Hi Mates,
I bourght a new HTC One X - and I have NOT rooted it.
So in the original HTC One X I am now looking for the best Calendar app available - I am willing to pay for the best app available in case it cost money.
What Calendar app would you guys recommend, that can syncronize using ACTIVE SYNC to 2 different Exhange Calendars + several Gmail Calendars at the same time - AND showing all these calendar appointments in ONE VIEW?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,

someone correct me if im wrong, but activesync is for windows mobile and it won't sync with android devices, whatever app you use.
Business calendar pro is the best calendar app I've found so far. I only use it to sync with a couple of Google calendars though. I assume if you can sync exchange appointments to your phone then it would work with Business Calendar Pro as well.

Agreed.
I use it with multiple gmail and one activesync account and it can show all or none as you prefer. The activesync meetings were, up until recently showing full formatting HTML instead of just the meeting information - something that had only popped up on the new HTC ICS phones. But that's also been fixed by the latest update.
My favourite is the stock ICS calendar - note thats not the same as the stock HTC one!!
available here. free, looks great, and is very powerful

If you don't feel like removing battery to find the download with your S/N. The system gave me the following URL:
http://94.136.51.200/download/Driver//HTC Wildfire/setup_3.0.5422.exe
I know it says wildfire, but it's for desire aswell.
TY found out myself, but the server have been given me a not working link.
Btw. you can see the serial number in the settings menu.
New 3.0.5422 does not sync with Lotus Notes
The new version 3.0.5422 does not sync calendar with Lotus Notes, the previous 2.0.33 did. In the new only sync with Outlook calendar is available Desire 2.2 unrooted.
Palle.
Thanks for the heads up

Phuui thanks for the heads up
HTC Sync 3 missing feature?
In 2.0.33 it was possible to do a repair and overwrite information on the Desire. I have yet to find this feature in 3.0.5422
My first sync with Outlook resulted in the duplication on the Desire of most of my contacts and nearly all of my all day events in the calendar.
Anyone know of a way to remove contacts and calendar items on the phone without a hard reset?
Rgds

i'm struggling to find how i set the sync interval on the new version too. any ideas ?
I know Facebook fell out with Google about data sharing and stuff.
But I thought currently that only affected Nexus S.. (and new handsets after that).
Just noticed that my desire (currently running 2.3.3) can't sync the facebook calender like it could before on 2.2...
Anyone know if that's by design now?
I would have liked the birthday information coming across even though I rarely use FB.
I guess if I can't get it across I'll export and import it into my google calender... but it was nice to have!
cheers
Hmmm
Extract Facebook events and upload to Google Calender
Do this using a laptop

that's exactly what I was thinking was my last resort.
Not that I can say the FB -> Android calender was any good - I had loads of issues with birthdays duplicating and not showing up, and some showing up from people I had defriended... but it saved me from exporting and importing!
just wondered if any updates to GB was kicking off this 'service' nowadays
there's a nice looking guide here: http://androidforums.com/incredible-tips-tricks/83350-how-sync-contacts-birthdays-calendar.html
I got used to the look and feel of ICS calendar and email apps, which I prefer to their hTC counterparts.
Does the HOX come with these apps? If not, where can we find them (apk files)?
Cheers,
JP.

It comes with the HTC skin on top of it. I know you can install the stock email.apk (you will have 2 mails clients then but you could disable the htc one).
Don't know if calander.apk will work.
Thanks xmoo!
I got my HOX yesterday, and was happily surprised with the email app actually. I was previously using a Legend, and IMAP email has a serious bug: sent emails do not appear on the IMAP server.
Cheers,
JP.

The standard Adroid ICS calendar is still available in the widget drawer. But then as you mentioned, HTC has the best email client. Their calendar widget is not bad, furthermore you can resize the Agenda widget
I've installed Apex launcher to replace the somewhat limited Sense launcher, so I have no more access to the Sense widget. I prefer the look and simplicity of the Google Calendar widget.

Nope. It's quite different on month view.
Personally, I think ICS is the best for detailed and smart month view, but both week and day view are equal ...
Since original question mentioned not to be root, flash update is just can't help but you can search "Android 4 ICS Calendar" on Google play (I can't post link cause I'm newcomer on XDA)
PS : flashing Gapps over sense with root won't help, nor simply save .apk from stock ICS and install it on your HTC One X. I tried, it failed ...
Good luck
Hi all,
