WIPE SD CARD TOO!!! CWM recovery factory reset WILL NOT wipe sd card... backup your pics and downloads!!!!

I had a similar issue and was able to resolve it by using this guide to install CWM
http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-s3-sgh-i747-att-clockworkmod-recovery-99791/
reviving this thread because I'm having a similar issue. It was all my own doing I know I know. I was flashing the rooted/cwm tar from the sgs3 toolkit and the phone would do this thing where it would show the first 2 boot screens then go black and keep the blue LED on which actually alternated from lightblue to dark blue. I then tried to flash stock which did nothing. Then I got it to boot past the boot screens and show me both the samsung and att animation. it now hangs on the SAMSUNG screen. when I try and wipe data in CWM (6.0.2.3) it says this
(re-written)
-- wiping data --
Formatting /data...
Error Mounting /data!
Skipping format
formatting /cache
formatting /sd-ext
formatting /sdcard/.android.secure..
error mounting /sdcard/.android_secure!
skipping format...
data wipe complete.
I cannot get anything to wipe or mount and I cannot efs clear it in odin. I would love to be able to get back to stock since I believe this is recoverable. Thanks for reading my mess of problems and attempting to give some advice.

If you Odin back to stock, it should give you the stock Recovery, not CWM or TWRP. Try doing the Odin to stock again, then use the stock Recovery to reset to factory defaults.
If you used a JB stock with Odin, then try using an ICS stock with Odin. ICS is more reliable when it comes to fixing flash issues.
it looks like you didn't wipe cache and dalvik.
just go back to recovery and wipe them.
Don't know what I did but I fixed it. Thanks for replies. We can lay this thread back in the ground now.

I did all wipes except dalvik cache, because when I open that option the recovery goes back to the initial menu again.
and what about the backup thing?

I tried this version (5.0.2.6) with stock rom and didn't work
you need to revert filesystem back to rfs(i am working for a convert tool but need some time,so you'd better follow the guide)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1915998
then Flash clockworkmod recovery→restore

thank you but I didn't understand this guide
Hi there everyone and thank you for taking time to read this. I have an issue with my wifes Galaxy s2 a while back I flashed a cm10 rom and it didnt work right so I flashed jedi rom but ever since then I can't wipe data if I try to do it in recovery it gets stuck.
If I try to wipe cache it sais that can't wipe wrong path on sd, and when I try to shut the phone down it gets frozen on the goodby screen. I can't update my binary on super user. No other Rom will boot . Is there any way that I can odin this phone back to stock.. even though the back up I have is from stock rooted. But it still does the same thing.
when I boot into recovery now error saying E:can't open /cache/recovery/log
when I try to wipe dalvik it sais.. unknown volume for path [sd-ex]
any ideas?????

Are you on the latest 6.0.2.9? The 5.*.*.*. Doesn't work well with the newer roms. Update your cwm or switch to twrp, then you should fine.
Hi guys.
Anyone know how to fix E:failed to mount /efs (Invalid argument) ??? I'm using Samsung Galaxy grand Duos. I already Wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, install custom ROM and reflash official firmware but not fix it at all. :crying:

No. It's been so long I forget what all happened but during my attempt to fix it, I hard brick it. It was dead as can be, no life. Sold it as is. However, I bricked it because I made the mistake, the fix is out there I believe it is a matter of repartitioning the internal storage using ADB which I have limited knowledge of.
Good luck!
