I have HTC Desire GSM running CM7.1. Since today morning ringtone and notifications sounds are playing without call and alerts.
Ringtone plays when locking or unlocking the phone and notifications are random.
Moreover, they play at same volume. Changing volume using button shows volume bar decreasing but sound volume does not reduce. it stops after few seconds.
I havent changed any settings than Default profile's sounds setting. Even changing back to same setting doesn't solve the problem.
Couple of days back, i observed that ringtone wasnt playing even when receiving the call so i rebooted the phone after which it solved but then more annoying problem described above has started.
I don't know whether this is related but i am getting Link2SD mount warning since a few days. Any reason for this? Should i post this elsewhere if not related to sound problem?
Pls suggest how to solve.
Cheers,
Ashish
I had similar thing all day yesterday. Random notifications tones
Running mild wild cm 3.3 (based on Cm7)
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda premium
I stopped ringtones by disabling screen lock sounds under sounds settings.
But notifications sounds are still coming. I noticed this is because of mobile data network connection and disconnections and because roaming is enabled. i can turn it off but that is not clean resolution.
Any proper solution out there?
Hi I am running on MildWild V-3.9 and found some inconsistency behavior.
Sometime when I paired the Desire to my Bluetooth earpiece (Sony MW600), the ringtone and notification tone will stop playing via the external speaker. It only play from my earpiece.
I will have to reboot the phone in order to have the ringtone to play via the external speaker again.
I just did and the ringtone is working properly now, playing through both the external speaker and earpiece.
Hope the developer will read this and advice.
Thanks in advance.
Perhaps someone can share his experience using Bluetooth earpiece on MildWild V3.9?
Just flashed to V-4.0 .
Tested and found the Bluetooth function is still not working properly.
Have to reboot the Desire every time after disconnecting my earpiece else I'll be missing all my incoming calls.

Hi everyone!
I have a problem with my N7100 and CM10.1! After a while of using the ROM, I have no sound when I call, but my caller can hear me!
Whenever I have to flash again the ROM with full wipe and format the internal memory!
It's so bad !
I found nothing to fix the issue !!
Thanks for reading me !!

fix for no in call sound
hi i have been having this problem on various 4.2 and 4.3 aosp roms. after a lot of trial and error i found that the in call sound worked if some sound was played before dialing or receiving for the first time. it could be touch pad sound or unlock sound or dial pad sound. as i dont enable any of these i used tasker to play a short sound immediately after every boot and the in call sound has become consistent after using this method
hope this helps
Hello!
3 weeks ago I've purchased a Xperia E4g, since the I've been tweaking my phone.
I just noticed that the headset volume is too low, so I installed AlsaMixer and got really good results with the volume, but I want to make that changes permanent but I don't know how.
Everytime I reboot my phone or change the music player, the values go to default.

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with my Xiaomi Mi 6 with MIUI 10.0.1.0 stable: I always use the phone in silent mode, with no vibration either, because I send all the notifications to my Amazfit Bip, but, even though this, everytime I receive a notification whatsoever while listening to music or watching a video, the media sound is lowered.
It does that with Google Play Music and YouTube.
My phone only lowers the media volume, it doesn't actually play a notification sound, since it's in silent mode.
It's incredibly annoying.
I can't listen a single song without being disturbed.
I wandered through the options and found nothing about that: have you got suggestions?
Is this a MIUI feature or there's something wrong with my phone?
Thanks!
I think I found a workaround but this definitively needs to be a bug because it's a really nonsense behaviour.
I went to Settings > Sounds and Vibrations > Ringtone & Notification Sound > and I set "None" for Message Received and Default Notification Sound.
I made some tests and now I can receive notifications from WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger Lite, Signal, Telegram and GMail while listening to music, without the music being lowered.
(Sometimes it happens again BTW...).
Obviously, this is a nuisance when using the phone not in silent mode, because I won't hear most of notifications.
Hi sberla. Did you found any other solution to this issue? As a music lover and Spotify's, the experience with my new Mi8 has been not as good as I though. Thanks!!
Hi Manu!
No, unfortunately I didn't find anything else but with the workaround I described, everything is working fine now
My friend had same issue. In sound settings she checked "also vibrate for calls" + "vibrator in silent mode". This solved the issue. (Redmi Note 5)
go to the app that notifies and lowers the notification Settings > Apps > Manage Apps > <app> > Notifications and turn off the allow sound
i use miui 11 and this is the only solution that worked for me
A little bit late but, on MIUI 10/11 I use to workaround this problem just by setting the DND mode. Just after you put the smartphone in DND the multimedia volume will decrease to zero. Just rise it up again.
Thanks, it's a little bit uncomfortable but it should work!
Hey everyone, I finally found the settings, that turns this off - go to settings --> sound and vibrations --> and there is a "sound assistant". You just need to turn on "more sound sources" when you open it up
