im requesting changeable notification bar toggle widgets for ICS TW based roms.
like the ones in cyanogen, TSM, and AIO Mod.
these were a common feature on gb roms but i havent seen it on any rom but cm9.
the only one i use is the wifi toggle, the rest are a waste. im not sure why no one is going after them...
I think themers/devs are waiting on an official build because this mod is quite time consuming to knock out for every leak. There are plenty of guides in the international sgs II section if you want to give it a go.

I'm running the HyDrOG3N ICS ROM and am very happy with everything other than the lockscreen. I generally hate Touchwiz but after installing the official update on my girlfriend's phone, I find the lockscreen to be much better. If you get a new SMS then it appears on the lockscreen and you can swipe it to immediately go straight to the new message. Similar functionality for missed calls.
Is there any way to get the TouchWiz lockscreen on my ROM?
Download Magiclocker. There's a theme by h_zee13 called Galaxy Note which is exactly what you're after. It is a paid app though.

It's pretty useless since you can just drag down the notification bar on the lockscreen nowadays

I hate touchwiz too!
I ended up going back to a stock Samsung ROM in the end. I have to admit, as much as I used to hate touchwiz, I find it a lot more functional than vanilla ICS.

this app is pretty useful
its called widgetlocker lockscreen. its a paid app though but it has a lot of lockscreens and you don't have to be rooted
i can't paste the link here as I don't have ten posts yet.. sorry bout that
I'm on JB right now, i've tweaked it out to fill my needs in every posible way. I was on Xenon HD ROM before flashing JB, and i miss the multiple shortcut lockscreen, can anyone tell me if this can only be done by a mod in the ROM?? or can it be flashed with an app? I would prefer not removing the google shortcut, but i guess it would be very difficult.
afaik this is only possible via mod or custom ROM.
I have also gone through every single setting and haven't seen anything about adding more shortcuts to lockscreen.
Thanks for answering man. So I guess they won't be modifying any JB rom till
the mid July version comes out right. We'll have to wait for it a little longer. Those little mods are very helpful

Its not a stock feature. And yes, you'll see more of that once we get full source for 4.1 in the coming weeks.
Can someone please help me out with how to get an authentic ICS looking status bar... I am also looking to get the wifi arrows to show inside the wifi icon. When i try to replace the pics myself, for some reason, the arrows are pushed off to the side of the wifi icon, and again I am trying to get them in the middle. Can someone please point me to the best resource? thanks in advance.
What ROM you using? If its Darkside, try Phoenix6's theme.
Also this thread is for themes and apps, not Q&A of themes,

The Aosp theme is what you're looking for. Foreverloco has added versions for infamous and he also posted a version for chicago in the thread.

Or you could try AOKP and get actual AOSP status bar.

True, but for those that would like to use tw roms because of wifi calling which is the only reason I might go back or any other reasons that aokp or cm9 just doesn't do it for them this theme makes it look just right. And even though I'm on aokp at the moment I have to admit the toggles and pull down menu on this theme did look a lot better.
Ok, I decided to start this thread in order for these roms to get better. It's not just a question of who's the best but this thread aims to provide both groups with users expreriences in order for their roms to get better. In order for us to do that we need to state our:
** likes for each rom
** dislikes
** battery life
** other bugs
** suggestions
If you ask why I choose those to roms, it's just because they're my two favorites. Respect to all devs here us their work is simly amazing. Thread starts while AOKP is on build 3 and CNA on 3.6 release.
The only thing that I hate about aokp is their notification toggles. It doesnt fit at all!! (In the JB statusbar) while the power widget from cm10 fits like google put it in. So if aokp redisigns their toggles it would be nice.

CNA has an unroot option in the menu. Personally I prefer to have an unrooted device, but I like the customization of the ROM. It can be the best of both worlds.

See the toggles are what I love about aokp. I know I'm in the minority. Those toggles are stock jelly bean toggles just FYI.

same here, those toggles are my favorite, that power widget is the first thing i get rid of - i think it's an eyesore.
I was on CNA and its good but missing some features that I like in AOKP & CM10. Like the cm10 percentage battery and Led options like in aokp Also the navbar soft key customization. The main thing I noticed about CNA that I didn't like was, receiving text messages is slow, it takes a long time to get a text from the person. The only other ROM to be slow with receiving SMS was MIUI jellybean.

Hello,
I am on Deodexed FI27, rooted. I am wondering if there is a way or if there exists an app I can use to remove the Notification Toggles.
Do the Calk zips work on stock?
Thank you for your time.

Does this do anything for ya?

I like this mod a lot... it cleans up the notification drop-down considerably. The stock TW toggles aren't exactly gonna win any beauty pageants, and if you don't want toggles anyway, then this is perfect for you! I'm pretty sure it works universally on all ICS TW roms... works fine on Re-Calked fi25 (of course, make a backup before just in case)

I modeled parts of the status bar and pulldown for the Re-Calked mods from that thread because I wanted the day of week in the pulldown.
I can't say if all the mods from the Re-Calked thread will work on stock, but most of them should and there are quite a few. If you choose to try any, backup the phone first just in case. Well, you should be doing that anyway.
If you have any problems with mine. Hit me up in the Re-Calked thread. The link to the thread & the mods is in my sig or here:
