Meh its all CM9 with a few user specific tweaks as far as ROMs go. Need a good stock rom with some system tweaks and some themeing maybe a custom kernel.

I concur. ASUS has kernel source posted on their site, I have the tools set up to compile but the latest update to Ubuntu killed it and I have to re-install. What tweaks do yall want?

I've been setting up my laptop to compile kernels, however I'm not an expert and I was apart from the scene til I got the 300. What version of Ubuntu is best to compile kernels? I got 12.4 set up however I thought I remember a while back people preferred 10.10 or something.
If you could get loop into the kernel that would be awesome. I was trying to install Ubuntu on the tab via a app on the market and it seems the cm9 kernel doesn't have loop so I couldn't get it going. Didn't try the Asus stock ROM yet. Don't have high hopes though.
Other than that the only other tweaks I can think of at the moment would be smartass governor and HAVS, if that's possible. Either way a custom kernel would be bomb.

I honestly haven't looked at the other CM builds but I'd say the biggest differences would be... I've added some tweaks for speed and RAM optimization, minor build prop changes and aero i think uses his kernel as well.
Thank you for including GApps. Not that it's a big deal but I've never quite understood why they are always separated.

Google basically made CM take gapps out. I started including them a while back on my Eris builds and decided I'll keep putting them in until someone tells me I can't anymore. LOL.
its all good do you mind sharing your setup so i can get the max outta this rom?
I'll probably give this a go soon. I think I have Workshed's ROM on my old Eris still lol.
Just a heads up for everyone, the same rule will probably apply for kernels. The only ones that will probably work are the stock CM or Aeroevan's .08 kernels.

Thanks for the heads up to everyone on the kernels. I was having some issues with sound and video playback initially with aeros ... not real sure why yet but I decided to just keep stock kernel for now.

Hehe... I haven't had to run this phone overclocked either. It's so much faster than the Eris I don't need to. Besides when I do overclock it I can't really tell that its goin faster. I just noticed the SD card read/write speed is set at 1024, I think you usually set the default higher thought you might wanna know.

This. Playing around with it, he hasn't done as much with it as he did on ICS (yet, anyway). The reboot menu is there and he added AVRCP 1.3. The status bar toggles, over clocking, etc. from ICS are not included thus far.
One thing I really wanted was the "mark all read" button in the e-mail app like he had in ICS.
Amazing thanks!

This is both unofficial and official. It's unofficial for the reasons you posted above. However, it's official in the sense that Pete asked for devs for the other devices to compile the ROM for the respective communities since he doesn't have the devices nor the time to do it himself. In other words, don't expect Pete himself to compile BB for Toroplus.
Those of you that may have been waiting for the wingray version will be disappointed. The system image is too large for the device. I will see if there might be some tweaks I can do easily to fix this but for now, this version is on hold indefinitely.

What is King Kang?
King Kang is essentially a hybrid ROM - its a mixture of AOKP, CyanogenMod, and ParanoidAndroid, bringing all their customizations to one rock solid and quick ROM. These numerous features combine to create a blend of features not seen anywhere else before. Make the user interface yours with this ROM. Change the DPI the ROM runs at, tweak the interface to your hearts content, while enjoying great battery life and stability. Never before have these features combined to create a ROM as feature-packed as King Kang. Credits for the features goes directly to the teams responsible - AOKP and CM for their respective work, and ParanoidAndroid for their wonderful DPI on-the-fly modifications. Without these teams, this ROM would not be possible.
This is a merge of AOKP, CM10, and Paranoid Android done by DAGr8. Thanks to him
This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. If kittens start to raid your house in mass, then I am not responsible (also, take a picture and post it on Reddit for archival purposes)
Thanks to:
- DAGr8
- Team KANG
- Team Douche
- Rohan32
- Paranoid Android Team
- Google

Flash normal jb gapps of your choice. These are recommended: http://d-h.st/1C0 4.2 gapps by KillDroidHack.
Please report any bugs to this thread, and I'll see if I can fix them, I threw this together for fun, and didn't do that much testing.
I also became really lazy and kanged Team KANG's boot animation.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:

No changelog, because I can't find one. I'll try to do nightlies. I'm syncing right now.
Also, keep in mind that I only have ~85 Mbps internet and a 3570K, so it might take a while to compile for all devices (I'm going to start supporting maguro and toroplus), but toro will always come first.

Do you have a quickie primer on what Linaro is, and how is the ROM is different than official CM 10.1? I take it that the user interface is, for now, the same as the official CM release, and that linaro is more tied with performance.

Its exactly the same as CM10.1 nightly accept compiled with Linaro Toolchain. Which is supposed to improve performance.
Thanks for making these. Cl3Kener was building em for a bit, but its nice to have another person working on it as well. He can take the time off and focus on other builds. Thanks man.
Edit: wish you had 4/22 build up.
Edit: can you post 4/22 nightly tonight??? Please?

He still is but his is Awsome Audio Mod.
Planning on syncing and building when I get to work in the morning. I build the ROMs on a server at work. They would take forever and a day on this old Lenovo T61
Nice to see you working on this but I'm in love with your carbon port for now
Why does notifications go to settings instead of notifications? How can I change it? ROM is great and super fast by the way.
Edit: Never mind found the setting for it. Great work my dude...

I thought so too. I'm compiling 4/23 now, hopefully it will be done and I can upload before I get off work. Otherwise it will be up tomorrow.

I didnt want to clutter up the other thread with a different kernels mixed in with the current code. This thread is going to remain stock or closed to.
I was thinking of Optimizing the stock clock tables and voltage (mabey adjustable VDD) I still dont feel the need to over clock, so thats the way it will stay for awhile. Lets see how close to Linux mainline we can get!
SOURCE
Check Commits for changelog, It's pretty straight forward that way.
Nice work! Does this play well with custom ROMs, or just stock and stock-based?

tears and sad face... eagerly awaiting someone to become our aosp kernel master.... you got the chops for it surprised you havent ran with the ball yet...with the multitudes of aosp roms popping up for use it would be ideal.... ive given it a look into doing it fo the eco mode kernel but is extremely confusing... so much props to you bud... thanks for the fantastic kernels

not a fan of smoocha?
I was running your Liberty Kernel 127 and flashed this a couple days ago. Since then, sometimes when i hit the Home button to return to the Home screen it won't go there until i manually put it there, then it works fine again. Doesn't make sense for just changing the kernel.
Im running Vectus V2. Anybody else seeing this?
Thanks again for doing all this work with both kernels.

I have no issues since flashing this kernel. My battery life has improved it seems.

No I'm a big fan of the smoocha in fact I've referred almost everyone to use it.... But was hoping evo could produce the eco mode kernel for aosp then I could just build team lgog kernel into all my builds and not have to worry about errors trying to build the eco myself.... Sounds selfish I guess but is how I think

If anyone wants to build the new source its on github. I'll try to get one here soon. Its patched pretty good from kernel .org. some patches were skipped due to breaking drivers but all in all its pretty complete and up to 3.4.51. I'll get it up to 3.4.55 asap
